Overcoming Fear in a Time of Chaos with Paul Selig

Overcoming Fear in a Time of Chaos with Paul Selig

There are moments in history when change arrives quietly, almost politely. And then there are moments when it feels as though someone has grabbed the tablecloth beneath civilization and started pulling. Institutions wobble. Beliefs we inherited no longer make sense. Systems that once seemed permanent begin showing cracks. People become frightened because the maps that guided their parents and grandparents suddenly don’t seem capable of describing the territory ahead.

Paul Selig is a renowned channeler and author whose guides teach about humanity’s relationship with fear, separation, divine consciousness, and what they describe as the realization of the inherent divine in form. Paul remains one of the more unusual people I’ve met in this space because he isn’t interested in convincing anyone that he’s mystical. In fact, after all these years, there’s still something wonderfully reluctant about his relationship with the phenomenon itself.

This time, however, something had changed. Paul’s channeling has become increasingly direct. For years, he would hear the guides almost like words being impressed upon him, whisper those words, and then repeat them aloud. That tiny delay gave him what he describes as the illusion of control. Now the guides can speak directly through him. Watching it happen in the studio is fascinating because the personality we know as Paul seems to move aside while something extraordinarily focused comes forward.

Our conversation eventually turned toward the obvious question: why does the world feel so unstable? Paul said his guides have been discussing humanity’s “time of reckoning” since his earliest books. Their definition of reckoning is fascinating—not necessarily punishment, apocalypse, or annihilation, but the confrontation of humanity with what humanity itself has created. Systems constructed through fear must eventually face the consequences of the consciousness that built them.

“The government may fall,” Paul said while describing the teaching. Institutions may collapse. Structures held together by fear, domination, greed, and control may no longer remain sustainable. Yet he framed this not as destruction for destruction’s sake, but as recreation. Sometimes we don’t need another patch on the roof. Sometimes the foundation itself has become incapable of supporting the house.

Then I asked something many of us have been feeling: why does everything seem to be speeding up? Paul’s guides came through directly. Their answer surprised me. They suggested that perhaps reality itself isn’t accelerating in quite the way we think. Instead, humanity may be perceiving what has always been present with less denial. Things hidden beneath cultural agreements, institutions, identities, and collective stories are becoming harder to ignore. We are being forced to see what we’ve created and how we’ve participated in creating it.

And that leads directly to fear.

Paul’s guides describe fear almost like a creative partner we never realized we’d hired. If we repeatedly align with fear, consult fear, and use fear as our compass, eventually our choices begin constructing a reality that confirms the original fear. This doesn’t mean ignoring genuine danger. It means recognizing how often we’re terrified not by what is actually happening, but by a future possibility we’ve rehearsed so many times that emotionally it has already become real.

Perhaps that is why one of the simplest statements in the entire conversation was also one of the strongest: “Stop agreeing to fear.”

The guides weren’t suggesting that we pretend darkness doesn’t exist. Their invitation was to stop staring exclusively into it. Fear says, What if everything goes wrong? A different consciousness asks, What is available beyond the perspective I’m currently trapped inside? The circumstances may not immediately change, but the consciousness meeting those circumstances does.

We also entered remarkably contemporary territory when I asked about artificial intelligence. The guides described AI as an expression of humanity’s desire to know and learn. Technology can serve. It can extend our capacities. It can help us understand information in ways previously impossible. But they drew a boundary that becomes increasingly relevant as these systems grow more sophisticated: the machine may be of Source, like everything else in existence, but the machine itself is not Source. A tool should remain in service rather than becoming the object of our surrender.

Ultimately, however, the conversation kept returning to separation. Why don’t we experience the divine directly? The guides’ answer was remarkably concise: ourselves. More specifically, the belief that we are separate from the Source of all things. Their teaching isn’t about destroying the personality or abandoning ordinary human life. It’s about integrating the human personality into a larger awareness—remembering that beneath our accumulated identities there may be something that was never separate in the first place.

SPIRITUAL TAKEAWAYS

  • Fear becomes creative when we make it our compass. Repeatedly choosing through fear can construct experiences that continually reinforce our belief that fear was justified.
  • Collapse and transformation can appear identical while we’re inside them. An old structure breaking apart may feel catastrophic before we can see what becomes possible without it.
  • The spiritual shift begins with remembering rather than acquiring. Paul’s guides suggest that divine consciousness isn’t something outside us that must be earned; the work is releasing the belief in separation that prevents us from recognizing what is already present.

Maybe humanity isn’t standing at the end of the world. Maybe we’re standing at the edge of a worldview. And edges are frightening because we can clearly see what we’re leaving while having almost no ability to see what hasn’t yet been created. The temptation is to cling to the familiar simply because it is familiar. But perhaps this moment asks something different of us: not certainty, not prediction, not blind optimism—but enough courage to stop allowing fear to decide what comes next.

Please enjoy my conversation with Paul Selig.

But everything seems to be sped up now. Yeah, everything seems to be going much faster. Why is that? Why does it feel like it's sped up, or is it actually speeding up, or is it just a feeling that we're getting?

Paul Selig 0:10
The challenges are to move through the debris that has to fall in order to create the new. The government may fall. All of these things are happening as a process of moving beyond what we've created in this other way, I think the bad news is we have to look at this stuff and live through this stuff in some ways. And the good news is we get to look at this stuff and move through it to something other. Allow the divine to know you, allow the call of the heart to be met. What is the purpose of this reality for a soul? I'm going to give you a terrible example that I'm going to regret.

Alex Ferrari 1:01
I like to welcome back to the show returning champion Paul Selig. How you doing, Paul?

Paul Selig 1:05
I'm good, thank you.

Alex Ferrari 1:06
Thank you so much for coming back. Thank you for coming down to Next Level Soul Studios, flying in from the tough place where you live. I mean, Maui's. Yeah. Thank you for doing that for us all. Happy to appreciate it. For people who don't know you, you were one of the very early, early even guests. I think you were in the teens or the 20s, and we're closing in on 700 episodes at this point. So, you've been with Next Level Soul for a while. So, I appreciate you giving us an opportunity when we were a small little fledgling show. So, I never forgot that. So, I appreciate that, my friend. Thank you. And it's it's you know out of all the channelers that we've spoken to on the show, you have always been a very unique in the space because you are the the reluctant channel to your own. You've said like a a lovely curmudgeon as you've called yourself because you kind of it kind of happened to you, but you're like I'm not really spiritual, I'm not really woo woo, but you do the work. So you're so beautiful in the way that you you show up for people, even though it's not something that you would if this wasn't happening for you. It's not something you would have searched out in that way to do this for a living, I mean,

Paul Selig 2:21
No, it's the last thing I thought I would ever do,

Alex Ferrari 2:24
Right? And one thing that was also unique about the way you channeled the guides is that out of every channel I've ever seen, I never saw anyone do it like you, which is repeating itself. So you would go, you would kind of, and then say, and it was people always ask me, "Do you believe this channel stuff's real? I'm like, "Watch this guy for an hour. How the hell is he doing that? Right? It was like, and you said in one of our interviews, you said, "If I could do this another way, I would. Like this, just the way it is. Yeah. So, but now you've the guides have up like updated the way they they speak through you. Can you explain to me what the new way is, and also why it happened now? Why are they choosing now to do it?

Paul Selig 3:08
You know, I've been doing this since I was in my early 30s, and initially, and this is important to understand. I think because when it started, I used to feel like somebody had their lips pressed against my forehead, and they were imprinting the words in one at a time. And as that would happen, I would form the words with my lips and whisper. So this was the whisper, and then I would have to repeat it because people couldn't hear me otherwise. So that's how this began. When they began delivering books, which was much later. I was 48, I think, when that happened. They were still whispering and repeating, and they were lecturing for hours at a time. Sometimes with this fast, fast, fast way. You'd listen to some recordings. You probably have to slow it down to really fully understand what was being said. Now, the new way, and I'll get back into I think what the old way was about for me and why it stayed as long as it did. The guides about a year and a half ago maybe started speaking directly, and it was a it was a shift. And when it finally happened fully, it was comfortable. But when it used to happen periodically, it was somewhat frightening to me. The direct, the direct, when it because it would happen intermittently over the years. There's one recording of me channeling in Mexico someplace from years ago, where the channeling went direct, and then the guides went into just sound like these vowels working, and it was it was like what is going on? I actually felt out of control in a way when that happened. That was a little spooky to me, you know. And with the whisper and repeat that used to go on, it was as if I had a half second delay. Just enough that I felt like I wasn't flying through the air without a net, and even if it just gave me the illusion of a tad of control, because that's really what it was-the illusion. If you can imagine, this is what it was like in the old days. If you ever see like ticker tape, like reading ticker tape, and one one after the other, because all I would ever hear would be a phrase, phrase upon phrase upon phrase, and then whole books would be delivered without my even knowing when a sentence would end or what the paragraph was, what the title of the book was. I was so busy whispering and repeating and whispering that I didn't even think about where it was going because I couldn't, so it was a way to keep me out of the way. I think from the guides, it kept me busy and out of the way. And they also said to me when this happened, they said, "You know, our energy was too enormous, and you had to be adjusted to be able to do it this way. And this is what happened. It was when when the book right after the book Divine Union, the book that's out now, was deliberate when this really started, and I suspect that that's what happened. I moved to a kind of union with the guides. There would be things periodically when I would work where they would step into me very fully, and my eyes have been known to change color. People have said, you know, you get very blue eyes when I, you know, it's been seen for years, and my face changes and things like that, and that was all fine. But I wasn't talking when those things were happening. When they begin to channel directly, periodically in intermittent lectures, there would be people would say, "Paul, you know, did you realize you were channeling directly for 20 minutes? And I actually didn't realize that I was, but initially I would complain about it because it felt again kind of out of control. I said a little like having sex in public. I mean, it's like weird, you know. I feel so enmeshed with this thing that's happening, and I don't feel like I have any say. The old whisper repeat allowed me to interrupt the teachings if I wanted to and say, "Hey, wait a minute, because I was able to hear just enough to be able to say this doesn't sound right, or I need to know more.

Alex Ferrari 3:08
Like a broadcast delay, like a seven-second broadcast delay. Like you should be cursed, but it's a split second.

Paul Selig 7:18
Yeah, split second. And now I find that I still can, but it's only because they're so aware of my presence in the background that they're anticipating my interruptions. So it's like even before I want to make a question, they say Paul has a question. I go, yeah, they're right, you know. And but I'm, I'm. It's it happens now. The difference is, is that I think I retain less than I used to because it's all so immediate.

Alex Ferrari 7:56
It's it's fascinating because as a channeler too, one of the other things that makes you unique in the space is that you challenge and question the teachings because just for your own understanding of what they're saying, you'll. And I remember even the olden the olden episodes that we did that that the the guides would be channeling, you'd be channeling the guides, and they're like, "Wait a minute, we must now stop and wait because Paul or the man in the chair has a question, and and he and he's like this and that, and it's just like it's so fascinating to me that you are that kind of like this reluctant channel that you question things. You're like, this is weird, but I'm gonna do this because it's helping people, and I'm showing up and everything. I have to ask you, why do you believe that? Not that they chose you, because this is obviously an agreement that you made with the guides prior to coming here, but this is just a unique packaging to this information, because there's there's resistance through you from the from the from the information coming out, where other channels are just wide open, and there's never any resistance. So I'm curious on what you think the reason is for not only the teachings, but for your own development. What are you learning from the resistance aspect of, and when I say resistance, questioning just for your own deification.

Paul Selig 9:19
I mean, there's a number of things to this, and I think it's important stuff for me in terms of my own process. I went on a spiritual path when I was 25 years old, and when I was, and shortly after that, began to open up psychically. But I was raised a New Yorker, and I was raised something of an atheist, and I am not an easy sell, you know, and I gained my spiritual life through challenge-great challenge, you know. It was coming out of you know addiction stuff, and I learned. About a higher power, and you know, a 12-step meeting on Times Square at midnight, you know, in New York, you know, and I and it was amazing to me. And I was given permission at that time to have a spiritual life, which was astonishing. I didn't know I could have one. I didn't know somebody like me could have one, and I didn't even know that I wanted one or had longed for one and didn't even know it. But I've never been a good newager, and I've never been fluffy with this stuff. And if it's not practical, I don't know what the use is. It's not entertainment. The guides I work with have been known to, and with book signing, one somebody raised their hands. I was just talking like Paul, and somebody said, "Will you bring your guides through now? And they came through and said, "Yes, we are not the entertainment. And that was it. That was it for the day. I went, "Oh God, this is who this is who chose to work with me. But I, when I began channeling, I was volunteering at a place that Marianne Williamson had founded called the Manhattan Center for Living, which was providing service for people that were living with life-challenging illness. Was the height of the AIDS epidemic, and I was working as an energy healer because I'd studied, and I would hear things for the people on the table, like I'd have my hands on their chests. I heard, "Who's Billy Bob? and they say, "Well, that's my brother, or that's my son, and I begin to get confirmation. So my trust in this stuff always had to do with the energy that would come through or the accuracy of the information. So here's my predicament: I have 13 books in print that my name is on the cover of, but I didn't write. I consider myself a collaborator. It's coming through me, but I don't want to be party to anything that could be harmful and destructive to other people. And at that level, if I hear something from the guides that I go, I don't know about this, or this feels too far out. I've been known to ask, and for the most part, they're going to say Paul has a question. In order for them to continue, they usually have to answer it. At this point, the relationship is such that they'll say Paul has a question. We'll take it up later, but they and I actually like when that happens because it reminds me that they're really in charge of this whole thing, you know, and that it's not my book, it's not my instruction. So when I say my job is to show up, I'm a radio, or and I my definition of channeling is very narrow compared to some other people's. I think of channeling as I do it as stenography, spoken stenography. The books are all spoken; they're not written into being. They're transcribed, and I under and I I understand inspiration. You know, I can do inspired writing, but the the difference with if it's inspired writing, I can go back and craft it and fix it up and make it pretty. The books are unedited; it's the channelings that come through as they come through. So I'm clear on how I need to work to retain a sense of integrity for what I do, and my resistance at times is to some of the fluff that gets carried around this kind of phenomena, you know. I am appreciative of other people's ways of working. It's we're all different, as you said, and that's beautiful, and it's as it should be. But in order for me to show up, I think I still have to have the ability to say I don't get it. And here's the other thing I don't understand it. I don't know how it happened. I just know that it happened, and I do understand that I was developed and prepared for this over a long period of time. I didn't arrive fully formed, and I was not looking to get a career in what people now call the spiritual market. It didn't exist when I was starting.

Alex Ferrari 14:00
Right.

Paul Selig 14:00
It wasn't there. There, there was no internet when I was starting. You know, and I was told by the guides the very first time I tried to organize a group in my apartment. They said, "Don't advertise. Do it. Don't advertise. And they brought people. I would bump into people on the street. You know, and I had a full apartment the first night, and that's the way it's been ever since. If I show up, which is my part of the deal for this, they're going to show up, and I only show up because somebody wants to hear it. I can't do this for myself.

Alex Ferrari 14:29
You've never channeled for yourself.

Paul Selig 14:31
I can get some information for the day. I can get stuff in the moment about when it's wise or when it's not wise. The challenge for me, you know, and I have a lot of friends that are very good psychics, and we trade sometimes, you know. And the thing is, if I-it's hard to read for yourself because if I have a desired outcome or fear, or you know, I can get in the way. Yeah, and I've read for people who were channels that I thought. Quite intelligent, that had gotten information for themselves that was way off, you know, and taken them down some real rabbit holes, and were surprised by that. And I don't think that it's not. I'm not. I think I'm capable of it. When I do it, I usually give somebody else questions to ask, and so that I can step behind a rock someplace and let the guides do their work.

Alex Ferrari 15:25
When you were saying that sometimes the guides come into you fully in your eyes and change, Juan, we were and for everyone you've been here for a few days now, and we've been working on our mastery course together about how to awaken the divine consciousness within you or how to connect to the divine consciousness within you, the true self, if you will. When you were, when we were recording, I was there working with you. They came in a couple of times, and some of the attunements. We'll talk about attunements. We'll talk about the course and all that later. But what I did see is I saw a different. I mean, I don't know who was sitting there, but it wasn't Paul. And it's I was recording it, and I'm like, "What's going on? Your eyes opened, and you were looking straight into the camera, and it was a full blown like transmission of frequency to the to the camera. That when you said, "I'm like, oh yeah, I realize that because you that does happen to you, and then when you're out, you were like, "Oh, I'm backed, but you were kind of in another place when you were doing that.

Paul Selig 16:28
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 16:28
It's really interesting. How does that feel for you?

Paul Selig 16:30
Oh, it feels wonderful.

Alex Ferrari 16:32
Yeah, is it kind of like you just let go of the the steering wheel essentially?

Paul Selig 16:36
When they step in fully, which I think is since the now that the channeling is so direct, I think it's far easier for this. It's less abrupt and less startling for me physically. I can tell you how it started. If would that be useful? So I, when I first started channeling, there was a period where I used to have to do it on my feet because there was so much energy, and I would be walking around with my eyes closed and my arms waving.

Alex Ferrari 17:03
Nervous system was trying to process.

Paul Selig 17:05
Yeah, it was boom, boom, boom. This video of me in those days, and it was pretty crazy looking, and I knew it and dangerous because I could have fallen over a whole row of people. And I was so relieved when I got to sit down again and do it. And then I was channeling. It was at the Omega Institute, and they said, "We want you to stand up. And they had me stand in front of each person there, and my arms were held out like this. I didn't know what that, and I was furious that I had to stand up and do this and look at everybody. And they did a spoke. They did their first spoken attunement that way, that they did in that kind of interchange. It wasn't the first attunement that they brought through, and I heard afterwards people said, "You have such beautiful blue eyes, and I said, "I don't have blue eyes. I'm, you know, I was probably wearing black. I wasn't wearing, you know, gray and black is basically my wardrobe. So I know the feelings. That's when it started, and I actually had hypnosis session like the next day or something, and the guy said, "I want to bring your guides in now. I'm going like, "Yeah, right. This is going to happen. Like they're going to show up, you know. And it happened. And this guy sat down next to me on this hypnotic realm bench with this great big hat on, and this long white beard, and these amazing blue eyes, and he was holding this gold rod, really staffed with embossed, you know, hieroglyphics on it, and I heard him say telepathically, "I said, this is what we use to attune people with like a tuning fork. It was a tuning fork like that, yeah. And I was holding. That's what I'd been holding when I was standing in front of all these people. So he explained it. So I remember where I started with this whole story that you probably didn't need to hear about how it happened. But the stepping into people for years, they would step in and still have me stand before each person and witness them. Really, the guides would see them through my eyes, and they would see them with a degree of love and compassion that I don't think I have ever experienced as Paul. That complete, Complete. I can't call it adoration because that sounds wrong, but it's complete acceptance and understanding.

Alex Ferrari 19:31
That's the word.

Paul Selig 19:32
And I would often cry during this thing. I mean, you know, my tears are running down my face, but I'm doing this thing, and a smile on my face that just felt frozen-and people are having a huge energetic experience with these things, and now they do them at times because the groups are larger. They can do the whole group at once, and it happens the same way. Yeah. Yeah, it's and and the experience of the energy is the same, but it feels amazing because it feels like what it means to be love. Best way I can say it.

Alex Ferrari 20:10
That's beautiful, beautiful. Now, with all this said, Paul, the the world seems a little wacky at the moment. Why does the world feel so spiritually unstable, right? Because it is great. Next question.

Paul Selig 20:26
You know, no, it is. It is, and you know, if you if you know, I don't like doing predictions at all yet. Of course, but if you go back and you look at the books from the very first book, I am the Word. They've been charting our trajectory as species, really, I suppose. Yeah, it's in the beginning, and they said in the very first book, humanity is at a time of reckoning, and a reckoning is a facing of oneself and all of one's creations, and everything that's been created in fear is going to be need to be recreated in a higher way, and everything structurally that holds fear. They've said this, you know. If the bank is built in fear, and that's the mortar that holds the brick together, the bank may collapse. The government may fall. All of these things are happening as a process of moving beyond what we've created in this other way. So I actually see it as a process, not of annihilation, but of recreation. I think the bad news is we have to look at this stuff and live through this stuff in some ways, and the good news is we get to look at this stuff and move through it to something other, and other when they talk about other means not yet named. You know, they say it's not about fixing the hole in the roof anymore. If the foundation is faulty, perhaps it needs to be rebuilt in another way, and that's from another level of consciousness that is not operating through fear. And when you want to talk about fear, you can also say greed and the need to dominate and control, and all of that stuff that we've been so enmeshed in.

Alex Ferrari 22:10
So that's actually fascinating. I love that analogy that because we are all seeing our these these institutions in every aspect of our society, cracking from medical to religion to politics to economy to Hollywood to all-they're all starting to crumble. But now that you've said that, that makes the most sense because most of those were created either in fear, in greed, or in control. Yeah, and where we're going, that doesn't make sense anymore. Yeah, like it just won't won't work.

Paul Selig 22:44
It can't last. Yeah, it's not sustainable. And I would love somebody who knows my work well maybe wants to go back through all of the old books and recordings because they talked about this specifically. And this wasn't all that long ago. Maybe 220 before it. When 220 before that, they they called out the what was going to be the coronavirus. I was living in New York City then, and they basically said there's going to be a big thing hitting New York, and blah blah blah blah blah. And somebody, a podcaster, I think, said, "What were they talking about? And the guy and I said, "I'm not going to say I don't know. And the guy said, "It's medical. And I went, "Oh crap! And I just said, "Please let me not be in New York for this when it happens, and I ended up in Costa Rica and shut out of New York because New York was in lockdown, and that's how I wound up at my new home in Maui because I couldn't get back home. But in those lectures, they were talking about the collapse of institutions, and they were including things like medicine and education. I thought education.

Alex Ferrari 23:42
Oh yeah.

Paul Selig 23:43
You know. Well, yeah. But at the time, it made no sense,

Alex Ferrari 23:46
Right! Because right now, I'm hearing stories of colleges starting to shudder.

Paul Selig 23:51
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 23:51
Because no, nobody's signing up because they the gig is up. People understand, like, hey, should I invest $200,000 in a degree that's not going to make me $200,000? You know, it doesn't make any sense anymore. It did when you were coming up. It made certain sense with my when I was coming up. I've shown my degree in film zero times in the entire time. I learned everything working. Yeah, really, it was a. I wouldn't say it was a waste, but it wasn't expensive. Yeah, comparatively.

Paul Selig 24:18
I'm an old educator, so you know, and I did work for a college that I loved dearly. That did close a couple of years ago, which was a bit of heartbreak. Yeah. Well, I think that was for a lot of valid reasons too. I think there was you know mismanagement here and there, and and again, the world has changed. And I, you know, I took me till I was 50 years old to pay off my student loans.

Alex Ferrari 24:39
Right.

Paul Selig 24:39
You know, I mean, I was really-I didn't take a vacation till those things were paid off, and that wasn't all that long ago. So I understand the desire not to be saddled with that, but I am a believer in in education, any form that it can take. Absolutely, doesn't have to be through an institution.

Alex Ferrari 24:56
And and again, depending on what you're doing, I don't want my doctor, to be taking some online courses, exactly right, or going to one or two retreats. Like that's not that. If you're an engineer, you should probably learn math. You know, like in in a proper. So there are certain things that make sense. Yeah. Still, I still think it's a little overpriced. It's completely overpriced. But but there are definitely places. But I agree with you. Education and either self-education or own pace or schooling or proper or workshops or retreats or courses are all part of what we're doing. I mean, watching this conversation is a form of education, not structured, but a form of it. And I think, I mean, I always pick up books. I always continuously are educating myself.

Paul Selig 25:42
I'm lazy compared to you. I, you know, but I understand now that the guides developed me through working through me for a long time before I became public. I've been doing this a long time before anybody knew who that guy was, and I'm actually grateful for that because I got to go through some of the stuff that other people go through, maybe a little earlier and maybe a little bit more privately, which was that period of feeling very special and the period, you know, all those things that I think come with the territory of discovering your abilities and all of that. And some of the stuff gotten kind of whacked out of me over time, but I, you know, I'm aware that the guys that I work with are teachers, and that's their job. They're not here to give me the news of the week, and they certainly haven't gotten me the relationship that I've asked for many times. And you know, and the lucky number is I haven't gotten those yet either. I don't think it works that way, right?

Alex Ferrari 26:35
Yeah, I was like, so the lottery numbers. It's not. I've never once heard that work. Now, one other thing that's happening right now is with all this kind of, I call it insanity or chaos because it's it's around, regardless if you, you know, we can both be out of it. I'm assuming you don't watch the news 24/7, neither do I. So we're kind of, kind of observing it, but we can observe the reality of what's happening. But everything seems to be sped up now. Yeah, everything seems to be going much faster. Why is that? Why does it feel like it's sped up, or is it actually speeding up, or is it just a feeling that we're getting?

Paul Selig 27:19
You know, I can ask the guides on this one. I think I might have to. I have the experience of it too, and it does feel like an escalation and a build. And to a crescendo, it's almost musical. I just don't know what the crescendo is, and I don't really know if that's necessarily something to look forward to. I don't. You know, I'll see if they want to say it's actually not. It's actually not accelerating or perceiving what's already been present in a much more responsive way. When you begin to understand the acclimatization that you have had to the world you have known has been filtered through denial, you will begin to see that all that is being shifted is denial. You are beginning to perceive what has always been there, what has always been operative, and you are having to see how you have been participatory to this as a culture, as one culture in many cultures, and as world. When this occurs, humanity has to reckon with its choices. You are being asked now to see before you what you have created in your plane of experience, physical reality, interpersonal reality, through the erection of structures that are no longer serving you in highways. If a structure needs to be renowned for the safety of humanity, it may well be raised. The challenges are to move through the debris that has to fall in order to create the new. We are not saying you will be destroyed or hold destruction. We are saying that what you believed should be may well be changed in order for the new to be born. And in order for that to occur, you are going to have to understand or comprehend that you have been utilizing faulty tools to navigate a shared plane of existence. One idea of worth at the cost of another's idea of low worth must be moved and shifted in order for you to comprehend that you are all of one source. Period.

Alex Ferrari 29:13
And for people who have never seen your channel before, that is the channel.

Paul Selig 29:16
That's the channel. That's the channel.

Alex Ferrari 29:17
And they always end period or end or yeah,

Paul Selig 29:20
They'll say period, period, period often.

Alex Ferrari 29:21
Yeah, exactly. What is humanity right now asleep to the most?

Paul Selig 29:27
Its own usefulness and reparation, its own usefulness in healing, its own usefulness in love, its own usefulness in caring, its own ability to learn in new ways, its own alignment to the source of all things, which is already present in each heart, the alignment to hope and the ability to care for those who require care, support those who cannot support themselves, and to learn to trust the innate divine, the inherent. Divine that must underline must be present in all manifestation. Period.

Alex Ferrari 30:05
You know we've been talking a lot about the fear and and people living in fear and that. What happens to people spiritually when they are constantly in fear?

Paul Selig 30:16
I don't know. I'm gonna say you know I mean because I've been as frightened as anybody that I've ever met. Really, no, I'm not joking. You know, and

Alex Ferrari 30:23
I get it.

Paul Selig 30:24
So, what happens to somebody who's always in fear? They end up creating through fear. They end up creating through fear, aligning to fear as an ally or a dark friend. They end up utilizing fear as a navigator or compass in their field, and they end up creating a life that supports their belief in what is so fearful-that is indeed the challenge period.

Alex Ferrari 30:46
Hey guys, I really hope you're enjoying this conversation. And the one thing I've noticed recently is that most of you are not subscribed to our YouTube channel. It's free, and it really helps us out a lot. So if you haven't subscribed, please subscribe, like, and share this content so we can continue to help elevate the consciousness of the planet. Thank you so much, and let's get back to the conversation. Well, since the since the guides have been coming in, let's just start asking the guides some questions, if you don't mind. I'm trying. All right, let's. Hey, look, we'll we'll see what they say. Why do so many people feel disconnected from themselves?

Paul Selig 31:20
Because they don't know who they are, they're claiming a shell. They're claiming a shell, an attitude, an opportunity to be an idea of someone that they were told they should be as. When you release the supposition of who you should be or must be in order to be worthy of being, you can actually begin to comprehend the individuation of the divine that has come as you in specific and wonderful ways, to understand that your inherent worth must not be something that is compensated, and understand that it is not something that must be bartered with. It is simply who you are. You can begin to claim your own knowing of who and what you have always been. Period.

Alex Ferrari 32:03
Why are so many people now questioning who they are? They're asking the deep questions when they were not before.

Paul Selig 32:10
Because nothing is working as they thought should, as they thought it should. It's a useful time. It's a useful time of interrogation. It's a useful time of questioning. Until you ask why do I do this? You may operate in shadow. You may never look in the mirror and see that you have been aligned to choices or beliefs that are not serving you. That you have been complicit in the very things you say you don't like. When you understand that you are not who you thought you are, the question "Who am I? becomes imperative, and the releasing of the masks that you have worn and danced around in in a masquerade begin to pile up on the floor. Right now, you're all stepping over the old ideas of who you have been as the new one begins to take form and become known by and as you. Period.

Alex Ferrari 32:59
Now, what happens to the identity when it begins to dissolve?

Paul Selig 32:59
It doesn't dissolve per se. The personality self may release an idea of self as you'd say a mask, but the integration of the personality into the higher awareness is part of the process. It is not exterminated. You are as you are, but you are no longer operating through the old ideas of separation that you have utilized in some ways to harm yourself or harm your ability to know who you are beyond a presumed identity period.

Alex Ferrari 33:32
Do do we have to go through suffering in order to awaken?

Paul Selig 33:38
It's part of the process. Birth is rarely graceful. The idea of going through a stage of life, your bones growing and aching in your body as they lengthen, is not pleasant. The challenge of becoming aware of who you have been or how you have denied your inherent divinity, how you have treated yourself or another, can be quite painful or frightening to foresee, but the relief that follows is extraordinary because you no longer have to replicate what you no longer know you don't need. You can release an idea and no longer manifest through that idea. You can release a belief in unworthiness and then be able to claim what has always been yours. So the challenge of moving through the old phases or the old ways of knowing self are indeed useful, and indeed this is a process. This is not a magic moment of arrival. You understand how a butterfly comes into being. It is a challenging process in some ways, there is a recreation of form that occurs. You also must understand that the under the undertaking of this is happening at a collective level. This is actually an exchange of vibrational agreement that is being made at the level of world, not just the. Individual and her personal trials, his personal desires. This is the entirety of humanity being lifted to a new level of tone. When the old begins to shake away, it is somewhat challenging period.

Alex Ferrari 35:15
What prevents people from directly experiencing the divine?

Paul Selig 35:19
Themselves, the belief in separation, which is the only real challenge that humanity faces, the belief that you are separate from the source of all things, you have claimed identity in an octave of agreement or vibrational accord, which we call the common field, which holds a belief in separation. When you begin to understand that separation is an idea that has simply accrued mass evidence. You can begin to move to another way of being. This occurs in the instruction that we offer, but it occurs in any way that one allows one to see themselves as in agreement to source. Now, to know yourself in agreement to source does not mean you require religious structure. It simply means you are willing to see beyond the old agenda of fear, to begin to realize that you cannot be the light and hold another in darkness. That the action of fear is to claim more fear, and that every choice one makes in fear grants you more of the same, would be to undertake an awareness of what can be so in a higher experience of being. Your understanding of the divine must become inclusive, not just the divine in and as you, but the divine as and in each one you pass on the street, and each thing you see must be understand as of source, not necessarily the highest evocation of source, but still there is one note sung in the entire universe that is in manifestation as all things. Underline the word all, inclusive of all, exclusive of none. To begin to see the divine in all things is to move to restoration. The truth of who you are already knows this. Align to the aspect of you that knows, and allow it to become your true teacher. Period.

Alex Ferrari 37:12
What part does AI have to do with our spiritual awakening?

Paul Selig 37:16
It's a manifestation of the desire to know. It's a desire to learn in other ways, and that is a useful metaphor. But finally, we suggest that the systems that you create will tend to replicate what you have known, but in finer ways, to begin to move to a level of vibrational tone where even the language that you utilize and have utilized thus far is understood in limited fashion would be to understand that the systems that you create through your sciences to benefit you may indeed be worthy, but they are not source. The moment you decide that a system is God, it can be of God, but it is not something that you can worship, nor should give your adherence to at that level. The moment you realize that the source of all things must be inclusive of all, inclusive of the machinery that you manufacture, but you do not bow down to it, you will understand that what is usefulness is always in service and nothing more. Period.

Alex Ferrari 38:20
Can we explain to people? Well, the question is: Are we truly separate from God, as religion has taught us?

Paul Selig 38:27
Never been. You never been. Never so. Never so. You operate in a dense field in a crude density. The physical forms that you have taken hold density. The alignment to an idea of heaven is, in some way, as a depiction of what occurs in a higher vibrational field, to shift your vibration while in body is actually the instruction we have been offering through the man before you for some time. The realization of the inherent divine as form in form of form can be understood as this instruction, if and when you realize that you are already in the source of all things as you cannot not be, you will begin to understand that the belief and agreement to separation has been folly that has simply accrued evidence. Now you understand that there is a ceiling in the room that you sit in, but you may also understand that something exists beyond the ceiling, because so many of you created an idea of God and a thing upon a cloud, perhaps that will damn you or bless you, depending upon your behavior or prayer to it. You must understand that the belief in separation and a God somewhere other has been codified by you institutionally. Much of these have been known in metaphor and apt metaphor. But you must also understand that as long as you deny the physical reality that you know as an expression of source, you will continue to place God elsewhere. When you understand, comprehend that the source of all things must be inclusive. Of you and the tree outside the window and the thing rotting in the field, you will begin to understand that there is one energy present in all manifestation that is actually in depiction or in vibrational accord at different levels of tone, from low to high. You live in an octave of vibration with low tones and high tones. Low notes may be seen as evil or fear. High notes love, compassion, joy, if you wish, but they exist within an octave. There are other octaves that coalesce with the one that you know yourself in that are present beyond but within this system as well, when you shift to the higher tone, you actually reclaim the physical reality that you know in this level of alignment. Then you are no longer serving the God of separation, which is of course fear. When you know who and what you are in truth, you can begin to claim this truth in your awareness of sources. Well, I am in God. I am of God. I am with God. That claim is always true. Just as you can know the ocean only by being in the ocean, otherwise the best you can have is an idea of the ocean. You must understand that when you realize you are already in the ocean of source, you can begin to express at that level period. Well, what does it mean to be a spark of the divine? The aspect of the divine come as you is already present in seeking its fulfillment, its alignment as with and through you, the reclamation of the body at the level of density that you have known yourself in to shift it to be able to serve as conduit in a higher field is what is actually occurring. The divine spark or the essence of the realized source of all things that already knows who it is and has never been afraid is actually the Christed self or the true self, or the monad, or the divine spark-call it whatever you like. Its activation and alignment is the resurrected divine come as all things. The claim that we instruct in "Behold, I make all things new" is the claim of the realization of what has always been true-the vibration of source in form, when you begin to understand that all things are of source or nothing can be, you actually have the key. This has not really been a secret; it has been something that you have all adopted too.

Paul Selig 42:35
The idea of separation is fact. The idea that the ceiling that in cases you cannot be moved beyond the idea that your abilities are limited to what you've ascribed authority to or belief in, we intend to shift you as we are allowed to teach. But the shift is actually occurring not only with this instruction but with the ability humanity now holds to claim this field as its own, and indeed, this is happening now. Period.

Alex Ferrari 43:05
Why do humans forget their true nature?

Paul Selig 43:08
In some ways, you elect to learn through the process of integration. You have free will, and you may utilize free will in this fashion. The idea that you must learn through banging your head against the wall is actually being challenged now. You are beginning to understand that if you continue to do this at a collective level, you may have a level of calamity that you may not recover from. You are beginning to understand that the choice to move beyond the old structures can be useful, and you are releasing the need to define the self through the old ways of being. The shift that is occurring at the level of consciousness at humanity's level as collective soul must be understood as the acquiescence to a requirement of the species. You have claimed separation. You have learned through separation. You have forgotten the essence of who you are at the level of personality structure and sought to confirm that separation in most ways. My pain, my suffering, my this, my that. When you begin, underline, begin to move to the collective idea of we. When you begin to move to the universal, we we are of the same source. You can begin to disband the idea of separation as a requirement, and remembrance is present. Period.

Alex Ferrari 44:33
How can someone reconnect to the divine consciousness?

Paul Selig 44:36
Ask. Ask. Ask. If you ask at the level of the heart, I wish to know myself in source. I wish to know the source of all things in some ways that is applicable and real. I wish to realize, know who and what I am in truth. You will claim this at a level of discourse. Course with the energetic field that supports this alignment, it is present and it is indeed available. Because you have free will, you must make this choice at the level of soul and at the level of personality to shift to a level of alignment where you can confirm this experientially. But unless you say it can be so, it will not be so. It can be so is the first step of manifestation. It can be so. It is possible. What is not possible will not be claimed by any of you. It is possible for me to know the source of all things in some fashion. It is possible for me to realize myself in a higher way than I have known. It is possible for me to be released from this pain and this belief in separation that I have indeed learned through, but perhaps may be done with. I am allowed to know more. It is permissible. It can be so. It will be so. It is so. Period.

Alex Ferrari 46:03
What truly changes in a person once they realize they are not separate from God?

Paul Selig 46:08
They stop hating themselves. They stop hating others. They stop demanding retribution. They stop claiming arrogance. They start caring for the ones beside them. They stop demanding God be the God that will serve their needs at the cost of the needs of others. They will begin to sing, and the song that they sing, the intonation of their vibrational field, will sing to others, and the great chorus will resume, as you all awaken to your true nature. Indeed, you have come. Indeed, you are ready. Indeed, it is time, and indeed, humanity is now saying yes. It can be so. It will be so, and this agreement-first unspoken, then barely a whisper, then a sound in a word spoken, and then a great thunderous cry of joy-can and will be heard in the energetic field, and it is this cry of affirmation and consent that shifts the old ways of being that demands that the walls of separation release and aligns all of you to your promise. You are of God. You are in God. You are with God. It has always been so. It will be so. It is so. Period. Period. Period.

Alex Ferrari 47:45
So why does the world feel so unstable right now?

Paul Selig 47:50
Because everything that you have trusted would support you is being transformed. Your idea of who you should be, how things should work, what a government is, what a religion should do, what safety means, what identity looks like. All of these things are being challenged, and when such things are challenged, some of you hold dearly to what you have known, as if you would hold on to the ballast of a sinking ship. When you understand that sometimes what you do is you ride the wave of change that you allow yourself to be lifted or carried to a new shore. You will not be so frightened of the transformation that is occurring. Indeed, the challenge is upon you. Indeed, it may well continue for some time. Indeed, the outcome of this is not assured in a way that would give you permission to say, "Well, I don't need to think about that any more. You are all being forced to see. You are all being forced to say, "I can be something other than I was. I can choose differently, and I can be of help. Imagine if the cry was, "How may I help? and not what can I get. Imagine the claim might be how can I be in support and not how can my needs be met in the way that I say that they should. When your understanding of what should save you, what has saved you-be it the career or the marriage or the idea of the diploma on your wall-has not, when you understand that these things have been useful, but they are not who you are, you begin to claim another potential. Perhaps something that you have not yet realized can be so. This is occurring now. It is useful, and the instability is for most of you a great catalyst for change. Period.

Alex Ferrari 49:43
What advice do you have for someone who is truly living in fear right now with everything that's happening in the world?

Paul Selig 49:50
So we would like to say this: You're agreeing to fear. Stop agreeing to fear. Stop shaking hands with it. Stop seeking. To confirm it, stop seeking to point the finger to cover the eyes in terror. Instead, say, "What am I to see beyond this idea of separation? What might I know that will support me in moving beyond this? And how can I claim myself in safety? We will say that safety must be understood as not a physical necessity as much as it is an awareness of the omnipresent divine. Now, this is not to say if it is raining you don't require an umbrella or some form of shelter, but it is to say that the aspect of you that is frightened is generally frightened of a potential of a potential outcome that you have outlined through the lens of fear. When you move to the aspect of self who says, "I am not afraid because the divine self cannot be, you cannot only find comfort in the true self or the divine or the principle of the divine that is present in you, but you can align to the resolution of the old and the higher claims that can be made available to you when you are not staring in the darkness. Only when you turn to the light, the light may lead you out of the dark period.

Alex Ferrari 51:19
Guides, what is the purpose of this reality for a soul?

Paul Selig 51:24
For us all, or for as a soul, or as a soul, which is

Alex Ferrari 51:27
For both, for individually and for as a consciousness.

Paul Selig 51:29
The purpose of this reality, a shared construct, is creation. You have all been participatory to the creation of the reality that you know. You continue to confirm it through the ideas of what should be, and through the relationships that you adhere to of what must be, because it has been, the opportunity for this plane to instruct you in high choice is present always. The opportunity for a soul to develop through its encounters and your understanding of what karma might be, we would say it is the opportunity to learn lessons in different ways is still present even as you move beyond the old idea of this reality. The benefit of being in a body is experiencing the world in a sensorial way, of having the experience of form, of knowing what it means to be in a body in conjunction with the demands of form-all of these things are useful. You must also understand that the common field that you are aligned to and are creating in is something that is always in motion. It is not static. It is always changing. Your ideas of these changed are generally bound in the linear idea of time and space, of progress and benefit. But in fact, what occurs at a level of vibration is other than that. There is an escalation that is occurring now, inclusive of the common field, where the tone of the field that you hold is being shaken, and this is being shaken as part of a process of aligning to something that is other or higher than it has been known before. The common field or the presence of the idea of reality as you know it is not to abandon it; it is to claim the inherent divine that has always been present in it, but has been denied, and this cannot be done if and as you divine to deny the divine within the self. Period.

Alex Ferrari 53:32
Is there one message that you want to give humanity right now?

Paul Selig 53:35
Allow yourselves to be known. Allow the divine to know you. Allow the call of the heart to be met. When you seek to know God, you are seeking to align yes, but you forget all forget that the source of all things knows you well, and to make this very simple claim: I am known, I am known, I am known, will allow you to begin to understand that you are present in a field in source, that you are not forgotten, that you have never been and never can be. It cannot be so. If you wish to invoke this very simple claim, "I am in God, "I am of God, "I am with God, you will feel supported in ways that may not only surprise you but serve to channel you into a higher way of experiencing yourself, those about you, and the world that you know. Period.

Alex Ferrari 54:50
Wow, Paul, I was. How are you feeling? A little wiped. Are you okay? I'm okay. So does that take you take it out of you at this point after all these years?

Paul Selig 55:01
I'm running a lot of energy. There's still a level of focus that's really required for me in order to serve profitably.

Paul Selig 55:10
Yeah, you know, I mean, I hold my body differently when. Yeah, you're not walking around. No, it's not even that. It's it's concentrate. It's it's a level of concentration. I think, it's not it's not a lazy experience. Channeling is an active experience of of presence for me.

Alex Ferrari 55:32
Yeah, the way you're approaching it is that you are concentrating on it, right? If if that's

Paul Selig 55:38
I'm not concentrating on what I'm doing, I'm in the experience of it, but in an active way.

Alex Ferrari 55:46
In which way?

Paul Selig 55:47
It's hard. Nobody's ever asked me this. It's really interesting if I can try to see what this means. I'm not listening as I would normally be listening to you. I'm not figuring out what I'm supposed to say or what the appropriate answer is, but there is almost a refined experience. If you can imagine, I'm going to give you a terrible example that I'm going to regret. But it's like when when when when the gas comes into the car and it's being filled, there is something happening that is actually a phenomena that is physical, and for me, this is still a physical phenomena. It's not floaty. It's extremely. They're extremely focused in their language, in their word choice, and my job has always been to be present for it. When I stumble sometimes is when I start to anticipate what they're going to say, which is my getting in the way. And then they've been known to move me out. They'll say, "Paul, go. In the very first book, they told me to go sit in the outhouse and read a magazine. Really, they really did. They didn't say outhouse, but they said, "There's a shed in the back. Please go there and let us teach.

Alex Ferrari 57:01
They do have a good sense of humor.

Paul Selig 57:02
Actually, once they once during a book dictation, they told me to walk around the block so they could continue. I mean, it's true, but they were just demanding to go forward, and I was not having it.

Alex Ferrari 57:12
So it seems like it's a it's kind of this middle ground between full concentration and completely letting go. It seems like there's a version of it between the two because, like you said, you're not. Oh my God, what are they going to say? Because that's coming.

Paul Selig 57:26
Can't happen. Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 57:28
But the machine that allows that to happen.

Paul Selig 57:30
Let me see if they want. I'm going to see if. Yeah. I'll see. We would like to address this because it's curious to us that he has the experience of concentration. In fact, what is occurring is that he is not concentrating. He is not thinking as he normally does. He is simply being in adherence to what we are speaking through him. Now, the focus that he must maintain while this is occurring is one of alignment. He is focusing on the alignment to the instruction that is occurring through him and utilizing him as the vehicle for our teaching. Understand the word vehicle. The car metaphor was somewhat apt. He is the vehicle for this expression. We are not the gas pumping into the automobile, but we are a current that is expressing not only as in through him, but with him. We hold his energetic field in fullness as we induct the vibration that we teach through, so that others may be served through this induction, and by induction we mean the sharing of this resonance, which is the information that we offer, but primarily the vibration which is available, which informs the instruction. This is a vibrational teaching. His idea of focus is he needs to think he is doing something productive in order for this to occur. What he must do is actually not listen to what is around him to pretend that he is simply being as he needs to be in order for this to occur. Because in fact, all that is occurring is we are utilizing his system, his field, his idea, his idea of what a word is to speak through him, and as we speak through him, we support him in vibration. The exhaustion he may feel at the end of this is the exhaustion that comes through the physical response that he holds of carrying the vibration as it is being spoken, that actually does require some stamina. When we speak for long periods of time, when we dictate an entire text through the man, his field moves through the process that we undertake with him, which simply means that the book is being encoded in his vibrational field as it is being dictated. So he must adapt in form, in physical reality, to what is actually occurring for the benefit of others. He serves as conduit not so much for his own idea of enlightenment or growth, but for the vehicle that he is to support those who may benefit long after he. Is no longer present. Thank you for the fine question. Period.

Alex Ferrari 1:00:05
I'm glad I could help, Paul. Now you know.

Paul Selig 1:00:08
Yeah, that was actually kind of surprising.

Alex Ferrari 1:00:10
That is interesting. So it sounds like it's almost like it's not an effort, but there is an effort to maintain the frequency or alignment to even basically. If now I'll give you an analogy, if there's a radio station, and in order to tune into the guides, you have to hold it at that station, and you actually physically are holding it there. If not, it can and get kind of turn off away. So it's like you have to hold. There's a an effort.

Paul Selig 1:00:36
So usually when I channel publicly, you know, I did this in in the series that we did. Yes, I work with earplugs in. I'm highly noise sensitive, and I've been known to channel in thunder storms with machinery going. With you know, there was once a drill jackhammer out the window when I was doing a book dictation, and I can work through it. And the guides are fine; they don't care. It's all about you. It's all about me and what throws me off and what throws me out of the moment. I'm so aware. I mean, the guy can be interrupted and the guides can pick up and they're not shaken at all. But I can be shaken. And I used to say, it's like in the old days when we had you know phonograph albums and you put the needle on the album, and occasionally somebody would bump against the stereo, and the the needle would skip. And that's what it would be like when I was interrupted. I was in the middle of a sentence, and the needle goes boom. And I don't know where I was, and I don't really know what I just said, and I somehow think it's my responsibility to remember, and I don't remember. And then I have to remember that I don't remember, and then they can go back and just continue. There were times when you were asking questions today, when I, as Paul was saying, I don't remember what they were, what what they're answering. I had no idea, and I was just hoping that they were going to complete whatever they were supposed to talk about because I couldn't help.

Alex Ferrari 1:01:59
Paul, I have to ask you: Have they ever let you down in a question like you? You because it sounds like you've mentioned this a few times since we've been working together about the fear of like, am I? Is something going to show up? Am I if I show up to an event and a ton of people are there?

Paul Selig 1:02:13
It's not that they're not. They're great about. No, I don't worry about them not showing up. They show up. They show up.

Alex Ferrari 1:02:18
Or even what they're saying. Do you worry about what they're saying or going to say?

Paul Selig 1:02:23
Not so much. I trust them at that level. I really do.

Alex Ferrari 1:02:27
Okay.

Paul Selig 1:02:28
The biggest challenge for me is when they're doing a book dictation.

Alex Ferrari 1:02:33
Interesting.

Paul Selig 1:02:33
Well, they've done so many of them now that it shouldn't be an issue. But it's it is, and every time it happens, I kind of don't believe that it happens, and because the rule has been from the very first book that I don't go to go back and change things. So when the books were coming out, people would occasionally write and they would say, "You need to tell your guides to be more gender inclusive in their vocabulary, or you need to say that they have to stop using the word Christ, it's upsetting many people, and I'm going. It's a channel text. I don't get to choose this stuff. Somebody once wrote the editor and said you have to take out all the male pronouns in all of Paul Selig's books. I was like, you know, I mean, but I understood people are coming from where they're coming from. Sure, but because of that, and because of the agreement not to change things, every time there's a book dictation, it really is like I'm at the edge of a diving board and I'm about to jump into the pool, and I have to trust that there is water there. And they usually won't tell me when they start a book until after the first or second lecture. They'll say this and the prior lecture are in the book, and then I know that a book is in the way because once they start a book, probably every lecture that they deliver for the next two months, and these are all done in front of audiences now, not alone. I'm going to have to live with in print, and you know, I somebody once said to me in a workshop not too long ago, that they put all of the guides books into AI and asked them where there were contradictions in the teaching, and there were none. And I thought that was kind of terrific.

Alex Ferrari 1:04:11
That's amazing.

Paul Selig 1:04:12
Well, they've been really consistent in their instruction, and I can misunderstand something, and I can I think at times mispronounce a word, and I'm sure there are times when I've gotten in the way. But I think when I've gotten in the way, they've learned how to correct me. There's one word. I think the word is response that they've used, and it appears in a number of books. Occasionally, when I would tangle the sentence as it was coming out of me, they would reform the sentence in the middle of the sentence and still make it work. And I think the word was respond or response that was in there. Some and as you respond, bum bum bum bum bum, and then they continue the thought and they get it right. So this is kind of the process. That I become accustomed to, but I I feel a level of responsibility to to my part of this. Yeah, I may never understand it. I don't think. I don't think that this makes me more spiritual. I struggle as I have in the past with certain concepts. It's not easy for me sometimes to forgive, it's not easy for me. Sometimes to see the light in a situation that I find terrible, but I I actually trust at this point that they know what they're talking about.

Alex Ferrari 1:05:32
Paul, I want to ask you this: You come from academia, so obviously you've read a lot of books and you think a lot about a lot of things intellectually. Have you, at this point, gone beyond the intellectual aspect of these teachings and started to actually feel them within your own life spiritually?

Paul Selig 1:05:54
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, I feel the energy of them. That's what I mean. Oh yeah, absolutely.

Alex Ferrari 1:05:58
It's not. It's not all here.

Paul Selig 1:06:00
It's not. This is no. It's not.

Alex Ferrari 1:06:02
Okay, because you could read these books and intellectually no no no not you but people could read the books and intellectually look at as a philosophy things like that could do that absolutely

Paul Selig 1:06:11
But they would be missing the point of the experience right so when I started doing a group in my apartment when I was 32 years old I was and I was channeling basically like coordinates for receiving energy. Receive this at your third eye. Receive this down the spine. Like that was it, you know. I wasn't. They weren't teaching through me at that point. That didn't come for many years. I was doing this because of the energy. Because I wanted to be in the energy that they brought through, which was palpable, and I was sharing it in a group, and we all could feel it in the same way, which confirmed the phenomena of the guides for me in a way that I needed to trust. Otherwise, it's just a lot of jabbering. And even when they started lecturing, I just wasn't that interested in what they were saying. I just knew that they were talking a lot more. I wanted the energy, so when they do their workshops and they do the attunements, and these are in the course that they just taught with you, the attunements are palpable physically for most people. I feel them when I'm in the room with people. There's 200 people doing these attunements in partners. They're sending the energy back and forth to each other in ways that they can feel, and there are still phenomena. People actually have the experience of watching their partner sort of disappear or becoming energy. You know, it's interesting because

Alex Ferrari 1:07:31
Things feel like

Paul Selig 1:07:32
Things shift because we're operating at a different level of vibration in a collective field. It's really interesting. So I'm very used to the phenomena attached to this, I've sometimes said that if you were the channel for this, I might have an easier time with the teaching because I could say, "Well, I like this guy, or "Well, this feels right, or "Well, I like this. I'm going to take this and leave the rest. But because it's coming through me, and who the heck am I? There is at times a challenge for me, and maybe that keeps it real, and maybe it keeps me from some sense of self-importance that I really can't claim in this experience of the guides. I am happy to be in service in the way that I am. I expect someday I will understand it more, and why I chose this. I understand how my life, in practical ways, supported this happening. You know, I had been a playwright when I was younger that was about hearing voices. I didn't know that I used to induce trance when I wrote, but I did put one piece of music on a loop for hours and just sit there and go zip zip zip. That was what I used to do, and then I learned to teach college, and I became good at that. And I learned to love through teaching. That's where I actually had my. That was my spiritual practice for years. Was the classroom was a good thing, and all of these things are now present in what I do, and at that level I feel equipped to show up, and I can pat myself on the back for showing up when I don't want to. But do I think more beyond that of this? I try not to.

Alex Ferrari 1:09:17
Beautiful. Now you spoke about the attunements and explained what they are, and in our course we did an attunement, and we'll talk about the course in a minute, the mastery course. Can you give the audience or the guides give them a small attunement to give them a taste of what that is? Is that

Paul Selig 1:09:33
Let me go back in. Let me see. We'd like to. We would like to, but not the one you wish to do. Well, that's interesting because I hadn't even thought of anything. I have to step back again. We would like to address the idea of the attunement first. When one is attuned, one is actually moving to a level of operation where the alignment that one holds can benefit through the invocation of the spoken idea that the attunement holds. Each attunement is encoded with vibration. When the spoken word is made, the divine self knows that this is so, supports the activation of the energetic system in order to fulfill the promise of the attunement. The attunement we wish to work with now is the attunement, yes, to the word. Now the word we call the energy of the creator in action. When one claims the word or the energy of the Creator in action, one is aligning to what we call the one-note song, the manifest divine that is present not only as what you are but as all things. When you speak these words, you are speaking again what is always true. You may say this after we speak, if you wish. I am Word through my body, Word I am Word. I am Word through my vibration. Word I am Word. I am Word through my knowing of myself as word, word I am word, and now you may say this: I know who I am in truth. I know what I am in truth. I know how I serve in truth. I am free. I am free. I am free. I am in the upper room. I have come. I have come. I have come. Period. That was a whole series. I'm just wondering if I should no. I just said, should I unpack these? And she said no. I just shook my head. No. I mean, you can ask, but I guess they're not going to unpack them.

Alex Ferrari 1:12:08
There's no need to.

Paul Selig 1:12:08
Okay.

Alex Ferrari 1:12:09
I agree with them. Okay. I agree with them. I think that that the energy will speak for itself. Now, I honestly, I don't think you did attunements before ever on the show, that I remember,

Paul Selig 1:12:23
I may not have.

Alex Ferrari 1:12:24
Yeah, I don't think you might have been doing it for a long time, but that's not something that's been brought up. And the only reason I kind of am more aware of it is because of the work we just did with the mastery course. Now you and I sat and worked together on a course called Awakening Divine Consciousness, which is connecting basically to the true self, the higher self, whatever you like to call it, and by doing that, it really does change your entire life and your entire frequency and vibration. Can you talk a little bit about what this course is, and really explain to them that this is first time the guides have ever done anything like this.

Paul Selig 1:13:03
You know, the guides' teaching is very much about the realization of the inherent divine in form, and that is the remembering and the realization of the manifestation of who and what we truly are beyond our ideas of who we are, which is the small self or the personality structure. It doesn't eradicate them, but it does actually realign us to a level of potential where our awareness of all things can be shifted, and the energetic alignment that we hold can be in support of others. And actually, they say a world being made new. I think they talked about the chorus stuff and becoming a chorus earlier, and that's very much what they talk about. So while the guides have been working with attunements, and every text that they've written pretty much holds an attunement and a level of understanding through a higher escalating vibrational scale, they've never actually broken them down in one sitting in separate classes, for lack of a better word, to allow the student to understand the attunement, its application, and unpack it. Yeah, which is basically explaining how it's operating and what its benefit is. So they're taking the students of this through their process of alignment to what they call the upper room, which is the next level of vibration above the common field. They say reality is this is our an octave, and there's another octave beyond this one, which is what we're being transposed to sing in.

Alex Ferrari 1:14:40
That's where we're all hopefully going.

Paul Selig 1:14:41
That's what I understand. We're all going. Yeah, they talk about transposition. They say any song can be sung in a higher octave. Yeah, and we're all songs. We're all in vibrational tone. So what the course does is it shifts the vibration of our being to operate in. The next octave up, it's transposition. It's the same song, but it's operating in a higher level. And what experiences when what what experiences at that level, I suspect, is very different than what one has been taught to know in the common field. It's an induction into a higher level of awareness.

Alex Ferrari 1:15:18
Yeah, it's a it's a beautiful course. Unlike any of the other mastery courses we've done. Each one of them is very special, but this one is a very different energy and and and nothing that we've done before in mastery. And I'm so privileged and gracious that grateful that the the guides and you agreed to do this with us. I was as we were going through it, you and I were both kind of figuring it out. As we went through it, we're trying to figure out what this is, and then the second we grabbed onto it, like, "Oh, okay. It's funny because it's a channeled horse. I mean, it's the the guides are are doing this to the point where like you just say hi, and they just they ram in and they just take off. So it's really great. And for people who are interested into a doorway and a free doorway into this course, we also did a masterclass for people. So anybody, if you're interested, go to the the link on the screen right now, or in the description before. If you're watching this elsewhere, you can get access to it on Next Level Soul TV and so on, but but if you want to go straight to it, we have it available as well. Paul, where can people find out more about you and the amazing work you and the guides are doing in the world?

Paul Selig 1:16:32
My website, which is just my name, it's paulselig.com.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:35
Simple as that. And the new book is out.

Paul Selig 1:16:37
Divine Union is out. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:16:39
Divine Union's out. And there's another one already written.

Paul Selig 1:16:41
Call the Upper Room. It should be out next winter. Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:44
Well, it's one a year, man. You just

Paul Selig 1:16:46
It's been that way.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:47
It's a machine. But do they have an end goal with these books?

Paul Selig 1:16:50
I don't know.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:51
Do they like? Hey, there's a 20 volume thing.

Paul Selig 1:16:53
I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know yet. You know, I'm going on tour, so I do a lot of live events, and the guides dictate books when they have opportunity to do a sequence of events. I don't know yet whether they're going to do another one starting next month, and I might not know until the night before they start. So we'll find out,

Alex Ferrari 1:17:11
Paul what I love about you is it sounds like you're just along for the ride, essentially in many ways. Yeah, I mean you're an active member of the ride,

Paul Selig 1:17:20
It's not a planned thing. I'll tell you that much. I don't. I don't have a five-year plan for this stuff.

Alex Ferrari 1:17:27
You. So do you? Yeah. That's a question. Where do you see this going for you? I don't. You don't. You just like what

Paul Selig 1:17:32
I think about.

Alex Ferrari 1:17:33
It'll drive you crazy.

Paul Selig 1:17:34
I'm happy to be invited to do the work I do. I'm just continue to show up. No, I'll continue to show up as I'm asked to, but I I'm not trying to conquer something here. I'm trying to show up as honestly as I can for the work that I'm being asked to do. That's it. That's it.

Alex Ferrari 1:17:54
Paul, why do you do this?

Paul Selig 1:17:57
Beast laying bricks. I'll say that.

Alex Ferrari 1:17:59
Fair enough.

Paul Selig 1:18:01
I I think because I'm fascinated by it still, still right. Because I don't understand it still, because they continue to develop their instruction. I mean, it's all of the same. They're very specific and focused in their teaching. They're not teaching about things that are not in their area of interest. Maybe one day they will. But I feel like this is what I've been given to do, and I'll tell you this, and this may be the reason. This is the one area of my life that's truly been surrendered, and because of that, it has worked well. Everything that this work has needed to show up for the world and for others has literally shown up. I haven't gone knocking on any doors. Even the first book was printed and then stuck in a suitcase. And I happened to meet an editor at a conference that I went to, who took it home and it was on the shelves in months. It wasn't even submitted, and it's been that way from the beginning, including the people who show up to help bring this work to the world. That's always been part of that, and I have to say that I trust. That I trust. I trust the people that I work with. I'm very fortunate, And I, I feel like at that level the guides have had my back, you know. And you know, I have my two little dogs. I live in the jungle on Maui. I have a little colony of feral cats at the at the at the base of the driveway, which I feed. And I'm I'm I'm I'm not asking for much more. I like the idea of peace. I'm not as aspirational as I was.

Alex Ferrari 1:19:46
Yeah, the the the the energy of the young man who wants to conquer.

Paul Selig 1:19:51
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:19:52
I I understand that.

Paul Selig 1:19:53
I do too.

Alex Ferrari 1:19:53
I understand it. But as you get older, you start to like you start to let go of the I need. Oh, hopefully. Many other there's a lot of billionaires around that still want to conquer, but that's another level. But generally speaking, people, men specifically men, tend to kind of let that go a little bit and and transition into hopefully into a higher level because the conquering is a very young man's energy.

Paul Selig 1:20:18
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:20:19
I need to I need to conquer. I need to control. I need to. But when you start getting older, you start getting more comfortable in your own skin. You don't need it as much.

Paul Selig 1:20:28
You don't. You know. I was interviewed at a conference that I went to by a 22-year-old podcaster.

Alex Ferrari 1:20:33
Oh my god, that must have been amazing.

Paul Selig 1:20:34
It was funny, and he said, "He said I'm here with the legend. I said, 'Oh, that means I'm old. That means I'm I'm on my way out, about to be put out to pasture.

Alex Ferrari 1:20:48
As soon as you start getting lifetime achievement awards, it's time to start wrapping up the situation.

Paul Selig 1:20:52
Pretty much,

Alex Ferrari 1:20:54
Paul it has been an honor, a privilege with the legendary Paul Selig on the show, not only being here, but all the work we've been able to do the last few days. It has been such a pleasure working with you at a much much deeper level, and I cannot wait for this course to really reach out to the world. Because when we called you and said, "Hey, would you be interested in doing something like this? You said yes, like right away. You're like, yeah, let's do it, and not really knowing what we were going to do. It was a really leap of faith in us. So I appreciate you so much for that, my friend, and I appreciate everything you're doing to awaken this planet. So I appreciate you.

Paul Selig 1:21:36
I appreciate you too. Thank you for everything.
