Trusting their purpose, because I think everyone gets a message.
Gary Temple Bodley 0:04
Humans on Earth are experiencing something quite unique: that the universe is designed to help us reach higher perspectives, and that there's a possibility now that we could even live greater than our imagination.
Alex Ferrari 0:25
Why would a soul go ask for that? And I'm asking that question specifically from people who might be in those situations. So, like, I didn't ask for this abuse. I didn't ask for this trauma. I didn't ask for this, and they're angry.
Gary Temple Bodley 0:39
What if it's possible that you actually could notice that an experience isn't necessarily good or bad, but...
Alex Ferrari 0:59
I like to welcome to show Gary Temple Bodley. How you doing, Gary?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:02
Fantastic! Thanks so much for having me, Alex.
Alex Ferrari 1:04
Thank you so much for coming down to Next Level Soul Studios, my friend. I appreciate it.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:08
This is great.
Alex Ferrari 1:09
Yeah. Yeah. How you like? Do you like Austin?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:11
Oh, Austin's Austin is awesome. Yeah. It was a lot of fun.
Alex Ferrari 1:15
Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:15
And we've had some unimaginable experiences already here.
Alex Ferrari 1:19
Right. It's gonna be fun, my friend. So we have your books here from the teachings of Joshua, and you are a channel, right? You so tell me about tell me about who Joshua is first, and then we'll go into your backstory.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:34
Joshua is a group of non physical teachers whose interest is the expansion of human consciousness,
Alex Ferrari 1:41
Fantastic, and and then so what was your life like before Joshua came into it?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:48
It was totally normal.
Alex Ferrari 1:50
Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:51
I had a business. I was married. Everything seemed set. Had no clue this was going to happen. I was in real estate, and in the crash, 2008, we lost everything. Had to start over, and in that period, we lost our house, moved to our friend's house, who were running it to us, and another friend brought us the secret. That was really my first introduction to any of this stuff at all.
Alex Ferrari 2:17
The book or the movie?
Gary Temple Bodley 2:18
The book. Okay. Yeah, actually, it was a CD.
Alex Ferrari 2:21
Yeah, yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 2:22
So we we didn't have a CD player, so we would drive around the car.
Alex Ferrari 2:24
What's a CD? So I'm too young. I don't. I I don't even understand.
Gary Temple Bodley 2:28
CD stands for compact disc. But maybe it was eight track.
Alex Ferrari 2:34
Yeah, I definitely don't know what eight track is, sir. I'm way too young for that.
Gary Temple Bodley 2:39
And so, like something sparked. So we listened to it many times, and then we're like, "What else can we listen to? And in our own library was asking is given by Esther Hicks, right?
Alex Ferrari 2:51
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 2:52
And we had listened to it before, but didn't get it. Suddenly, now this is the best thing ever: law of attraction, and you create your own reality, and get yourself into a vortex, and get my money back. That was my main inspiration, and so we listened to that, and then we went to our first workshop, which was in Asheville, and it was a two-day one, day and night for two days, and that really changed everything, and then I was an avid listener, and that was the only channel I ever heard of. But I was totally accepting of it. We met great people there, and so I was just listening to that all the time. And we ended up moving to Palm Beach, and we ended up buying another house and renovating that house. And so life was great. And you know, one thing when I lost my business, I had had this business since right out of college, and the feeling I had when it was all gone was like freedom.
Alex Ferrari 3:48
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 3:49
It was really weird, but so everything worked out great, and sooner or later got everything back and found passions and stuff. But then I had this inspiration in the summer of 2013 to meditate, and I had never wanted to meditate. I thought being alone with my thoughts would be
Alex Ferrari 4:08
It's terrifying.
Gary Temple Bodley 4:09
But it was so strong, so I'm meditating. The Abraham Hicks has meditations. We're listening to those, and really quickly, I felt a presence on the right side of my head, and as soon as I started meditating, it would come and it would move around my head, and as soon as I stopped meditating, it would go, and next day would come back, and so I was meditating every day, and I had this feeling it was a presence. I don't know why I had that feeling, and so I started asking it questions, and I would get back these answers so quick, so pure, so clean. But I thought I was making it up, right? And so I was just playing with this every day, and so goes on for months. And then on november 15, 2013, in meditation, I heard "Get up and go, write, write, write." Now before this, I asked, "Who is this? and they said, "We are Joshua, and so I didn't believe that either, right? So on this day, they said, "Get get up and go, write, write, write. So I went to my office, closed the door, and just started typing. And I typed for about 45 minutes, just straight like that, just thoughts coming to me, and it seemed like nonsense when I was doing it, but when I read it back, it was like really interesting. Turns out that's the introduction to that that book. There. Next day I went back, typed a little bit more. Now I had a busy life. I was doing all kinds of stuff, so I would just do a few minutes in the morning, 3045, minutes, three, three or four pages. In eight weeks. That book was done. I would come the next day, and I could have been in the middle of a paragraph, and just keep going from there. And the whole thing, 300 page book. So the whole thing came out in eight weeks. No, I just corrected typos, but didn't edit at all after that. And I had started sending out. We had friends from Abraham, so we were sending out the dailies, you know, and just so people send them to their friends, and it got pretty big. But when that book ended, I go, "Oh, well, what's going to happen now? The next day, the next book started, which is called Health, Wealth, and Love. There's four books altogether. Eight weeks, every day, 300 pages. That book was done. So in 16 weeks, I had two fully completed books, and had a whole philosophy going on. So I sent the books around, and
Alex Ferrari 6:36
But what? But what are you thinking about when you're seeing this?
Gary Temple Bodley 6:38
Well, I knew what channeling was? I thought, why not? And then during this time, I I started doing research. Are there other channels? There's millions of them, right? But this was 2013, so I found a few.
Alex Ferrari 6:50
Sure,
Gary Temple Bodley 6:51
And it just you know sort of snowballed, and one thing led to another. Started a podcast. Actually, was part of a network, and they had a law of attraction crews, and invited me to be a speaker with Pam Grouse. You know, and then in that, I met a hypnotist, and she hypnotized me. She goes, "I'm going to get Joshua to speak, because up to that, it was all writing. I never thought I would speak, and she hypnotized me, and I started speaking, and then we did a few more Zoom calls where she would get me going, and from there I was off and running, and so started Joshua Live that podcast, and that was about 2015 or so.
Alex Ferrari 7:33
Oh yeah, so you were early.
Gary Temple Bodley 7:34
Yeah, so we've had all those years 700 episodes or so, and do it every week in front of a group of people to come.
Alex Ferrari 7:43
That's awesome. Yeah. So when this was, so you never had a moment to, it kind of like universe kind of just gave you the breadcrumbs to get you to where it was to the point where it's not like you were just sitting on the beach one day on vacation. All of a sudden, a booming voice came down and like, I am Josh. That wasn't anything like that. It was a gradual way that made sense for you and your understanding of the world.
Gary Temple Bodley 8:06
Right. It was had to start with Abraham. That shifted my perspective because now I'm thinking, well, maybe I am the creator of my reality. Maybe things are happening for me and not to me. Maybe I can be, do, and have anything, you know. So it was a lot of, but you know, the early days it was all law of attraction, so I could be successful again.
Alex Ferrari 8:31
Yeah, it was all material,
Gary Temple Bodley 8:32
All material, right?
Alex Ferrari 8:33
Yeah, yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 8:34
But what's interesting is that the life I have now is unimaginable to the person who started this, just had no possible way of knowing how this was going to play out. And had I known, like if I could see like a vision of me 10 years in the future, I would like that's not. I'm not doing that.
Alex Ferrari 8:56
Oh, oh,
Gary Temple Bodley 8:56
And that just speaks to perspective because now I'm here. I've gone through that journey. I've made all those changes. My belief system's expanded. I met so many people. Life is incredible now.
Alex Ferrari 9:12
So I find fascinating. The Secret was one of those films. For it was a film. I watched the film. It was one of those films for me that kind of I was already I knew a lot of that stuff, but it was a it kind of solidified it for me. For me, I'm a visual learner, so I I saw it and it's things clicked. The movie is flawed, no question. There's a lot of things that you just don't go. I want a bike and a bike shows up. That's not the way that works. Right. But the core concepts, the ideas of shifting humanity's perception-it did a great job.
Gary Temple Bodley 9:46
Yeah. So
Alex Ferrari 9:47
That was everywhere. It was in Costco. It was everywhere.
Gary Temple Bodley 9:49
I know. It was amazing. It was like a cultural phenomenon. Yeah. That shifted everyone's perspective just enough
Alex Ferrari 9:57
To get the ball rolling.
Gary Temple Bodley 9:58
To get the ball rolling, right? Yeah. And so that. That's what it turns out to be. It's all about an expansion of your perspective of yourself in your own reality, and that expands through experience. Like those listeners who are listening to us now, this is a passive experience, but it may give insights and inspiration seeds might be planted. Seeds, right?
Alex Ferrari 10:24
Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 10:24
Like one thing that I see a lot happening is synchronicity. Numbers lining up. You see a cardinal, your mom, butterfly, butterfly, and that's like the first level of awareness of really there's something else going on here. But we are sort of in an illusion of separation, and so there's certain things that are going to happen in that illusion of separation. Fear, for one, and when I say fear, it's not like being afraid of something. It's more like the fear I had coming on this podcast.
Alex Ferrari 10:58
Did you have a fear?
Gary Temple Bodley 10:59
Well, sure.
Alex Ferrari 11:00
Really?
Gary Temple Bodley 11:00
You know,
Alex Ferrari 11:01
But I'm so nice. I'm gentle. I don't bite.
Gary Temple Bodley 11:06
But
Alex Ferrari 11:07
I get it. I understand.
Gary Temple Bodley 11:08
Yeah, I mean, who knows what could happen? Yeah, I could look ridiculous, but I had to push past the fear, right? And luckily for me, it was like, what are the odds? You know, when we reached out, what are the odds? So,
Alex Ferrari 11:23
But that's your logical mind rationalizing it.
Gary Temple Bodley 11:26
When you get inspired, no matter what, because the because the inspiration is going to take you to experience, right? And this experience that we're having right now, by the time it's done, I'll be a different person, and the fear that I had coming in will be gone,
Alex Ferrari 11:42
Right!
Gary Temple Bodley 11:42
Because I'll have the experience that now changes the belief that caused that fear in the first place.
Alex Ferrari 11:48
True.
Gary Temple Bodley 11:49
So really, it's about being able to push past the fear, have an experience, and the experience teaches. I mean, that's basic Abraham.
Alex Ferrari 11:57
It's really beautiful. Yeah, yeah, that's a beautiful way of doing it.
Gary Temple Bodley 11:59
And that's you know they made the second second secret, and they said the one thing that was missing from the first one was action.
Alex Ferrari 12:08
Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 12:08
Right. The law of attraction can't be really accommodated with that action, and the action is going. You know, acting on your inspiration. Joshua says there's two possible, you know, motivators for action. One is inspiration, and one is an urge to change or control a condition.
Alex Ferrari 12:27
Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 12:28
Right. And so this is like the most interesting thing because if you're in a low emotional state, if you're feeling bad, if someone ticked you off, you have an an urge which feels like inspiration to control that person, you know, don't talk to me like that or whatever. But those urges tend to separate because they're based in fear, right? They're based in fear and control,
Alex Ferrari 12:52
Right!
Gary Temple Bodley 12:52
And so when you act based in fear and control, you're trying to manage your reality. But what if everything is happening for you, and you could come to see it from that perspective, then you'll act on so many fewer urges. You'll have them, but you won't take you won't take the action. And so the opposite is true: is when you get inspiration, fear is going to pop up. But if you can push past that fear and take that action. You'll be moved into an experience that will change or expand your belief system.
Alex Ferrari 13:25
And that fear is where most people start.
Gary Temple Bodley 13:27
Fear, fear of rejection, fear of failure, fear of
Alex Ferrari 13:32
Success,
Gary Temple Bodley 13:33
Fear of success, fear of bothering somebody, fear of being judged, fear of ah, it's not the right time. I don't have enough money. All those little things, you know, not the lying in the living room kind of fear. It's the little stuff that we don't even think of as fear. A lot of people say, "I'm not inspired to do this thing. I'm totally inspired to do because they're afraid. Because there's some fear, right? So if you can, and the fear is generated by a limiting belief, so it's a belief that we just have. We're not even aware of them most of the time, but some belief is triggering that fear. So the work we do is identifying limiting beliefs, and then proving through our own experience of life that that belief is not true. For instance, you might have some experience where you feel like you're, you know, irresponsible, and so you think to yourself, "I'm irresponsible. And so, if you have an inspiration that you have to do, you know, that might be irresponsible. That belief is going to show itself in some kind of fear and limit you from acting on that inspiration. That's why it's a limiting belief. But if you can process that belief by saying, "No, there's many times in my life I've been very responsible, and that soften that belief over time, then. And when the inspiration comes, you'll be more likely to act.
Alex Ferrari 15:02
If I was going to do, because we were talking right before we came on about my fears of the show when I was when I was first starting out. So if I was working with you, and I would have said, "Hey, look, I'm terrified of doing this show and continuing to do this show because I'm afraid of my big fear was loss of my my livelihood, destroying what I had built in my other shows, in my other podcasts, in my other businesses, to talk to weirdos. Yeah, and I say that with all the love in the world. Listen, and I'm a weirdo as well.
Gary Temple Bodley 15:33
I'm a weirdo too.
Alex Ferrari 15:34
Please, please, with the comments. It's a joke, guys. It's a joke. Please, calm the hell down.
Gary Temple Bodley 15:40
Literally, literally, my biggest fear was being seen as a weirdo,
Alex Ferrari 15:44
Right! As as everybody, and that's a common thing in this in this area, because we all don't come from communes, you know, that we're raised with, you know, sage and hippie and you know, and and singing kumbaya. That's not where we all we come from. Normal world, like a normal world. When I say normal, like just what everybody else is doing, like businesses and things like that. This is still on the verge. Woo hoo! Oh, woo! There's no question. Yeah. So we're afraid of that stuff. But yeah. Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 16:12
And it's just Joshua. Joshua talks about this term. It's called a manifestation event, and in our community, it's funny because that's we call them Emmys, right?
Alex Ferrari 16:24
Trademark Emmys with an I E. Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 16:30
So a manifestation event is any experience where you feel any emotion. So you could have an experience where you feel positive emotion, and that's pointing to an empowering belief, and we can do work to strengthen those empowering beliefs.
Alex Ferrari 16:47
So, so let's break this down for a second. So, all right. So, if I, I'll take. I'm just using me as an example. So, if I would have come to you and I said, "Look, I have this podcast. I'm really afraid of losing it, losing everything else because I'm doing this, and it's not that I don't believe in the work, but I'm just afraid of what what will happen to my livelihood. We would have to if I wouldn't have gone past that, just so people understand. If I wouldn't have gone past that fear and stopped doing Next Level Soul, none of this exists, and my other business would have because of the film industry crashing the way it's crashing. That business wouldn't have been sustainable, so if I wouldn't have gone through the fear of this, I would have. I don't know where I would be at now. I mean, literally, I I don't know what I would have had to. I might have to go back to post production. I might have to go back to editing for clients. I I just wouldn't know what to do because the world that I built, like you did, the world that you'd build from from the beginning is gone. So that's what I was terrified for. But then I just said, "I'm just gonna screw it. I'm just gonna do it, and I jumped.
Gary Temple Bodley 17:51
So that means that you had enough empowering beliefs
Alex Ferrari 17:55
To to push
Gary Temple Bodley 17:56
To push you through it, right? And so your empowering beliefs were stronger than your limiting beliefs. But think about that that hiatus, right? There might have been a specific experience where you felt negative emotion, like disappointment, or
Alex Ferrari 18:11
Yeah, I wasn't getting the numbers I wanted, and I'm like, and I'm like, look, if this thing is exploding, I'll go with it. But this thing is not. It's it's enough. It's kind of like, eh, it wasn't. It was nowhere near my other show.
Gary Temple Bodley 18:21
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 18:22
I mean my other shows. It was nowhere near it. So I'm like, why am I taking this risk? Then the mind. Why am I taking this risk? Why am I risking everything I've built? And this was, by the way, there was nothing on the table that said doing one show would negate the other. It was my own belief. Sure. It was my own belief. No one said if you keep doing this, you're gonna lose all of it. Like no one said that. That was all internal dialog doing that. And then so when I finally just said, you know what, I have enough belief in God, but it was scary. I took that leap and it was terrifying. But I was like, you know what, I'm just gonna go.
Gary Temple Bodley 18:58
Well, the world thanks you.
Alex Ferrari 19:01
I appreciate that, and it taught me about. And now, in this, the way you say is like on the other side of the fear. So if I'm afraid of skydiving, and I and I and I and I get into it, and I and I'm like, oh my god, oh my god, oh god, oh wow, this is fun. Yeah. Oh wow. Oh, this is. Let's do it again. It's kind of like you see that, like with kids, like I'm afraid, I'm afraid, I'm afraid. And the second they break through that fear. They're like, "Let's do it again.
Gary Temple Bodley 19:22
And they're proud of themselves.
Alex Ferrari 19:23
And they're proud. And so there's a thing. So when I broke through and just said, "I'm gonna do it, and just do it, I'm all up. And then it, but it still took a minute before a rocket ship. And sometimes, and I know this from experience, it doesn't always rocket ship. It might be a slow burn because you, when you walk back into our studio, you said, "Oh, so this is why you were in the film industry for 25 years. And I'm like, "That's a slow burn. Yeah, you can't see it. No, you couldn't. Like, why was I being tortured in the film industry for 25 years?
Gary Temple Bodley 19:59
So you'd had this
Alex Ferrari 20:01
And the experience and the knowledge and all that stuff to do it,
Gary Temple Bodley 20:05
But the confidence that you could do it
Alex Ferrari 20:07
Exactly. But man, you don't see that when it's going on, so it's fascinating. So once I was able to break through that, then now my new belief system. So now my belief system is like, oh, I'll do another show. Oh yeah, do this. I'll do. I'm fearless when it comes to this stuff because now it's been proven to me by experience.
Gary Temple Bodley 20:24
Right now you've gotten to this perspective of yourself where you can talk to anyone, you can produce anything, you don't have to have the numbers, right? Because everything is going to be what it's going to be. Can you imagine where you'll be in five years, right? You can only imagine it from what you've seen, maybe other people do, or what's possible from this perspective now, which is limited compared to five years. If you couldn't predict where you are now five years ago, right?
Alex Ferrari 20:59
Oh, oh!
Gary Temple Bodley 21:00
Can't even fathom, and that's why we call it unimaginable. So I think that the universe is designed to help us reach higher perspectives, and that there's a possibility now that we could even live greater than our imagination,
Alex Ferrari 21:22
Right! Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 21:23
And how do you do that? And that is a shifting of beliefs, a raising of your perspective, and a reduction of self-imposed limitations, limiting beliefs. So that's work. And now, so that was the initial work that we were doing, and then now we're we six months ago we have a freedom project. So it's this very intense thing, a lot of work. But what we're seeing now is we're changing people's relationship to reality itself. Reality is something far more responsive, Playful, interactive, and designed to move us to expand us beyond anything we could imagine.
Alex Ferrari 22:11
It's interesting because, you know, that's why you see these. I I I was always drawn to studying visionaries in my industry and outside my industry, I'm fascinated with Tesla and and you know Walt Disney and Jobs and then Da Vinci and like these kind of these kind of figures in history that are are completely bucking the system. Christ, that completely buck the system. But it's fascinating to see some someone like Walt Disney, which is a contemporary like you know, I wasn't alive when he was alive, but close enough. When he had the idea for a theme park, that is so insane at the time, that was crazy, and he had no one, no one anywhere that did anything like it. So he was out on a limb, but it takes a special kind of insanity to do what they like, Steve Jobs and and Nicholas Tesla and all of them. They did things that nobody, everyone else around them said, no, no, no, no, you're crazy. Don't do that. That's insane. But yet the insanity works somehow. That's why I'm fascinated with those people who are they're fearless. I'm sure there was fear. I'm sure there was doubt when Walt was buying property in in in Southern California and buildings this thing, and and then the opening day nothing worked, and everyone was you know wet paint and all this kind of stories. But he, but then now look what he created, you know.
Gary Temple Bodley 23:39
Well, I don't know anything, so I'll preface that. As I evolved this along, I had moved to North Carolina because I wanted to buy a house for retreats, and I found this house that was Victorian mansion built in 1900.
Alex Ferrari 23:58
Beautiful,
Gary Temple Bodley 23:58
Lots of rooms, and I thought I want to live in this house, right? So I moved up there, and I didn't know what to do. I couldn't do real estate there, and I thought maybe I'll rent rooms here. I don't know that a bed and breakfast maybe, and so I it was a house hadn't been lived in for 11 years, and I'm passionate about renovating houses. I've renovated hundreds of houses in my career, and so this one I had I bought it for 112,000. Haven't been lived in, but bones were fantastic.
Alex Ferrari 24:34
Square footage just had a because I love this
Gary Temple Bodley 24:36
5600 square feet.
Alex Ferrari 24:37
Shut the cheese. Yeah, 112.
Gary Temple Bodley 24:39
Like three quarters of an acre on Main Street.
Alex Ferrari 24:43
What year is this?
Gary Temple Bodley 24:45
I just sold it two years ago. Yeah.
Alex Ferrari 24:47
But when did you buy it?
Gary Temple Bodley 24:48
In 2017.
Alex Ferrari 24:51
Jesus, that's cheap. So it must have
Gary Temple Bodley 24:53
2017, right? That's cheap.
Alex Ferrari 24:55
Even in I mean, North Carolina.
Gary Temple Bodley 24:56
Crazy. I was looking for a $600,000 house all over the South. And then this one just popped up,
Alex Ferrari 25:01
But it had to be some work. You must have put some work.
Gary Temple Bodley 25:03
Yeah, but they all did. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. But actually, I I had put a contract on sight unseen, then toured with my friend all these different houses along the south and got to this house last. It had this beautiful foyer with a fireplace and a staircase going up to the second floor. So I walked up the staircase, checked out the bedrooms and bathrooms up there. Walked down the back. I mean, the house never had AC, right?
Alex Ferrari 25:26
Of course not.
Gary Temple Bodley 25:27
And walked down the back stairs, and I saw the back kitchen and family room, and these three floor-to-ceiling windows. And I had this was a recurring dream I had for 15 years of this house, it was exactly as it was in my dream. So I knew it was the right place. So end up, it was just a fun story. But I ended up renovating it, and I was down to my last $10,000. And then we had a plumbing clog, and realized that house was on Main Street, City halls, a block down, block over, had never been hooked up to city sewer.
Alex Ferrari 26:06
So it was on a it was on a septic.
Gary Temple Bodley 26:09
It actually was a pipe that went way in the back of the yard into nothing.
Alex Ferrari 26:14
Oh Jesus!
Gary Temple Bodley 26:16
Going way back there.
Alex Ferrari 26:18
Some that's some that's some plague stuff. I mean, jeez, the sanitary.
Gary Temple Bodley 26:22
So, so I spent my last $10,000 hooking that up, and just then I had this inspiration to do a course. Up to that point, I was a student of Josh, which is like anyone else. I didn't have anything to do. Once in a while, I would do a one-on-one stuff like that. But my other businesses or other interests took care of money, but now I had nothing. But I had this inspiration to do this course, and so it was called the boot camp. So anyway, I offered the boot camp. Tons of people took it, and one of them was Christy, who you met. So Christy took that boot camp eight times in a row, and what it does is every time you take it, it shifts your perspective. You take it until you don't see anything new. Every time you take it, it seems like a new thing. Like if you were to read that book and highlight, if you read it again, there would be all these things. How come I didn't highlight that? Because your perspective changes. You see stuff you didn't.
Alex Ferrari 27:15
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 27:16
So anyway, she finishes it. She's at my house for Thanksgiving. There's a bunch of friends there, and she gets someone tapping her on the shoulder, and it's she says, "Does anyone know Maria? Is anyone Maria? Someone Maria? And that was our friend Isabel's grandmother, and she was in the apron and she was making cookies just like she did, and she could tell Isabel everything, right? And so suddenly, Christy's this medium, and then things happen. But we go so many things I can tell you, just unimaginable. But anyway, we're together. We ended up both of our relationships. We got together, and we're in a hotel in Orlando, and we're sitting in the bed, and we're talking about why is it that comedians and rock stars, so many of them, die young? Just a normal conversation. We go out on the balcony, and suddenly someone's playing with Chrissy's hair, and we get.
Alex Ferrari 28:20
By the way, by the way, let's just-I gotta stop. It's terrifying. That's terrifying that you're just sitting on vacation somewhere in a hotel and like,
Gary Temple Bodley 28:28
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 28:28
And someone's just touching you and like, oh, who's that? Maria? Is it Maria here? Like, that's for you. I understand, but just for everyone, I just need to let everybody. That's not normal. Just throwing that out there. Okay, go ahead.
Gary Temple Bodley 28:40
So we got Red Arrow camp. We got all these things. We got Chippendales, and it was Chris Farley. And we had a half hour conversation with Chris Farley. 15 minutes go by, and Tom Petty comes in,
Alex Ferrari 29:01
And they're explaining to you why?
Gary Temple Bodley 29:03
They're well. They came because we were just we're talking about rock stars and comedians dying young, and so I'm asking them all these spiritual questions, you know. And it's just like like I asked Tom Petty, like does a rock star have like a more powerful soul energy, and that's how expressed. And he said, "No, it was just my pre-birth intentions. The best way for that me to live those intentions was this life that I had. So it was just. And actually, we're listening to a boombox speaker that we have with our playlist on Spotify, and here comes my girl starts playing on it.
Alex Ferrari 29:41
Of course, it does. Why wouldn't it, sir?
Gary Temple Bodley 29:43
So anyway, we've had so from time to time, we Chrissy would get something, and someone would come in, and Walt Disney came in on my birthday, and I asked Walt Disney all these things about this, and he said he had. This knowing inside of him that this was his path was, and it was really an enlightenment path, you know, to bring joy to the world.
Gary Temple Bodley 30:11
And he said the trickiest thing was the the first Mickey Mouse. Yeah, Steve Will William. Yeah, he had to sell his car.
Alex Ferrari 30:22
Oh no, it's insane!
Gary Temple Bodley 30:23
You know all that stuff.
Alex Ferrari 30:25
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 30:25
And his life was just persevering with his what he knew was right, and he would have all the day stayers and everything like anyone else would all day. But he was able to keep so focused on what what he knew, his vision, and he said he wasn't any more special than anyone. It was just that for some reason he trusted his vision. He didn't know why, and he didn't really know his soul's personal when he was alive. But seeing it now afterwards, you know, and so I think that his future was calling him your future to have this was always calling you, and my future was calling me. You know, and so there's a bit of knowing that we have somewhere in the back of our heads for what's calling you. Yeah.
Alex Ferrari 31:15
So that's that's that's pretty insane. By the way, when this all started, what did your family think?
Gary Temple Bodley 31:21
Well, it's interesting. It's almost like you have to come out to them.
Alex Ferrari 31:26
Absolutely,
Gary Temple Bodley 31:27
You know. Yeah, and it's weird, but
Alex Ferrari 31:29
Hi my name is Gary. I'm a channel.
Gary Temple Bodley 31:32
I showed up to my brother and sister in law's house with four books, and I said, "Oh, by the way, I wrote these four books, you know,
Alex Ferrari 31:40
And they're like, what?
Gary Temple Bodley 31:41
And they were, you know, pretty religious back then. And you know, this isn't what they're used to, and especially me, of all people, right? And
Alex Ferrari 31:52
Yeah, when I think spiritual teacher channeler, this is not the image.
Gary Temple Bodley 31:56
I was so non woo woo,
Alex Ferrari 31:58
Right! That's my point, and I think that's why you know I'm also I don't present myself as a woo woo guy. I'm very grounded guy, even though I I have all these experiences and so on. But I always like to ground everything. I just like to ground it. I don't like to live up in the sky totally. I like to ground it. So I think that's why people like listening to me talk sometimes because of that perspective. Because I'm like, look, this is insane, and we should say that because it's it is a little, but then it isn't at the same time.
Gary Temple Bodley 32:27
It's it's like coming from one thing, one perspective to another perspective to this shift, you know.
Alex Ferrari 32:33
Right, right. So so so what happened with your when in the books?
Gary Temple Bodley 32:37
So I didn't really talk too much as you go, and my sister comes running out as I was leaving, going, "Aren't you going to sign these for us? So it was always well received.
Alex Ferrari 32:47
Really, so everyone, your family, friends, everyone just kind of accepted it.
Gary Temple Bodley 32:49
My biggest fear was posting about. I had this inspiration to post about Joshua on my on my personal Facebook page. Right, I had a Joshua page. No one sees that, and so okay, that's inspiration. I have to push past fear to do this, and I remember making my finger go, you know, trying to hit that send button or post button, and fearing the worst. But those who were meant to read it read it, and there was cool. And those who weren't meant to read it. Couldn't even see it. You know, it was impossible. No,
Alex Ferrari 33:23
That's that's
Gary Temple Bodley 33:24
And that's why I've experienced as this goes on.
Alex Ferrari 33:27
So, did were you a religious growing up?
Gary Temple Bodley 33:29
No, not at all.
Alex Ferrari 33:30
Oh, so you had no no no religious background generally?
Gary Temple Bodley 33:33
No.
Alex Ferrari 33:34
Were you? What was your belief system prior than this then?
Gary Temple Bodley 33:37
I was born in South Africa.
Alex Ferrari 33:39
Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 33:39
And we moved when I was two to Canada, okay, and then grew up in San Diego and went back to South Africa for a year, then Michigan, and back to San Diego, then Boca Raton, Florida.
Alex Ferrari 33:50
We everyone ends up in Boca Raton. Yeah, that's another thing. At some age, everyone goes to Boca. It's just the law.
Gary Temple Bodley 33:56
My dad would because he's immigrant. Would you know for a a while, would take us to church because that he felt that's the best way to.
Alex Ferrari 34:06
Oh, so you did go and did. So they did go to church,
Gary Temple Bodley 34:08
But I never resonated with it. I was like,
Alex Ferrari 34:11
You just you just had to go.
Gary Temple Bodley 34:12
I had to,
Alex Ferrari 34:13
And it was a Catholic church.
Gary Temple Bodley 34:14
It was just a Christian
Alex Ferrari 34:15
A presbytery. Got it. Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 34:17
And so I thought this doesn't make sense to me, I didn't really get into it too much, but we did go to this Christian camp once.
Alex Ferrari 34:26
Oh yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 34:26
With a family, and everyone's very you know.
Alex Ferrari 34:30
What would you? What would Jesus do?
Gary Temple Bodley 34:33
Right, right. So as we're leaving on the last day, a dump truck, a garbage truck had glasses brakes and wrapped our car around a tree. Our parked car,
Alex Ferrari 34:45
Parked.
Gary Temple Bodley 34:46
Yeah. Good. So here we are, standing by our car, and there's this row of people leaving, and not one person stopped to say, "Do you need anything? Are you okay? And that's when my dad's like. This doesn't make sense, you know. And so I'm sure that experience was to set up something else, you know. It wasn't indicative they couldn't have pulled over because we had to have that experience. But that's sort of when it just there's something else going on here, you know. And at the time, I'm just like, I don't know what it is, but
Alex Ferrari 35:20
So let me ask you: Why do you believe that people have such a difficult time finding their purpose or trusting their purpose? Because I think everyone gets a message, but we have to cut through all that programming and all of those belief systems and all of that. You know, I've done it, you've done it. We all have to kind of do it, you know. Unless you're when you're younger, though, unless I mean it's case by case. But when you're younger, like when I was I was working at a video store. I'm that old, and I didn't know what I was going to do with my. I literally had no idea what I was going to do with my life. And about six months after I graduated high school, I looked around my room, and I said, "I got 3000 VHSs in here. I think I'm going to be a director, and I didn't even give it a thought. It was just like, "Oh yeah, just go do that, because you're so young. The belief systems of what you can and cannot do were were not. And when I said that, this was 92-93, It wasn't a cool thing to become a filmmaker back then. Now everybody's a filmmaker. Everybody knows about how to make movies. At that time, that was like they were on a mountaintop somewhere. You know, George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, Coppola.
Gary Temple Bodley 36:33
Well, you were lucky because movies were your passion.
Alex Ferrari 36:37
They became my passion.
Gary Temple Bodley 36:39
You had 3000 VHS's
Alex Ferrari 36:41
Plus. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh no, no, and I worked in a video store for five years, right? Yeah, yeah. And I watched television, and I watched television. That one, I'm Gen X, so I watched television. That was my babysitter in many ways growing up. So yeah, of course, I loved media, I loved that kind of stuff, but I never connected it until then. Yeah, but I just, but I just went now. Like you think about it now, like I'm going to be a filmmaker. I'm like, you, you insane.
Gary Temple Bodley 37:07
But for you, as we talked about before, you being a filmmaker really wasn't for making films, although you did and did. It was for this,
Alex Ferrari 37:17
Obviously,
Gary Temple Bodley 37:18
Right? Yeah. And So, really, curiosity is the thing. What are you interested in, and what will you allow yourself to do? Because there's an identity around certain things. I'm a passionate tournament poker player, and there's a belief system around gambling.
Alex Ferrari 37:38
Oh yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 37:39
In if you don't really understand tournament poker, it's more of a strategy, more of a chess game.
Alex Ferrari 37:45
Yeah, it's not. It's not. It's not luck. There's luck. There's there's there is a luck, but there's a strategy and an understanding and all of that.
Gary Temple Bodley 37:51
Yeah, there's it's nuanced. It's not really like I don't do blackjack or slots, even though the tournaments are in casinos. But there's a there's a you know stigma, and there's a stigma around a lot of things, and so you might be interested in something, but what your friends think, what your family think, and so that's really the factor. You know, you don't really know if you're allowed to pursue something. What will people think? And so, I like channeling. I kept it totally secret.
Alex Ferrari 38:26
Yeah, you're afraid of being ousted from the tribe and being left out in the wilderness.
Gary Temple Bodley 38:29
I had a whole group of friends. Sure, you know. But luckily, being in Abraham, we met a lot of people that way too. So there was a certain group I could who were thrilled by it, you know. I got lucky in how it all unfolded, but I think it's if you can just follow curiosity and then allow yourself to dig a little deeper. You don't have to tell anyone right away, but it's never the stigma that you think it's going to be. But another way to do it is to really realize that there's this perspective shift that needs to happen. So everyone who's listening to this has already acted on inspiration because they found this podcast, and every episode they listen to raises their perspective of what's possible because all the different voices you know that you bring out here. That's the first step. So, so everyone's curious in this, and if you can allow yourself to move a little deeper in it, life can unfold in a way that's unimaginable.
Alex Ferrari 39:35
So, if we, so basically, what you're saying is that if we can break through the fear and conditioning that we've been through on anything in life, that's leads you to the experience, which then will negate whatever fears. Because nine out of 10 times, the fear that you have are unfounded. Right. You know,
Gary Temple Bodley 39:54
We just don't question our fears.
Alex Ferrari 39:56
Generally, and again, this is not life-threatening fears. Like you know,
Gary Temple Bodley 39:59
Actually, we just don't. Question our beliefs. That's the thing. We tend to believe that what we believe is true because we've had manifestation events come, and if you're if you're unaware of the process, the universe is organizing. This is going to sound really woo woo, but the universe is organizing these experiences.
Alex Ferrari 40:19
Yes,
Gary Temple Bodley 40:19
Simply to expose a belief that you have. Now, if you're unaware of it, it seems as if that experience confirms the belief. But if you really unpack the belief, any belief really that's limiting, you can find evidence in your life that's not true. Once you start this process, it takes a while, but once you start this process, every time you feel negative emotion, there is an underlying belief that's causing that negative emotion. And if you can get to that belief and prove in your life that it's not true, it's doesn't get rid of it because law of attraction. Once you have something, it's with you, but it softens it enough that you can now hear inspiration, and then the fear isn't so strong. So now you can take the action on the inspiration because your inner self, Joshua calls it inner self, inner being, higher self, is leading you to the most elegant and joyful unfolding of your pre-birth intentions to expand, not to get what you think you want, but to expand your consciousness. That's that's what's going on, I think.
Alex Ferrari 41:31
So I think the those core ideas or beliefs are just pillars of a foundation that you've created in your life because we're all just trying to figure this damn thing out-a thing called life. It's insane.
Gary Temple Bodley 41:42
I think a lot of beliefs come from generational stuff.
Alex Ferrari 41:47
That too,
Gary Temple Bodley 41:47
You know.
Alex Ferrari 41:48
Well, whatever, whatever our caretakers, our parents, yeah, and our community has thrown upon us,
Gary Temple Bodley 41:53
And not because they've taught you this, but because it's in in the DNA of that family line.
Alex Ferrari 41:59
There's that too.
Gary Temple Bodley 42:01
A lot of people might have if a lot of women have this that they they have to sacrifice their freedom for the family. Yeah, and that's not necessary today, but it was 100 years ago, or 50 years ago even. You know, so those beliefs now can be healed; those generational things, and I think that most of our beliefs really come from that.
Alex Ferrari 42:28
But we do choose the lineage that we incarnate through for those lessons. It's like it's like it's kind of like you're picking a train that's already on a track, and it's your job to like oh that oh that one's gonna be a hell of a ride. I'm gonna jump on that. I'm gonna see what I can do to help them get that track shift to another place. Yeah. So we can't stop generational trauma, generational ideas and foundations and things like that. Because if you're born into like a militant Bible thumping, you know, Catholic environment, and then you come into it, and you're like, but I like woo woo,
Gary Temple Bodley 43:05
Right!
Alex Ferrari 43:06
Now you've you've got a hell of a challenge to break free from that's a hell of a experience for a soul,
Gary Temple Bodley 43:12
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 43:12
To break free from that and to hopefully help them, but they might not be ready, and they might not want to, and you might have to go on your own path,
Gary Temple Bodley 43:21
Yes, and many people do, and some don't, you know. But look at yours, you know. This is the antithesis of how you were raised
Alex Ferrari 43:31
To the most, yes, for the most, yeah, with the Catholic upbringing, absolutely. But there was in because I'm Latino, I'm Cuban, psychics, mediums. That was oh, it's in our blood,
Gary Temple Bodley 43:46
Right!
Alex Ferrari 43:46
So it's Latin America. That's just part of our culture. So it's not like oh yeah, I'm gonna go to my aunt's house because I need a reading. That that that was a thing. It wasn't like seance stuff, and it wasn't all in, but it was spoken. So I was kind of familiar with it. So by the time Connie showed up, my teacher, yeah, and started talking about channeling, I'm like, yeah, sure.
Gary Temple Bodley 44:07
But see, that's also the perfect setup, right? Because you had to have a little of both. You have for me, for me, yeah, for you, and everyone is. If you think about it, that the law of attraction doesn't make mistakes, and so so you're in the right, you know, family, the right time and date of your birth, country, the right location, the right body. Your body is perfect for your journey. I intended to be the tallest channel with no eyebrows.
Alex Ferrari 44:37
I've met a lot of them. You are the tallest so far. I have not met a taller channel than you, sir.
Gary Temple Bodley 44:46
By far the best channel over six three. Living in Clearwater.
Alex Ferrari 44:54
Exactly, exactly. So yeah, so that was and that's and that's it's very interesting and I love. You said that, like you pick the body, that's perfect for your journey. And a lot of people have so many issues with their body because of conditioning, because of community, because of society. But as you get older, I mean, at least I have in my experience, I'm starting to truly love my body, which has not been the case throughout my life,
Gary Temple Bodley 45:21
Sure,
Alex Ferrari 45:21
We all gone through that. I think I won't. And guys, don't talk about it as much as women do, because I've been surrounded by women my entire life. So I, I hear. Yeah. But I feel that even guys, I was raised. I mean, you're probably we're probably the same vintage, similar vintage.
Gary Temple Bodley 45:39
63 as I was born.
Alex Ferrari 45:40
Stop it! You look fantastic, sir.
Gary Temple Bodley 45:43
A lot of makeup.
Alex Ferrari 45:44
A lot of. It's all filters. I see. Like you walk around with an Instagram filter. It's very nice. Well, you're a bit, a little bit ahead of me, but I think we we we we walked over the same corpses on the battlefield, if you will. But I was raised with He-Man and you know the the '80s ultra masculine men that were ripped and Arnold and Sly, so that was the mentality that I had. Then, like, if I don't look like that, I guess I'm not. You know, which is not the case.
Gary Temple Bodley 46:11
Were you emotionally sensitive?
Alex Ferrari 46:12
Yes. See, I've been I've been surrounded by women my entire life. Of course, I was emotionally sensitive.
Gary Temple Bodley 46:20
That we were we were born emotionally sensitive.
Alex Ferrari 46:23
Yeah, no, there's no question.
Gary Temple Bodley 46:24
And this and who's listen? If you're listening to us now, you're probably emotionally sensitive. If you're watching the show, you couldn't find this. You had to say because this is a feeling reality.
Alex Ferrari 46:33
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 46:34
All we're doing is feeling something. That's all that's happening. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And if you're emotionally sensitive, you're going to have a lot of feeling, and you're going to look for something to soothe or solve those feelings. To you know, the way I'm living now, if I'm going through negative emotion and feels this intense, I want to find something that either helps me feel better, which is really what's happening, because we can live this life even though we're emotionally sensitive, feeling good. But but emotional sensitivity is a superpower. If you think about your physical senses, you can see, taste, touch, feel, smell. But there's other senses. You can see energy. You can maybe if I'm channeling, I got
Alex Ferrari 47:22
Yeah you could the clairs.
Gary Temple Bodley 47:23
I got some clairs going on, and those you know physical senses are so in our face, so strong, and so to develop the clairs, we have to really make that emotional side even stronger. Now we can't do it on purpose. It will eventually happen that way, but it's not something to hide, and it's actually a superpower. We say all the time. So, the the emotional sensitivity that's coursing through everyone is listening now is really what helped us get here. We're able to push past beliefs so that we could find something that would help, you know, soothe those feelings.
Alex Ferrari 48:06
Very good. Yeah. So, can we bring Joshua in?
Gary Temple Bodley 48:09
Absolutely.
Alex Ferrari 48:10
So, what's your process for channeling so people understand?
Gary Temple Bodley 48:13
I just take a few minutes. I'm a few seconds to set my intentions. I imagine a gold thread, I bring them in. I bring in the inner cells of anyone who will be listening to this. So this is going to be a big group.
Alex Ferrari 48:30
Everyone's everyone's showing up.
Gary Temple Bodley 48:32
Yeah, and then they'll start by saying, "We're thrilled to be here. It's like a common thing they say, and then they may talk for a few minutes,
Alex Ferrari 48:39
And then ask questions,
Gary Temple Bodley 48:40
And then you can ask questions.
Alex Ferrari 48:41
All right, let's let's let's bring in Joshua.
Gary Temple Bodley 48:43
All right, here we go. We are thrilled to be here. We are delighted by your space. We are delighted by what you've created. We are delighted by your energy and your presence, and we'd like to play with you a little bit,
Alex Ferrari 49:01
Please,
Gary Temple Bodley 49:02
To help you see yourself from the way we see you from a higher perspective. You are not just Alex, who's successful and has a show and gets to talk to all these people. You are the foundation of a movement that could not happen without you. A foundation that allows people permission to think differently about how physical reality works, who they might be, what's possible in their lives, what they're allowed to talk about, how they're allowed to express themselves. This is all from you. This is a mass shift in consciousness that you're responsible for, and we understand that you're humble and and don't want to take the credit that you deserve. But it could not be done without you. No one else on Earth could do what you do. This is key for you to understand. You might say, "Well, if you didn't do this, someone else would do this, and we say it's impossible. You're the only one who could. This is your mission. This is your purpose, and it'll expand from here. And as it expands, your perspective expands, and as your perspective of yourself in your reality expands, when you start to see yourself for who you truly are, when you start to realize that no one else could have done this, and that you were meant to, destined to, it was always going to be this, and this shift is encouraging others to start their podcast and ask questions and allow their gifts to develop and one day dream like Gary did of being on the show. It is quite more unimaginable than you realize, and we say this because you can experience all of this in absolute joy. It is unfolding with you, not based on the work that you do, not based in the decisions you make or the choices you make, but the vibration that was within you from the beginning. This vibration was a vibration of a shift in conscious awareness, and the ease in which you allow yourself to have fun and play and realize nothing serious is going on. This will just become more joyful and more fun and bigger and less effort and struggle and control, and it will turn into things as you and Gary were talking about that you could not possibly imagine. And so we say, possibly there's no reason to imagine it, no reason to think about tomorrow or the next week or the next year or the numbers or any of this. But practice, like you are now, being absolutely present in the moment. You're present with your guests. You're present in many areas of your life, and presence is your power. Your energy is presence. It's stabilizing. Your voice, your tone, all of these factors lead to what can only be created by you: this permission to question, to be curious, and to think in terms of what's possible. And with that, we'd like to talk to you about anything you'd like to talk about where'd you'd like to start?
Alex Ferrari 52:21
Well, I appreciate that very much. Can you let's talk about fear for a second? What is fear truly teaching us on our journey?
Gary Temple Bodley 52:30
Well, it depends on your perspective, where you're looking at it. Fear, the what we call rational fear, is your survival mechanism. It's designed to keep you on the planet. If you didn't have this, you would not be here now. You'd have the inspiration to jump off the bridge just for fun, and that would be it. And so we have a distinction between rational fear, which could lead to physical harm, and irrational fear, which could not lead to any physical harm. Irrational fear is just a mechanism in place that comes at the edge of expansion. And so, when you're inspired to do something, and you say, "I would never do that thing, or "I can't do that thing, or "That's not acceptable, or I don't have time or money. That's the fear that we're talking about. If you can push past that fear, well, you'll move into your next stage of expansion. You'll have an experience, and that will shift your perspective. If you're not ready to, then that's fine. That's where you are, and you will play around in that level of perspective for a while, and you'll get more inspiration. And yes or no to that, and it'll always come. There's no end to inspiration. You're always being guided to the most elegant life for you, the most elegant unfolding of your pre-birth intentions, which you will experience some experience in suffering, some experience in joy. There's a range, but for the human, what you would like to do is experience this life in joy, and to do that requires looking at your belief systems, looking at your mental construct, looking at how you view your world. Well, you view your world based in all of your beliefs and the intensity of those beliefs, and they form a lens by how you see your own reality. If you shift that belief system, make limiting beliefs less limiting, empowering beliefs more empowering. Now you see your world differently. Now you see yourself differently, which is called your perspective. Your perspective of yourself in your reality, in your case, your perspective of yourself as a podcast host is among the highest in the world, and so you're very comfortable in this situation. Your perspective of yourself as a skydiver might be different. And so you might be uncomfortable in that situation. If you have the experience of skydiving, you will shift your perspective, given that you lived through it. If you don't live through it, no problem. You'll try again next life. And so, as you have experiences, these will shift your expect your perspective, and that perspective translates into a vibration. That vibration is emitted from you, and your reality forms around that with new opportunities to expand. That's basically how the system works.
Alex Ferrari 55:32
What does our soul know that our mind keeps forgetting?
Gary Temple Bodley 55:35
Your soul knows everything. There's nothing off limits. What your soul knows is that you arrived at the perfect place at the perfect time to the perfect family and the perfect body, to to have a human experience where what you intended to expand will be expanded no matter what in this experience. Your soul also knows that you intended to live this life in joy, very important, and so your soul, you, is giving you breadcrumbs the whole trip to come to a more higher perspective of yourself, so that you will live this life in joy. Now the soul realizes that no matter how you live your life, this will be perfect because your pre-birth intentions will be expanded or will be lived, no matter what. Now, for the human, you want to experience those pre-birth pre-birth intentions in joy. Soul doesn't really care because it's a snap of a finger. You'll see this perfect no matter what when you return. Yet, Alex wants to live in joy. Alex doesn't know how to live in joy, and so you, Alex, and the non-physical is guiding you to experiences that will shift your perspective so that you can live in the highest joy possible.
Alex Ferrari 57:03
Why is the human race right now, as a collective, going through such a chaotic time that it seems to get it begin it seems to be upping every year that goes by?
Gary Temple Bodley 57:18
If you were living in 1939, would you probably ask the same question?
Alex Ferrari 57:24
Yeah, or 1970s. Yeah, 60s 80s,
Gary Temple Bodley 57:27
1990s, 2000s, 2000s, 2020s. It always seems like a chaotic time to the generation living that time because it is the most expanded that the Earth has ever been, that consciousness has ever been, that possibility has ever been. You see, the Earth expands its vibration, consciousness expands its vibration. What's possible expands, and in that expansion, souls come to experience that which could not be experienced in any other reality, and so they choose to come here. I want to experience what it's like to live in a modern era where most of the world is at peace, yet we are in a conflict. That is a new possibility that was not available before.
Alex Ferrari 58:17
Right,
Gary Temple Bodley 58:18
And so if you think about all the different possibilities that were not available 100 years ago. Then, do you want an experience with more possibilities, a buffet with more items on it that you can choose and leave out the ones you don't? Now, you say you're born in some country that's in conflict, and why am I in this conflict? Well, we are projecting as Americans, you would say, as Americans, you are projecting your belief system, your mental construct, what you came to experience, onto those poor souls who are experiencing something you would not prefer.
Alex Ferrari 59:04
Right.
Gary Temple Bodley 59:04
Yet you can't see what their pre-birth intentions are. You can't see what they're actually experiencing. They may be experiencing something in a way that has never been experienced before, and that's what they came to experience.
Alex Ferrari 59:18
Can you explain to people? Because this is a question I get asked all the time. Why does bad things happen to good people? Kind of thing, where like you know, children dying young or having a disease, or the pain and suffering of-I'll use children as an example-pain and suffering of children, or abusive relationships, or abusive families, or abusive communities, or religions. That you know, you know, back in the day, there was hangings for you know, and lynchings, and all of these kind of burning witches at the stake and that kind of stuff. Why would a soul go ask for that? And I'm asking that question specifically from people who might be in those situations. So, like, I didn't ask for this abuse. I didn't ask for this trauma. Didn't ask for this, and they're angry. What would you say to them?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:00:03
We would say that to understand love, you must understand fear. To understand freedom, you must understand limitation. To have an intention to have an experience where you are placed what seemingly seems like a coincidence, randomness into a situation you wouldn't choose. You might want to understand that this could be your path to higher perspectives, it could be your way to inspire others. It could be that after the situation, you write a book or come on this podcast and talk about your experience. It could be you're in a situation; it seems hopeless. You're inspired to listen to this episode, and something shifts your perspective. You were always given inspiration that will move you to where you truly want to be. Yet, if you didn't have the experience of struggle earlier in life, you may not appreciate what comes later in life, and you'll see this over and over again, where people went through certain experiences that they would not have chosen, and come out on the other side, understanding something that they could not have understood before. Gary and Christy have a podcast called "An Unimaginable Life, and Chrissy brings in two famous people from history. One of them was Viktor Frankl. Viktor Frankl had the intention to experience freedom, and when he was in a concentration camp, he realized that no matter what the captivity was, no matter what the captors did, there was a part of them that was always free, that they could never touch. And from that, he went on to write 39 books and revolutionize modern psychiatry and all kinds of different things. Could not have happened with them. Now he wouldn't have ever chosen that, he would have chosen a nice, simple, normal life, free from conflict, but that wasn't for him his path. And now he may have fought with that memory his whole life, but when he returned to the non-physical, it was aha, this was perfect.
Alex Ferrari 1:02:41
What do you see for humanity in the coming decade?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:02:45
Expansion, expansion of what's possible, expansion of more consciousness, expansion of the love, the well-being, the health, the peace, the joy, the possibility, the permission-it's all expanded.
Alex Ferrari 1:03:10
What gives you the greatest hope for humanity's future?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:03:12
We don't need hope. Hope, we would say, comes from a perspective where it's out of your control. That certain things have to line up. Yet we see the evolution of consciousness, the evolution of vibration, the conversations opening up all over the planet. We know that everything is unfolding as it should at the proper timing, and that everyone has the ability to receive and act on inspiration, to look at their belief system, to see things from another perspective. If we would say to those listening now, "What if it was possible that you actually are the creator of your reality? What if it's possible that you actually could notice that an experience isn't necessarily good or bad, but coming at the right time for you to show you something? What if it's possible that the meaning that you make out of every experience has two versions? One from a perspective where you think things are happening for you, one from a perspective where you think things are happening to you. Which one is more empowering? What if it was possible to choose the more empowering perspective? And what if it's possible that when you did that, you would hear and and receive more guidance, more love, more communication from your own inner self. If you realize that you are you in the non-physical, guiding you, loving you, knowing exactly what you intended, and realizing that there is a way to live an unimaginable life-a life beyond anything you can imagine. And as you start thinking in a terms of what if this is happening for me, just that statement alone, just the possibility that maybe this is coming to show me something, that quite frankly will change your trajectory.
Alex Ferrari 1:05:19
Can you talk a little bit about the? Because right now, right now we're going. Like I was saying earlier, it feels like it's very chaotic, more than it's ever been. But if you do look throughout history, it's been chaos, but it's been wars. It's been much worse. But yet, there's a perspective change here because we are so connected now with social media and technology that we're seeing things that humanity really shouldn't have access to in many ways. I shouldn't see a battle happening 5000 miles away. It doesn't affect my life per se. So, can you explain to people the power of media and the diet of media images, media films, movies, shows, news-what that does to the journey within themselves, their perspective of life.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:06:09
Many humans watch the news not to know what's going on, but to be aware of certain things in the attempt to create certainty or protect themselves. There is no certainty. Certainty is not part of the equation of physical reality. You wouldn't want certainty. You are here as adventurers, explorers, mavericks. You are here to discover. If life was certain, there'd be no discovery.
Alex Ferrari 1:06:38
Be boring.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:06:39
It would be boring for you, and you wouldn't choose to incarnate on this planet. You didn't really. Most humans did not choose a comfortable life. Comfort is limiting. Comfort is stifling. You choose chose to come here to discover who you are, whose source is, what love is, what connection is, what's true, under the illusion of separation. So imagine that, imagine the soul that would dare to come to. We would say, the place with the highest illusion of separation, the most intense illusion of separation. That illusion of separation creates the most intense fear. It creates the most limitation, not in the environment itself, but in a belief structure and an identity. So you come in, you have these beliefs, you create this identity, you have a sense of right and wrong, good and bad, duality, and yet that's not the truth of this reality. The truth is love, connection, expansion, feeling, experience, discovery. That's the truth. And so, isn't it fun to forget who you are and have a perception that all out there is separate, and then come to a realization that maybe you're a little bit more than you thought you were, and maybe you're not as separate as you once thought, and maybe there's a connection, and maybe watching the news inspires you on your life path. Maybe not watching the news will allow you time to hear your own thoughts. Maybe you will shift your perspective in a number of ways, but there is no right and there is no wrong and there is no thing that's overwhelming, such as media. You could turn off the TV, you can read a book, you can choose your podcast, you can focus on what brings you joy, or you can focus on the drama if that's what you choose. It's all available. It's all a playground. There is no right or wrong way to do it. You will have the expansion in this life. But if you want to expand in joy, which was your pre-birth intention, then just think about what you're thinking about. Think about what's coming up in your reality, think about how you can play with that reality. This is a responsive reality that wants to play, and you can play in fear and have an experience that can't be had anywhere else. Or you can play in joy and have an experience that can't. But it will all take a bit of courage either way. So follow what's interesting to you. What's what you find fascinating?
Alex Ferrari 1:09:23
I was thinking the other day, actually, that I was watching a game or something, and I was like, "Wow, there's there's literally endless amounts of experiences on this planet, endless,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:09:32
Endless,
Alex Ferrari 1:09:33
Endless combinations. It's it's unfathomable. With that same mathematical idea, this universe seems to be much larger than we ever even conceived. I do believe that there are many other experiences to have. From your understanding, can you explain about some of these other experiences? I don't need to get into specifics, but other reality-not only other. Let's say this reality, other planets, other realms in this reality, and then also discuss the parallel lives and parallel realities that mirror our own in this experience. So there's, there's a, and correct me if I'm wrong. There might be a reality where you're sitting in my chair and I'm sitting in your chair, and you are doing my work, and I am doing your work, just to experience Alex doing all of that. Is that a thing, or am I wrong?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:10:30
We will talk about the difference between the Earth reality and other realities.
Alex Ferrari 1:10:36
Sure,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:10:38
Humans on Earth are experiencing something quite unique, an illusion of separation, so intense that to even contemplate mass consciousness, connection, oneness, is a theory at best. Yet in all other, as far as we know, civilizations throughout the universe-it's all a collective consciousness, and they know it. There is no real forgetting. There is no real illusion of separation. It's minor, and the greatest fear in many civilizations could be mild concern.
Alex Ferrari 1:11:16
Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:11:17
But there's no great leap in perspective. There's no possibility to shift an individual perspective when you are so sure that you're collective consciousness and you feel one. It's a group shift over time. On Earth reality, you can have a massive shift in perspective, and that just brings energy to the entire universe. You can come up with a concept that's impossible to come up with on another civilization. This is mass consciousness, such as compassion. Compassion on Earth is this thing that's unique to Earth, and it's because you're able to put yourself in someone else's shoes through your imagination, whereas if you're a collective consciousness, you're already in someone else's shoes. There is no possibility for consciousness. You also get something like humor. If you're a mass consciousness and you're completely aware of everyone else's thoughts telepathically, there's no real humor. There's no real adventure. There's no real danger. There's no real way of going out on your own. There's no real way of individual discovery. There's no way you could bring in a unique invention because you have a unique perspective that allows you to be the path of least resistance to that book, that art piece, that invention, that philosophy, whatever it is, and so these little spikes of perspective shifting on place-it is a wonderful place to be. You also have the rest of the universe fascinated by how humans are navigating their reality.
Alex Ferrari 1:12:58
Okay, so then that's that question. So, how about the concept of parallel realities, the multiverse, that kind of idea, which has been talked about in scriptures and Vedic texts and ancient ancient texts, but it's also being spoken about in quantum physics and things like that. So, what's your perspective on that?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:13:16
Where you are now is a point in time. Everything you've experienced up to this point is your lived experience. Up to this point, there were infinite possibilities for where you would be at this time, but your lived experience is what you live. So that so up to this point, that's the only thing that matters. From here, there's infinite possibilities for where you will go. Infinite timelines, infinite ways to get to the next level, next area. And so, you when you transition non-physical, you will have one lived experience. Now, you can visit any of the possibilities, but that's sort of like playing a game. Not really important. Not really interesting. As you return to the non-physical, you'll see every moment on your life journey as perfect, as perfect. You might look at a disagreement you had, and it was a heated argument with a group of people, and you will see this argument from all their perspectives. Yet you will not blame yourself. You do not blame them. You will not think anything's wrong or bad. You'll see how oh they had that perspective. I didn't understand that then or this one. But you won't feel bad if they felt negative emotion. You'll realize that that was their manifestation of it. They could only have felt bad from that perspective. You didn't do anything wrong or feel like you made a mess of their life or their day, that's a human idea. For the non-physical, there's no fear, there's no illusion, there's no your access to all of it. And so, while it's possible that humanity could go on this timeline or that timeline or that timeline. It'll go generally as a collective, but you, on your own timeline, have a million different possibilities, and it'll always be based in your perspective. So, if you have a perspective of yourself as the most influential podcaster in the area of spirituality, then you'll be flooded with inspiration, and some of these ideas will be exciting to you, and you can't wait to start them. And then some might be a little scary to you, and you might have to think about it. But whatever you do choose will be the perfect one based on the perspective that you have at the time, and it will always work out perfectly. Now we're not saying you might get into a situation where little trouble arises, a little controversy here and there, a little disagreement, but that's all part of your path as well. You see, there is no wrong way to do this life. There is only the life that you are living from the perspective that you have, and that perspective that you have is the highest perspective you will ever have up to this point in time. As you have new experiences, that perspective will shift. As you think about yourself in new ways, and if I'm feeling so in love with this part of my life, why do I feel a little resistance to that part of my life? Well, that part of your life, you have just a little bit lower perspective. If you shift that perspective, then that part of your life will feel just as good as this part.
Alex Ferrari 1:16:28
So there isn't actual realities; they're just possibilities that we can investigate on the other side,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:16:35
And they're unique to you.
Alex Ferrari 1:16:37
And exactly. So if I was like, "Oh, I went, I was in many forks of the road. I went left, but I could also see what happens if I went right and see how that turns out.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:16:46
Sure,
Alex Ferrari 1:16:47
I've heard that before.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:16:48
Sure, and you will experience that from the non-physical without any fear, and so you won't think that was a better way or worse way. There'll be no regrets whatsoever.
Alex Ferrari 1:16:57
But it's just fun.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:16:58
It might be fun, but you'll have a lot more fun things to do, a lot more things that'll be interesting to you on the non-physical. You'll be interested in what the lives of the new generation is.
Alex Ferrari 1:17:09
Can you explain to me the concept that there is no past life, there is no future life, that all lives are happening at the same time?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:17:15
Yeah, it would be impossible
Alex Ferrari 1:17:17
Explain it.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:17:18
You would have a lot of time.
Alex Ferrari 1:17:19
Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:17:21
Do you see the pun there? It would take a lot of time to explain the present moment.
Alex Ferrari 1:17:26
Very nice.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:17:27
Everything is always happening, always at the same time. Yet you live in a linear landscape. You go from point A to point B to point C. You had to arrive here. You had to turn in that street, turn in that street, and there was a certain illusion of time that took you to get here, and this moment is the now moment, and then last moment was the next now moment. So, from your human perspective, you can't really understand that it's not any point. What we will say is your focus in this moment, your presence in this moment. This is your point of power. This is everyone's point of power. You're not distracted by something in the past. You're not thinking about something in the future. You're present in this moment. In this, you're creating, generating a field of energy that's stabilizing, that people feel when they're around you, that the audience can hear in your voice, That is leading those to question their reality as well. You give them in your presence, in your focus, in your awareness and attention. You give them an insight of your true power and the power that they possess as well. If they can get into something like this, where they're so fascinated, so interested, so enjoying what they do that they don't want to do anything else,
Alex Ferrari 1:18:54
Can you explain to me what happens to the soul when it dies?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:18:57
The soul returns to non-physical. The soul never dies. The human returns to non-physical. The soul is eternal. You are eternal. You will return to your inner self and to all of the lives that that inner self has ever lived. You will all be as one. You will feel one with every other consciousness. You will know the oneness. You will understand clearly why you chose to come here. You will want to come again. You will be fascinated with the lives of the people that you're that you loved when you were here, and that those who have similar interests that resonate with the vibration that you have. You will have a distinct personality as Alex that can come forth to guide anyone. You will be aware of whatever is interesting to you in the non-physical, mostly Earth. You are Earth-focused, and you are fascinated with the consciousness and the expansion of consciousness on this planet. So you will do it all at the same time, and. Feel at one and feel, but you will have no fear, no illusion of separation. You will remember everything. You in this life, you don't learn things; you remember things. You reach higher densities, and the veils thinner, and you start to remember. That's what the Clairs are doing.
Alex Ferrari 1:20:20
Can you just discuss with us and explain to us who the ascended masters are and how they're helping us in this journey?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:20:26
We would say you are an ascended master.
Alex Ferrari 1:20:29
Explain.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:20:30
You have come with a specific purpose. That purpose is like any ascended master to help the evolution, sustain the evolution, promote the evolution of consciousness in this planet, human consciousness, to move from a state of fear into a state of love. You have more reach than any ascended master truly in history. You are more contemporary. You have more connection. Your your language is cleaner and clearer to those who are listening to you than say an ascended master who must have been translated or recorded from those who were filtering what they had said. You are present at this time. You are engaged and participating at this time, there is no. You have greater reach than all of them had in the present moment, and so your vibration is also significantly higher than anyone who lived 100 years ago or before. You see, your vibration was matching the Earth vibration on the day you were born. The Earth vibration is ascending and ascending. The thing is expanding and expanding, and those who are born more recently are born with even higher vibrations. And so those ascended masters from history they were there for their time, and they were used as guideposts along the way for future generations, but no one surpasses those who are here now because you are at a similar vibration to other humans who are living now, and they hear you in a different way.
Alex Ferrari 1:22:15
Who's they? That's the master. Your audience. Oh, the audience. Okay. So then the but the ascended masters, from my understanding, I I don't disagree with anything you're saying. The ascended masters, to my understanding, are also many of those ascended masters. Instead of because they they seem and correct me if wrong, they seem to figure it out. They got to the top level of the game, and they choose to hang around to help humanity raise. So are they? Because they seem to be coming up much more than they did 200 years ago. I don't even think the concept of an ascended master was up. I think only in the 1800s, late 1800s, it started to come up. So it seems like they're becoming people are becoming more aware of them, aware of their teachings, and they seem to be working with people to help raise consciousness, you know I've had experiences with them as well. So, what's your take on that?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:23:08
We would say that that is all true,
Alex Ferrari 1:23:10
Okay,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:23:11
But we would not say that they were any more or less than you.
Alex Ferrari 1:23:15
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:23:16
That they are
Alex Ferrari 1:23:17
Makes sense
Gary Temple Bodley 1:23:18
Equal. Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 1:23:18
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:23:19
That their soul isn't any bigger than yours. That people who are gravitating towards this information, that information, the ascended masters, are hearing something new because the vibration is different now. Are allowing in more. They don't have conflicting ideologies that they have to deal with. They're more open. They don't have to hide. They don't need permission. You don't aren't locking this information away like you might have done in the past. There's many different ways to hear it, but what they hear is unique to the individual. It is not a blanket philosophy for the masses, it is uniquely experienced by each one who participates with those teachings, those readings. Yet, it was all written for a different time in a different place, a different level of consciousness. We would say that that is a good jumping-off point. But where humans want to be today is with their contemporaries, who are bringing in contemporary information
Alex Ferrari 1:24:28
Under through their lens.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:24:30
The first words that we ever wrote through Gary are this: "Everything is right. There's no wrong anywhere in the universe. Anything that's seen as wrong comes from a limited perspective, but from a higher perspective, whether that's after a bit of time has gone by or from the non-physical perspective, everything is always always right. That is the basis of physical reality, non-physical reality. There is no wrong. Wrong is an illusion caused by the illusion of separation. It's duality. If you can understand that, those ascended masters came at the right time, at the right place, for the right people, and those who are listening and paying attention today, those people are getting what they need from those things. Yet, you're at the right place at the right time. Gary's at the right place at the right time. The conversation this day is the right time for this conversation. This conversation could not have happened previously, and this is a conversation about perspective. This is a perspective shift, a massive perspective shift that will spark new inspiration, new ideas, new pathways for you and your listeners. The availability of contemporary teachings and information are far more than all of the teachings of the ascended masters put together that are available right now, and because everyone has access to the internet, to video, to podcast, to books, there's no lock and key. No one can tell you what you can and cannot read or watch or listen to. It's up to you to decide. The individual listening to this to decide how would I like to live my life in fear or love. If I want to live in love, why am I conflicted? Why am I having negative emotion. Why am I limited? Why aren't things working out for me? These are the great questions to ask. And if you realize that there is a structure in place called the belief system that keeps you focused on reality in one specific way, that if you expand that belief system, suddenly your experience of reality expands, and when that expands, you will see more possibilities. And when you are able to allow yourself more possibilities, then you are one step closer to the unimaginable life that you came to live.
Alex Ferrari 1:27:19
Beautifully said, Joshua. It's been a pleasure talking to you and having you on the show. Your energy is beautiful. Your message is beautiful. Do you have any final thoughts for the audience before you leave?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:27:30
Well, we would like the audience to entertain individually those listening. Could you possibly be the creator of your reality, we say yes, you are. But if you could entertain that one thought-that you came here on purpose to have an experience-that what you think you always wanted is only what you could imagine. But what if there was something more available to you, as you started to question the beliefs you've always believed were true. What if none of those beliefs are actually true? That opens the door, and you now have the key.
Alex Ferrari 1:28:16
Thank you, Joshua, for being here.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:18
We are complete.
Alex Ferrari 1:28:21
Are you out?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:22
Yeah, no, I'm fine.
Alex Ferrari 1:28:23
That's it.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:24
I could answer a phone, talk to the phone, and then go right back to channeling. I'm not a transchannel It's just like thoughts are coming to me. You know,
Alex Ferrari 1:28:32
That was beautiful, man. That was great. Do you remember all of it? Yeah.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:36
Uh huh.
Alex Ferrari 1:28:36
So you remember everything?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:37
Yep. Pretty much. Yeah.
Alex Ferrari 1:28:38
That's an interesting channeling technique. I haven't had this kind of channel before.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:28:43
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 1:28:43
It's it's it's a unique perspective because it's I could feel the shift of energy in the room. Yeah, because I become sensitive to this stuff now, and but the perspective, the the energy is very different than Gary. You know, it's there though, and it's through the filter of Gary. There's no question, right? But it's not like a completely different human being. But it's definitely not you.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:10
Yeah, and you know, it's interesting because when I first was listening to Abraham, remember in the beginning Esther had sort of an accent.
Alex Ferrari 1:29:18
Yeah,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:18
And like I love Paul's Selig, yeah. But I wouldn't want to have to repeat.
Alex Ferrari 1:29:25
He doesn't do it anymore.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:26
Oh, I know, but it's like starting out. Oh no, no, he was done it.
Alex Ferrari 1:29:29
No, no, and he trust me, he didn't want to.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:32
Yeah, but he he was brave enough to to go forward. You know, I wouldn't be. I would be if I was too different. I'd be like, nope, nope, I'm out.
Alex Ferrari 1:29:39
Paul as a and I adore Paul and we just did a bunch of cool stuff with Paul.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:46
He's my favorite channel under six three
Alex Ferrari 1:29:48
Under six three obviously. But Paul, when that was a thing, it was really I always tell people I'm like, do you believe in this channeling thing? I go watch Paul.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:29:56
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 1:29:58
No actor on the planet could do what he
Gary Temple Bodley 1:30:00
Ever gonna do that!
Alex Ferrari 1:30:01
A monolog for a 90 minute monolog that he's repeating it to himself, yeah, and like it's just insane. But he doesn't do it anymore. Now he the guides actually focused him now, and now he he does not. So he just came on the show. Hasn't gotten released yet, but he came on the show again, and he's like, "Yeah, I don't. The guides told me not. So occasionally you'll see him, but it's gone now, which makes it a lot easier.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:30:23
Well, I mean, he is-he is. I love everything about him. I love his voice as he narrates his books.
Alex Ferrari 1:30:30
Yes,
Gary Temple Bodley 1:30:31
It is I mean, that guy is a pro.
Alex Ferrari 1:30:34
Yeah, I couldn't. Well, he's done 14 of them. So yeah, he's done 14 of them at this point. No, it's it was a it was a beautiful channel. I really enjoyed Joshua. Joshua is a very interesting. Like again, I've I don't know if there's anyone who's spoken to more channels on the planet than I have at this point. Like at long depths like this, I don't I don't know if there is. There might be, but I have a perspective on the different energies and some channels entities or energies that come through. I'm like, oh, I can kind of hang. I can hang with Joshua.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:31:05
Yeah,
Alex Ferrari 1:31:05
Like Joshua is someone I can hang with and talk to. Some of them are very professorial. Yeah, and some of them are very like almost like you're they're here and you're here, and that's just their energy.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:31:16
Yeah, Joshua's more like a cheerleader and a coach. You know,
Alex Ferrari 1:31:19
You could you could have a beer with Josh. Totally, you could have a beer with Josh.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:31:22
If they're in front of an audience, they're very funny. You know.
Alex Ferrari 1:31:26
Oh no, there's definitely that that thing there. How do you feel when you come coming in out of Challenge? There's there's no difference.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:31:32
Yeah, I probably have a little bit less, you know, a little energy, a little tired, but not bad at all. Usually sweaty. Like I'm soaked in sweat normally when I channel, and that's why I had to you know wear something like this in a nice shirt. Yeah, but it's it's it's great. It's evolved, but it's easy for me now.
Alex Ferrari 1:32:02
So all these teachings. How long you been channeling Joshua?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:32:04
13 years.
Alex Ferrari 1:32:05
And and who is Joshua? Like I mean, they say like a group of like is it angels? Is it souls? Is it just collectives or a consciousness? What is? What are they?
Gary Temple Bodley 1:32:15
Yeah, all of it. You know, it's they they explain it one time. They said, "Imagine a boardroom, and there's 16 people in the boardroom, and they're all working together to write a book. And so there's someone at the front, and they're all giving their ideas. Now imagine a theater, and they're all doing the same thing. Now imagine an arena. That's how many's in Joshua, right? Now imagine a football stadium. Now imagine every football stadium in the world, and so when I channel them, I have Joshua, whoever they are, and then all of the inner selves of everyone who ever listen to whatever the channeling is, and so I just think of it as this, right? And somehow it comes in in a unified message, and I'm just translating the thought as best as I can while going on.
Alex Ferrari 1:33:05
So, after all the years that you've been working with Joshua, how does his teachings, or I say his for lack of a better, their their teaching is how has it affected your life and applied in your life? Because you're a human walking through this path, as all of us.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:33:19
Okay, so everything is about your perspective of yourself in your reality in all areas of your life, and I'll take the law of attraction cruise. So I'm invited to be on the cruise. The first thing I've ever done as a speaker in this arena, spirituality, and so I go and and I think who's going to come and see me. I just had just started the podcast say six months before, and Pam Graut was going to be on there, and all these other pretty famous people. And so I get on there, and I'm just like, no one's going to listen to what I'm saying. And it became I did two of them, and they became people came up, and they were really fascinated because it was much more specific, and explains how you create your reality and how you change your vibration. Right? You can't just change your vibration. Your vibration is a, from what I understand, is a translation of your perspective of yourself. So anyway, so after that cruise, I go maybe there is something I know here. Maybe I am good at this, and I can I can see how the other speakers were doing it. It was sort of like the old way of doing these things, you know, yeah, of promoting themselves and stuff. Yeah, and I go maybe there is something here, and so that shifted my perspective myself. And now I had new inspiration I could do, you know, and so basically, it's the same message that expands as I expand. As my belief expands, they talk about more. I can't talk about what I don't believe. For instance, they could do this in French, but I don't believe I could speak French. They could talk about some super woo-woo stuff, but I'm not comfortable talking about really woo-woo stuff, you know. So as I expand their their body of work, their their philosophy broadens a bit,
Alex Ferrari 1:35:15
Right! Because you're now the the in other words, the pipe that the information comes through can only put so much water out, but as the pipe grows, more information can come in and deeper information, wider information.
Gary Temple Bodley 1:35:28
Yeah, so it's really interesting. Christy and I got together. Christy started. Joshua came to Christy and introduced them to another group, right? And this group is called the Center, but they are Christy can see them. They're this white light, and so we call them white light. So Chrissy channels white light. So I was fascinated to talk to another channel and ask questions because I'm a very curious person. And as they, you know, like there's always a part of me that says, "Am I making this up, but I could ask these questions about manifestation events and perspective, and they gave this other way of looking at it that verifies it but expands it, and so I feel like white light is part of that Joshua group, and and there's stuff going on there too, and that really helped me see myself as I'm not a crazy guy, you know. It was very helpful to do that.
Alex Ferrari 1:36:29
