Spiritual Stress Detox: Releasing What No Longer Serves You with Marisa Liza Pell

Spiritual Stress Detox: Releasing What No Longer Serves You with Marisa Liza Pell

What if the life we keep trying to manifest is already standing at the door, but some hidden part of us is still too frightened to let it inside? In this profound conversation, we welcome back Marisa Liza Pell, a psychic, medium, spiritual teacher, and somatic transformation guide whose work now focuses on helping people reconnect intuition with the body instead of escaping the body in search of spirituality. What began as a conversation about the state of the world eventually became something much more personal: an unexpected demonstration of how quickly an old pattern can reveal itself when the nervous system believes we are approaching danger—even when that “danger” is simply imagining a bigger life.

Marisa believes one of humanity’s deepest problems right now is disconnection. Technology moves faster, relationships feel increasingly disposable, urgency has become a culture, and many of us are surrounded by more communication while experiencing less genuine connection. She describes her mission as bringing people back into relationship with their bodies, themselves, and one another. For her, changing the world begins at an intensely personal level. We can talk endlessly about raising consciousness, but if the body is carrying old wounds and repeating unconscious reactions, our spirituality can remain an idea floating above a nervous system that still believes it is fighting for survival.

That becomes especially important when Marisa talks about patterns. We all say we want deeper relationships, greater love, more purpose, and bigger opportunities. But when intimacy becomes uncomfortable, when success makes us more visible, or when a boundary creates guilt, the old system can suddenly take control. Marisa doesn’t believe information alone changes this. Podcasts, books, teachers, readings, and therapy can all help point us toward the doorway, but as she says, “It doesn’t do the work for you.” Eventually, life asks us to feel something uncomfortable without automatically reaching for the familiar behavior that once gave us relief.

Marisa shares an example of someone terrified to tell her family she wouldn’t attend Thanksgiving. The problem wasn’t intellectually understanding that she had the right to say no. The difficulty was holding the guilt and anxiety that arrived after setting the boundary. Marisa describes somatic work as expanding our internal capacity to experience those emotions without immediately collapsing into the old response. When the person finally followed through and discovered she was still safe, the nervous system received new evidence. The past was no longer happening. The alarm no longer needed to control the present.

Then the entire conversation unexpectedly becomes a laboratory. Marisa begins talking with me about the possibility of a future creative opportunity, and suddenly she notices things changing. My speech speeds up. My body becomes activated. My stomach tightens. We aren’t actually negotiating a project or facing any real-world danger—we’re simply discussing a hypothetical possibility. Yet my body is reacting as though something significant is happening. Marisa rejects the language of self-sabotage because she feels it turns a protective response into another reason to shame ourselves. Her interpretation is simpler: sometimes we consciously want something that our nervous system does not yet have the capacity to hold.

Then she asks me to do something that sounds almost absurdly simple. One hand goes to the chest, another to the belly. I breathe deeply and make a long, low “voo” sound, almost like a foghorn, extending the exhale as far as possible. We repeat it several times. Marisa describes the practice as part of working with the vagus nerve and the body’s protective state. What fascinates me isn’t merely the theory—it is my experience afterward. The nervous energy that had been obvious minutes earlier gives way to an extraordinary calm. I describe feeling almost “high,” although no substance was involved. When we return to the exact possibility that had triggered me, it suddenly feels manageable. The idea hasn’t changed. My relationship to the idea has.

This leads into one of the most fascinating ideas of the episode: perhaps intuition isn’t only the mysterious information arriving from somewhere beyond us. Marisa distinguishes external intuitive information from what she calls the internal felt sense—the body’s own GPS system. She argues that we can become so skilled at reading other people’s energy while being disconnected from ourselves that our intuition becomes a threat detector instead of a guide. She knows this personally. After decades of psychic and mediumship work, she eventually realized that helping other people did not automatically mean she had learned how to remain deeply connected to her own body.

SPIRITUAL TAKEAWAYS

  • Come back to the body. Spiritual growth isn’t only about reaching upward. Sometimes the next doorway opens by becoming more present within yourself.
  • Stop shaming the pattern. What looks like self-sabotage may be an old protective response asking for greater safety and capacity.
  • Follow what feels alive. Marisa describes the body’s felt sense as an internal form of intuition that can help guide our next step.

By the end of our conversation, something subtle but unmistakable has shifted. I am not rushing toward the next question. Time seems slower. The nervous anticipation that was present earlier has softened into something far simpler: being here. Marisa says these are now the victories she values most—the moments when she can savor life without disappearing into yesterday or racing toward tomorrow. Perhaps we spend so much time imagining awakening as a spectacular event that we overlook its quietest expression. Maybe awakening is also the moment the body finally stops bracing, the mind stops running, and for just a little while we discover that this moment is enough. As Marisa puts it, when we are connected to ourselves and genuinely present with one another, “the universe is limitless.”

Alex Ferrari 0:00
We're just talking about what ifs that are so out there.

Marisa Liza Pell 0:03
Eyes are changing, your speech is changing. You're talking fast. That means to me, we've hit we've hit the electric fence. When we're triggered emotionally, we usually default to subconscious things that we do. So we're just gonna do a quick little exercise.

Alex Ferrari 0:18
Can I speak?

Marisa Liza Pell 0:18
No. Okay.

Alex Ferrari 0:19
I'm just asking. I do this all for you guys.

Marisa Liza Pell 0:25
He's not coachable.

Alex Ferrari 0:37
I'd like to welcome back to the show returning champion , how you doing, Marisa?

Marisa Liza Pell 0:42
I'm so good. I'm so happy to be back.

Alex Ferrari 0:45
Yes, thank you so much.

Marisa Liza Pell 0:46
Having so much fun with you guys.

Alex Ferrari 0:48
It has been a joy. You've been here, which we'll talk about later. But you've been here shooting some stuff with us.

Alex Ferrari 0:54
Yes, yes. We have a Next Level Soul Mastery course that we just shot, and by the time this airs, it will be available for people, and it's called the stress detox, which we're going to get into all of that. Your interesting methods of how how you do it, and after taking the course with you, because I was there with you,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14
Yes, you were kind of taking it with. I was as we were doing it.

Alex Ferrari 1:18
I'm there with you. I was really in in it. It was, it kind of blew my mind. A lot of it, like it was really, yeah. No, there was there's things that you think about. It's like, it's kind of like, it's not that it was like revolutionary in the sense of like I've never heard that before. Yeah. The way you combined everything and the system, the way you laid it out, I was like, well, yeah. If you feel stressed out, or you feel overwhelmed. If you do these these tips and these things, it really does help you. But anyway, we'll get into that later. Yes, we'll go down that road later. But it has been so much fun, and you've been looking forward to this.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:52
Yeah, I was like, we'll do that first, and then we'll do this second because it's like the party time for me. Yes, exactly. Like I just love riffing with you, and like, I don't know. Sometimes I plan like what we're going to talk about, and with you, every time I'm just like, I don't know where this is going to go. The spirit will leave. I agree. What's going to happen?

Alex Ferrari 2:10
I have questions here, but I have it here just purely for my own my own blankie. But I I doubt I'll even look down that one. You don't need the blankie. I don't think the blankie at this point. We don't need the blankie.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:20
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 2:20
So let's start it off with what's going on in the world. It's getting nuttier and nuttier.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:28
Yes.

Alex Ferrari 2:28
And it's something that concerns a lot of people, and a lot of people are overwhelmed. A lot of people are stressed. Yeah. And that's people who are not in war zones and really getting hammered by a lot of the things that are going on in the world, but I'd love to hear your point of view of not only why we're going through all of it, but what do you see for us? Because, and for people who didn't, this is our third conversation.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:51
Third,

Alex Ferrari 2:51
Third conversation. Yes.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:53
So been on a journey.

Alex Ferrari 2:54
We have been on a journey.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:55
Yes.

Alex Ferrari 2:56
The first time you came on, you were on a Zoom call, and you did reading like a live reading for me, and like I think 30 minutes of the show was just a reading, much

Marisa Liza Pell 3:05
Longer.

Alex Ferrari 3:06
Yeah, something like that was a reading, but it was so entertaining. The one thing I've always said, and I know a lot of psychics, and I know a lot of channels, but you're the fastest, most accurate psychic I've ever encountered. Like you, you're so sharp, you're so fast. Is is what gets me because the information flies so quickly and it's so accurate. Because I and I can only reference accuracy from my own experience, but it was from your days on a radio morning radio show that you had to gun like

Marisa Liza Pell 3:36
Yeah. There was a lot of pressure, and

Alex Ferrari 3:38
It was a hostile environment.

Marisa Liza Pell 3:39
It was all men in a locker room style setting that would eat you up if you number one made a mistake and number two if you didn't go fast enough. They needed call because people are coming on their drive to work major market radio in Philadelphia, and it went all the way up to Trenton, and they're like, you have to get this many calls, and they're like, you're too slow. Just keep, you know, you just have, and you have to be on with people you don't see, you don't know the random people calling in, and they're Philly fans, sports fans.

Alex Ferrari 4:10
I've heard the Philly fans are intense.

Marisa Liza Pell 4:13
Yeah, but if they love you, if they love you, they love you.

Alex Ferrari 4:15
Yeah, so it's it's it's a city of brotherly love.

Marisa Liza Pell 4:18
Yeah, I mean, it was. I mean, the show was called the Philly Guy's Morning Show. I mean, it had comedian, another guy. Like, I mean, and they would there's they would rip people, and so and then the guy before that, he was even he was a sports commentator, and so it's a rough environment. It was I I had I I like if I could make it through that doing this, then you know, so that's where I pretty much had to turn up the broadcast on my intuition and just like trust I could I couldn't have a moment to like second guess or second think and when you're teaching it I had a school for 12 years where I taught people and it's like oh well I got this but I'm gonna second guess it and not say it because it's strange like you can't do that you you almost have to. Trust yourself like immediately, and if somebody says like a vat of pea soup and a lollipop, like you got to say it, you know, and hope that it hope that it hits.

Alex Ferrari 5:08
Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 5:09
And so it just that's the way it was.

Alex Ferrari 5:12
Yeah, so that's what that's the one thing about you that was always fascinating is that you're so fast and you're so accurate. So that's one of the reasons why I'm curious to see what you have to say about what's happening in the world. So, yes, tell me, my dear, what is spirit telling you?

Marisa Liza Pell 5:24
Yes. So things have evolved in my career since then. So I'm not, you know, I'm not on major market. Yes, obviously, yeah, yeah. It's been amazing. Yes. So I'm doing more of the transformational somatic expansion work and bringing people through a channeled method that is coming through to me as time goes on of like a reverse archeological dig through the chakras and bringing people down and releasing traumas. Like that's where I really feel because I feel like the world is in trauma, consciousness is in trauma, and we're so it's like you know animals become extinct. Well, like the human consciousness, like the heart, the heart, the heartbeat of the world is starting to become extinct.

Alex Ferrari 6:03
What do you mean by that?

Marisa Liza Pell 6:04
The love, the connection, because so much technology, so fast, everything so fast, urgency, culture, people were just replacing people in relationships, all that kind of stuff. It's just the brain just can't keep up with where things are going. Our brain, our human brain, just AI can't keep up, right? It's faster than us, so we're losing connection at a rapid rate. We're losing heart. We're losing soul. So we're in a we're not in the best place spiritually, and that's for me. That's my role. My mission is to bring people back to connection with their body, with themselves, and with each other, right? That's really the goal. So people are seeking. We're all seeking connection at such a high level, and we're so disconnected at such a high level. So when I get information, I get visuals. I get a lot of visuals, and I see the earth, and I see the earth divided, and the old earth and the new earth. So we're in like a new era where we're actually going into a really exciting time. So I'm going to bring good news.

Alex Ferrari 7:01
Please, please.

Marisa Liza Pell 7:03
The the challenging news is that if we don't solve the problem of disconnection on the personal level, like individually, and what I call moving through the light pillar, we do it in reverse. And what the method that was channeled to me, and most people don't make it through. Like it's it's very difficult because it's like blast zones. All these stuck centers in your body are all activation that you've built in your life from trauma, like since you were like before you're six years old, right? And each blast zone is bigger down the levels because the root center houses the core emotional wound. So each time you go with that blast zone, you're going through a big opening, and sometimes tumultuous things happen during those times where the beautiful spiritual things happen at the same time, but it's a very difficult process. So people are like, "Oh, I want the world to be better, right? I want the universe to be better. I want more connection. You have to start with yourself. So we have to start with working on ourselves and coming back to anchoring to the earth and to the light grid, activating our divine centers, and then our broadcast opens at such a at such a bigger rate. So, if we're doing this work, and if I'm guiding the people that are drawn to me to do this work, and those people take the torch and do this work, we're activating the light pillars of the world. Right? It's called the light pillar activation. And right now, there's not a lot of people that are doing it. They're they're not going down far enough into that root center and anchoring, right? There's not a lot of people, and the more people we have do that, like that's my mission is to get people to get to do that work because that's going to help raise the earth consciousness. But the good news is, is that there's like if you imagine the Earth, there's like a dividing line, and there's old era, which is a dark era, no connections, like the light off, and then the new era that's coming. Now this is going to be exciting for people like you and me because we came from the '80s, right? I'm gonna say this. I'm gonna put it out there. I've already seen evidence of this because I started talking about this about two or three months ago, because I got the download, the '80s are coming back. Okay, no, the good stuff. The good, the good stuff. You you see this with Pizza Hut; they're bringing back. Yes, you see it; it just happened, right? So yeah,

Alex Ferrari 9:10
So yeah, so so for everyone listening, Pizza Hut, there's certain owners of franchises of Pizza Hut who have now decided to do retro refittings of old Pizza Hut place to make it look like it was the '80s, and they are people are flocking

Marisa Liza Pell 9:26
Flocking

Alex Ferrari 9:27
To these Pizza Huts because they have gone back because now you're like I don't eat I haven't eaten pizza God knows how long,

Marisa Liza Pell 9:34
But you might

Alex Ferrari 9:35
But I don't know if I no I don't think my my stomach can handle it anymore but but if we were buy one I would absolutely take my kids to go see it, and and go. This is what it was like, you know, and have the arcade in the back and everything. And people are, I think, there's so much insanity going on right now that there is a big rush of nostalgia happening. It's yeah, and nostalgia in the Greek term is an illness. It's a it tech. According to the definition, it's an illness of the past. Like you can't let go of the past.

Marisa Liza Pell 10:04
You can't be present,

Alex Ferrari 10:05
And you can't be present. So they consider it an illness nostalgia. I mean, that's that's the technical term. I don't consider it because I, I, you know, you know me. You could see all the stuff I have around my area as well. You have Yoda in the other room.

Marisa Liza Pell 10:17
It was the only time we felt connected. It was the only time we actually felt like excited to go to like a fast food restaurant with our grandparents. You get a feeling. You get a feeling when you go, or you go to a park in the summer. You know, we don't get these feelings anymore. It's just like when are we going to get there? What time? How are we going to make everything happen?

Alex Ferrari 10:35
I think we've gone too far into this other direction. We'll use fast food as an example. Not that I'm a fan of fast food at all, but you know there was a nostalgic aspect to it. When I, you know, when I was growing up, I ate a lot of fast food. I ate McDonald's and Burger King and Wendy's and all that kind of stuff. Food was different back then, just slightly than it is today. I don't even know what you would call it today, but you know what I mean. But if you looked at the old McDonald's, they looked so much fun.

Marisa Liza Pell 11:00
They were they were fun.

Alex Ferrari 11:01
They was giant playgrounds. There was this or that. Yeah, yeah. Now they look like they look like prisons. I mean, you look. You don't. They're boxes. They're just gray.

Marisa Liza Pell 11:09
Yes,

Alex Ferrari 11:10
They're gray boxes.

Marisa Liza Pell 11:11
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 11:11
And they did

Marisa Liza Pell 11:12
Digital kiosks

Alex Ferrari 11:12
With digital kiosks. So there's no soul. There's no heart in it anymore. And I think people are searching and just they need that now.

Marisa Liza Pell 11:21
And you know what I'm going to talk about.

Alex Ferrari 11:22
Yeah, I know, and I will get to that in a minute. So

Marisa Liza Pell 11:25
excited about the channeling there. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 11:28
we'll get to that in a second. I know you've been wanting to say I

Marisa Liza Pell 11:31
do. I'm like, and we'll talk about it in a second.

Alex Ferrari 11:33
But I think that because I found myself like I've been on a run of old '80s action movies that I've been watching, and I don't know why. And I'm like, you know, I'm in. I'm gonna be 52, all right. So I know I'm in midlife, and I know I've had like a mini midlife crisis in that way. Like I'm going back and like, what's going on? It's just that, you know, I'm not getting a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, and I'm not chasing you know 20 year old girls or anything like that. Like you know what the classics are, but I've gone back to what was comfortable to me. It's really interesting what I'm going through personally, and I just started watching old action movies. From like I'm going through a Jean Claude Van Damme stage right now, and I'm watching all these old movies, and I'm just sitting there. I'm like, why am I watching these? Not that they're bad and they're enjoyable, and it takes me back to when I was working at a video store and and looking at those '80s movies and '90s movies, but I'm like, why am I? I'm analyzing like, why am I doing? I'm like, oh, I'm going back to the feeling that I had when I watched these for the first time, like when I watched Bloodsport, you know, like for the first time and and watched those movies. It's not something that I resonate with. Like I wouldn't watch the latest John Claude Van Damme, right, right, yeah.

Alex Ferrari 12:44
But I would, I'm watching these, and I'm I'm just fascinated with it. So I agree with you. I think that there is this need for nostalgia. Look at what's happening with um, with the trading card market right now, and the comic book market right now, and VHS market. People are there. The other day, they sold an original Star Wars VHS on on sealed for $25,000. Wow! So that says that's been around for a long time. Yeah, and now there's value in it. Why? Because people are connected to that. Well, no, they

Marisa Liza Pell 13:19
they want connection, and that's the only time

Alex Ferrari 13:22
that they felt in this.

Marisa Liza Pell 13:23
So, so the whole point is, we need to get them to feel like they're connected now, correct? In the present, because that's old connection. So,

Alex Ferrari 13:31
yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 13:31
I bridge that, but yeah, yeah, it's

Alex Ferrari 13:33
it's it's a it's a faux connection. It's just it's you're just rekindling the energy of what it was, but you're not focusing on what is now, right? So, and that's it's dangerous because if you go too far down the nostalgia road, you can just live there, and it's a tough. It's a tough

Marisa Liza Pell 13:49
in the past.

Alex Ferrari 13:50
In the past, and like literally building your, you know, building a. I've seen a guy who built a blockbuster in his garage. Yeah, like it's a walk-in blockbuster, quick drop, the whole thing. And I'm like, wow, dude. I'm like, I get it, super cool. But at a certain point, you're like, "What are we doing here, guys?

Marisa Liza Pell 14:05
I mean, it makes sense though. It does if the world is in this much disarray and disconnection

Alex Ferrari 14:10
push to the old. Yeah, the the

Marisa Liza Pell 14:11
technology, the internet, AI. It's it's all like, okay, I've been there. Don't like people are kind of like, okay, that's cool. Social media now it's just the algorithms-they're just showing you what you look at last. I mean, nothing's real, nothing's real anymore, nothing's connected, and the only way we're going to get there is if people get reconnected to their body somatically. It's the only way,

Alex Ferrari 14:33
exactly. And there was a smaller version of this happened in the 70s. If you remember, in the 70s, it was the 50. No, no, no! But like watching watching media, I don't remember the seven. But but in the 70s, there was a call back to the 50s because the 70s was a really rough decade. People forget how bad it was: Nixon, Vietnam, the inflation, the economy. That's why when the 80s showed up, everyone was like. So the yeah the the Iran contra the con every everything there's a lot of stuff going on in the 70s and there was like happy days and American graffiti and they were all going back Charles and Charles well that was a different a little bit yeah that was 80s but but they were going back to so it was a nostalgia for then so it's there there's been moments of oh, but it was so great back in that time. Go great back, but then people

Marisa Liza Pell 15:24
got connected in the '80s, is what I'm saying. Correct, channeling in to like bring this energy back into the world because the world is in such a place, and so like spirit is coming in, you know, and you don't understand. You're not in the bubble yet. Once you get in the bubble, there there is a bubble. There is an energy, and it's just you you you get you you become you become in it. That the like all these people are in right now.

Alex Ferrari 15:50
I mean, look, you can't deny what the the movie's done. Yeah, I mean, it's nearly you just dance it every day. It's a billion dollars playing the

Marisa Liza Pell 15:57
music. It's it's connecting.

Alex Ferrari 15:59
Yeah, it's almost at a billion dollars now worldwide, so there's something that's happening in it. There's something. There's something because you don't get to a billion dollars in box office without something, and it's not a it's not a Marvel movie. It's not Avatar. It's it's it's biopic.

Marisa Liza Pell 16:14
It's because people need connection, and that's the way that they remember the last time they felt it, and people are so deprived that it just it brought back life to a lot of people.

Alex Ferrari 16:28
Interesting.

Marisa Liza Pell 16:29
It brought the music back on for a lot of people. Turned the music back on in people's lives.

Alex Ferrari 16:34
This is an interesting conversation because I agree with you. I think that we are lacking connection in a very big way. I do think that there is. I know we're spiritually in a different place, but I believe that more people are awakening than ever before, or else these conversations wouldn't resonate with the millions that they do. So there is a curia, a curiosity, because I think at this point people are the systems that they grew up with: religious, government, business, media-all of it. Those systems aren't working for them anymore, and now they're looking for other answers. I let me ask you this: Do you believe that humanity has to is is going to mirror what the individual does? Which, from my personal experience, yeah, obviously I know, but from my personal experience, I'm hard headed, so a little bit. I'm stubborn sometimes, and the universe will whisper and all that. The the thing I've said, whisper, hitting a sledgehammer comes, and sometimes it's not even a sledgehammer; it's a freaking piano from you know the sky that drops. It's so bad. Are we being pushed as a collective to the place where it gets so bad for the collective worldwide that we are now forced to do the work? We're forced to to deal with the trauma. We're forced to connect. We're forced to do things that we just might have not wanted to do, like when you're fired from your job or you break up with your significant other unexpectedly, and all of a sudden you're forced to deal with something that you didn't want to have to deal with, and you've been kicking the can down the street. I think humanity's been kicking the can down the street for decades now, and it's finally getting to a point where like we can't we can't keep going like this. What do you think?

Marisa Liza Pell 18:22
You're asking a very personal question. You don't know it yet, so I don't mean to. Yeah, we can't cycle and and go into patterns anymore. It's just not going to work for humanity anymore. So people can only meet other people with how deeply they meet themselves. So most most of us want deeper relationships. We want deeper love. We want deeper connection to the world, to each other, especially in romantic relationships. Yet you're trading in people, you know, cyclically because you're like swiping left. Yeah, just whatever.

Alex Ferrari 18:55
Yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 18:55
Because things starting to get hard, starting get uncomfortable, and people don't want to do the work. They don't want to get down there. So when I was here last time, now I made a commitment when I evolved my career past just the readings because readings aren't-they're not the answer anymore. They help to guide us along that path and connect us, but we gotta-we gotta do our own work. Like there's there's no shortcuts anymore. So when I decided four or five years ago to build this other like evolution process that I take people through, I'm like universe just put me through it because all my clients they keep coming asking me the same thing over and over again, and I'm going through the same things over and over again. I'm not figuring out this problem, especially relationally. I see it because I come from, you know, difficult things happen in my background, right? Like most of us, and you just don't intellectually deal with that by listening to a bunch of podcasts or reading books or even going to therapy and talking it out. They're like

Alex Ferrari 19:52
they're guides. Those these shows, books, courses, events-they're guides.

Marisa Liza Pell 19:58
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 19:58
to you to me to eventually. To to yourself, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 20:01
But it doesn't do the work for you.

Alex Ferrari 20:03
No, you've got to do the lifting, of course.

Marisa Liza Pell 20:05
So then, when the work starts getting a little uncomfortable, you're like, "Oh, I'll go to the next mentor, the next shiny object. Well, watching

Alex Ferrari 20:10
workout videos instead of working out, right? Or

Marisa Liza Pell 20:14
talking to trainer, training gets a little hard. You're like, "I'm not going to go to that gym anymore. I'm going to try this next like you know. This is like a get rich quick thing, and I'll just in 30 days I'll get a shot and I'll I'll lose 50 pounds that way instead of going to the gym for six months. You know, like I don't want nobody. We're all wah wah, like we don't want anything be hard because everything like the popsicles right there. Like that's like whatever I can have 10 of them, but that's not gonna that's not going to do at this point. The universe has no more patience for it. Like the higher ups, the ascended, everybody, like all levels of of consciousness, no more patience, right? So when I said put me through it, the universe is like, are you ready? And it put me through a lot of difficult stuff, which had me build my program, had me get transformations for a lot of people. What it didn't prepare me for was what happened when I came here last time. And you're like, why would you drive down here? And I'm like, I knew there was a reason that I had to take some sort of pilgrimage. You had a

Alex Ferrari 21:15
vision quest,

Marisa Liza Pell 21:16
right? Yeah, a

Alex Ferrari 21:17
walkabout,

Marisa Liza Pell 21:18
right? And I, I know, like when my when my clients go through these blast zones in their chakras, everybody else in the program can see it. Like as soon as they come on Zoom, they're like, "Oh my God, they're there! They went down another level. But each time that block is open, it's a more turbulent. Like it's it's like I'm not telling you what's going to happen when you first come in here because you're not going to want to do this. Most people can't don't make it through. Right? It's hard. So I'm thinking, okay, I'm going to see some of the country I didn't get to see, and you're like, you're you're doing a walkabout, you know, like, and when I got back, it didn't. I needed that two weeks or whatever because it didn't prepare me for the turbulence that was about to hit in my life, and I told you about my white light experience that I had when I was 14 in the first interview. So if you viewers haven't seen that, go to the first interview. But I had a another another huge spiritual profound awakening when I got back from from the show, which I think I needed that lead up of that walkabout to have that experience, and then my relationship right after I had that experience. If I didn't have this experience in this opening, and God removed a certain level of trauma from me instantly, plus the somatic work leading into it, I needed to hold that level of insane, insane pain for the opening to occur, for the spiritual awakening to happen, and when it did, I I had this opening that was the most one of the most incredible things that ever happened to me. I'll get into detail. I told you about this. I'm going to write a book about all the details of this, but it opened me up to where it removed things instantly that I had been struggling with for the past 10 years, like cycles and patterns, it was just gone, freed. And when two people, you know, I'm in a very long-term relationship. When two people are both deciding to do this work at the same time, and he's a little bit further behind me, but it creates a lot of turbulence in the relationship where you you mean all the stuff that from your childhood, all the stuff from your ancestral line, your generational trauma-it's all coming up, projected onto the other. Because if you know there's three stages of relationships: the honeymoon, the power struggle phase, and the mature love phase. Every relationship has to go through it. So the power struggle phase could last eight years. A lot of people get divorced before that, right? Most people don't make it through that. You can't skip them, right? But if you have trauma, if you have energetic breaks in your childhood, if you have all this stuff, it's going to be a harder power struggle phase for you. When I got back, our relationship almost like fell apart. Like it was literally like all this stuff came to light, all this stuff happened. And if I did not have that experience, I would not have gotten through it, like I would not.

Alex Ferrari 24:01
Two weeks, you mean?

Marisa Liza Pell 24:03
No, when after the two weeks, I came home. I had the spiritual experience, and then all the stuff just, yeah. It's like it was almost like right at that last second that the universe said, "I'm going to give you a gift to be, because you're going to have to help a lot of other people through this, you're going to have to help people go through this in your life, and he's going to too. And you guys are going to have to help other people with this situation that you you and both of us. The trauma just almost ripped us apart. Like seriously, both of us having to go through that for

Alex Ferrari 24:36
sure.

Marisa Liza Pell 24:37
You know, because we couldn't. We had sought help many many years, and it was like the same song and dance that everybody goes through, you know. And miracles happened in our lives, like for him and for me. And there's we've had spiritual experiences. I mean, it was just it's it's crazy, and we're like, okay, like the the universe. It's not just for us. Like the universe wants to. Bring us to bring this to people and to help other people through it. So we had to go through this pain.

Alex Ferrari 25:04
That's the thing too. That as teachers, you know, and many times we have to, you know, we got to kind of taste. We have to go through it in order to teach it. Because intellectually, we can talk. You can intellectually talk about all of that, but unless you feel it, unless you've gone through it, it's a whole other conversation. And sometimes I'm even noticing that the universe puts me through some stuff, you know. And I'm like, oh, why am I going through this? Like, what am I? What's the lesson here? And then you get kind of a download, or you in a meditation, you get the information. You're like, oh, it's because you got to teach it. You gotta put it out there. You've gotta, as a teacher, a student can feel when it's intellectual on a surface level, or when you've when you felt it, when you've gone through it,

Alex Ferrari 25:53
and there's a huge difference, you know. And I've, I've again, I have such a unique perspective because I speak to so many lovely souls like yourselves, and I've had teachers on the show who talk about it from an intellectual standpoint, and it's very valuable.

Marisa Liza Pell 26:07
Sure,

Alex Ferrari 26:07
information-it's information, though.

Marisa Liza Pell 26:09
People are smart; they can learn things.

Alex Ferrari 26:11
Correct. Yeah, but when you feel when you feel what they're teaching, it's a whole other conversation. You can-it just comes through the energy. It's very, very, very different, and not it's not not to say that you can't teach something that you haven't done, you know. But in this arena, it's very, very powerful. So that's wow, that's crazy. Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 26:32
he told me that he prayed for this stuff, like because there's things that we're high achievers, people with with energetic breaks or what I call trauma in our lives, we're high achievers, high producers. We're really good at our work, but when it comes to certain things we've experienced, it's like there's certain levels below and those lower chakras that just won't move, and that you you do suffer with. And so he saw, he knew going into this relationship, like what I struggled with, but then when you're doing this work and you're opening up somatically and you're opening up internally and you're opening up those vulnerabilities with the work, that stuff comes up and it comes out. And so he saw how much, like when I started really getting into the middle part of the work, he saw how much I was suffering, and I mean I was still doing my job really well, but he said I prayed for like nine years for this to go away every day. He prayed for me to be relieved because he saw like people on the outside aren't seeing what I'm going through, but he saw what I went through at home.

Alex Ferrari 27:37
Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 27:38
and it affected us. And he went. He has his own stuff that he's been going through, right? So he got to that very end where he like didn't believe God God heard his prayer, like he had no hope anymore for us, and he just thought I'd have to live with this the rest of my life. But I was doing so much work that there was about a week after I got back before this. There's so much detail to this. It's hard, and so many experiences. Like it's too much to talk about right now. But I will. It's not. I I will be telling the world all of this, right? But it it it was just like so many things happened during that course of time.

Alex Ferrari 28:23
So, with that said, though,

Marisa Liza Pell 28:24
yeah,

Alex Ferrari 28:25
these kind of awakenings and this kind of work-that is what's needed to change this world right now. Well, it was

Marisa Liza Pell 28:33
at the very last minute that God said, "Oh, you guys are going on different pathways. Like we weren't-I mean, it was-it was very turbulent, and it like literally was at the last second that the the experience came down, and I I looked at him and I'm like, I'm free. He's like, what, what? Like we, I remember we were outside and he could he looked into my eyes and he knew, and he started crying. He's like, he knew what happened.

Alex Ferrari 28:58
He felt it.

Marisa Liza Pell 28:59
Well, he saw it. My students, I got on the, I got on the, the Zoom, and they're like, "Oh my God, what happened? My mom, people around me, you know, it was just, but it was like timing wise, the it was amazing. The timing of it was the very last critical moment where the universe was like, okay, I'm going to do what you prayed for, but I had a hold a week up to that. I had made a decision instead of patterning. I had decided to hold it, and what does that

Alex Ferrari 29:30
mean? That

Marisa Liza Pell 29:31
means that when we're triggered emotionally, we usually default to subconscious things that we do. So if somebody triggers you, like let's say your dad used to yell at you a lot when you were young, and

Alex Ferrari 29:45
someone yells at you, yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 29:47
you have tendency to you know probably get very aggressive or whatever, and so for you to because that's so ingrained, that's something that always subconsciously happens. What the somatic work does is it allows enough space for you to be able to hold that, to hold that aggression without acting out. So, with doing something differently while at the same time holding all that intensity, all that energy, and not cycling into the same pattern.

Alex Ferrari 31:38
So, when do you release that energy?

Marisa Liza Pell 31:41
When you change the pattern

Alex Ferrari 31:43
in a different in a safer

Marisa Liza Pell 31:44
in a different way, so because

Alex Ferrari 31:46
if you're triggered in a scenario and you're just holding that energy in, that will hurt you eventually. So you have to let go of it. Maybe not at the moment, obviously, but maybe I could

Marisa Liza Pell 31:55
give you a better example of that. A lot of my students we call them leap points or conversion events that they go through in our process, and it's kind of like I had one student who's like, you know what? I hate going to Thanksgiving at my my parents' house. Hate it every year. They're like, I really wish that I could go away with my family to like Florida or something and just have a good time, but like because of the trauma in her background, she was so afraid to say she wasn't coming for the way they would react, and you know the consequences of that, and the guilt that she would feel, okay, and the anxiety. So basically, she didn't have the capacity to hold the guilt and anxiety and say no and actually complete it. So she did the somatic the somatic expansion work with the vagus nerve work that we do, which is only at the top of the glacier. She gave herself enough capacity because what happens? What happens is that you could say, okay, I'm going to do it this year. I'm going to tell them I'm not coming, right? So she might have the capacity to say, "I got it. I'm going to tell them, and then they pull the guilt trips, and then she has so much guilt and so much anxiety that she wants release relief from the anxiety, so she folds. That's the normal pattern because you can't hold that that that anxiety and guilt, right? Because it gets so uncomfortable and gets keeps getting more and more intense. So the somatic work, what it does is it brings that intensity down a little bit, and it expands us internally to be able to still hold it and still complete the action. So she was able to actually feel extreme amounts of guilt and anxiety, and not fold and still go. Okay. So we call them inversion. We call them conversion events, and then that builds confidence because she sees at the other end of it. Oh, I did this. So that inner child, her seven-year-old, said, "I did this, and it was okay. So it was it was a it was a disconfirming event for the nervous system that said, "Oh, this is this is safe now. We're not back in 1985 or 2026, and you made it through. Okay, now the system could stop the alarm; it could stop the panic button. So next time she could do it, and the system won't go into that space.

Alex Ferrari 34:12
Yeah, let's dive into that a little bit because when you're talking about instances of trauma in your past, and no one gets out of life without some trauma in this life. That's the. I mean, we're here to learn, and trauma is a teaching tool. Unfortunately, yeah, but it is a teaching tool. And you know, sometimes you know you see somebody like overreacting to like, can you put the dish away, and and then someone loses their complete craft, and you're like, it's not about the dish. It's not about the dish. But if you can find a way to, I love that idea that you're saying, hold the space,

Marisa Liza Pell 34:50
yeah,

Alex Ferrari 34:50
to feel everything you're gonna feel, but not crack under the pressure. That signals to your nervous system, hey, you're not gonna die if you don't go to Thanksgiving. Dinner, it might be a little rocky. You might you might take some incoming shells, but you'll survive. And once you make it through the other side of it, then you're like, oh, okay, I can I can get. I did it, and that goes through everything in life, whether it's starting on a diet, working out, starting school, like things that you were always terrified about. It's not as bad.

Marisa Liza Pell 35:23
It's about the holding it consistently. A lot of people could do it on a whim, or if they force themselves to. But like in her situation, like she was getting calls from her family, like, "What do you mean you're not coming? And all this stuff. The problem is, is that I don't care how successful you are. I don't care if you make millions of dollars a year. Oh, your capacity inside is your capacity, and the only way that we expand that capacity is if we deactivate the energy, and we stretch the system to where you're uncomfortable, you're triggered, and you're still moving through it anyway. And consistently, though, how many times in your career? I'll bring this up because it happened to me many times. We've been in this industry for a long time-film, television, all that stuff. How many times, if you think of yourself, I know when I had less capacity to hold energy, because you think if you're going to do great things, you have to optimize your vessel. You have to optimize your energy, your physical health, all those things and hold it. Mental health, everything. That's a lot of energy to hold, right? I call it blipping. What happens with people is that, like, you've probably had opportunities in your earlier career where you're like, "Oh my God, I got, I got this big project in front of a big director, right? And then it dropped, right? How many? And it's devastating, right? But you're almost there. You're almost there, and it drops. It's it's all day,

Alex Ferrari 36:42
all day,

Marisa Liza Pell 36:43
all day,

Alex Ferrari 36:43
all day, multiple times in my life. I was always good enough to get in the room

Marisa Liza Pell 36:46
because you can't hold the energy consistently because internal capacity. Interesting. Once you have more capacity, you can hold it.

Alex Ferrari 36:56
So okay, so let's analyze this for a second. Now we're going to go into a therapy session. That's a therapy session for you. Yeah, no, because my first book is called Shooting for the Mob, and it's all about me almost making a $20 million movie for the mafia, and and I was flown out to LA. I met the biggest movie stars and all that kind of good stuff, and it's it's available on Next Level Soul TV if you want to listen to it. But I was 26,

Marisa Liza Pell 37:21
right,

Alex Ferrari 37:21
when that stuff happened, and I-that is the the probably the most extreme version of this ever happening in my life. I had multiple other times I was in the room, but I was never across from Batman at his house in New Mexico or in the producers of The Matrix's, you know, penthouse in Hollywood Hills and that kind of stuff. So I had never gone through all of that, but I was. I look back now. I'm like, I'm so grateful it didn't happen. Like if I would have been thrown into a $10 million movie in that time with these kind of people who were just giants, I would have been eaten alive. It would have destroyed me.

Marisa Liza Pell 38:03
You wouldn't have been able to handle. And I would. And

Alex Ferrari 38:05
let's say I get through it. Let's say I make the movie. Let's say we it gets through the finish line, and this becomes a success. The success I wouldn't have been able to handle. Any sort of success that would have come in, like oh, you're so great. Oh my God. Here, here's a project here. Here's a project there. The ego would have gone out of

Marisa Liza Pell 38:23
control. Also, what you what the subconscious is afraid of is not the success; it's the judgment and criticism that comes with more visibility.

Alex Ferrari 38:31
Back then, sure,

Marisa Liza Pell 38:32
because that would opened you up to everything more criticism.

Alex Ferrari 38:35
Oh,

Marisa Liza Pell 38:36
right. Oh, more visibility.

Alex Ferrari 38:38
Absolutely, absolutely. And it was it was before people

Marisa Liza Pell 38:40
are afraid of that.

Alex Ferrari 38:42
Oh, the fear of success is another huge, huge deal. People

Marisa Liza Pell 38:45
like to stay in their comfort zone with people who love them, and you know, but all that.

Alex Ferrari 38:49
But I was always wondering that about my career as a filmmaker. Is like every time I would, I would have a big project, and I would then get, I'd do the rounds, I do the water, water. It's called the water bottle tool. You just go to different agencies and and for that, and they just give you water bottles, so it's the water bottle tour. And I would do that constantly. I would go to the big agencies, and I would go big producers, and and it would be I would be in the room. I mean, talking Oscar winners and all these kind of things, and I never would materialize. I'm like, why am I good enough to get in the room? But I can't, I can't move. And I'm very grateful those things didn't happen because it would have skewed me in a different direction. But like now, if someone would present me with a $20 million movie or a you know a big Hollywood feature, first of all, I probably wouldn't do it because I'm not I don't unless it's something that really calls my attention. But I can handle. I feel I could handle it a lot better now

Marisa Liza Pell 39:42
because why?

Alex Ferrari 39:43
Well, because I'm older. You don't

Marisa Liza Pell 39:45
care as much. You're not reaching. You're not desperate. You don't have this energy of like I need. Oh, I don't need any of it. No, no. It comes from I remember when I I just gave it all up and I built this my program and I was so fulfilled internally with the. Transformations I'm getting with my clients, and all these opportunities started coming to me after I had that another drop in my body. It was directly after that, and all of a sudden, so many things just came without me even wanting them, needing them, and I'm like, okay, whatever, sure, I'll do that. This came about at the same time,

Alex Ferrari 40:21
and you didn't want to come on. You didn't like. I don't want to have any. I don't even. No, not that you didn't want to come. You just like.

Marisa Liza Pell 40:27
I didn't even know. I didn't. I wasn't even in the the world of watching podcasts or YouTube. It was your assistant. No, it was my friend. Oh, your friend. Sorry, good friend who's been with me my whole career. Who actually she heard me on that radio show many years ago, and she became a client, and then I became a client of hers at the radio station, and then we started doing the shows together. We have like a 30-year relationship, you know. And she was a

Alex Ferrari 40:51
fan of ours.

Marisa Liza Pell 40:52
She was like, "You got, you got it, and she she gets excited about a lot of things, and she's like, "You know, you got to get on the show. And I'm like, "Dude, I'm not, I'm not pushing myself. I'm not marketing myself anymore. I'm so fulfilled. I every day with the work I'm doing now. Like I hadn't ever been that fulfilled. I'm happy. I was happy. I didn't need it anymore. I didn't need any of that stuff. And for so long, I needed it. Needed the next. I couldn't even savor something that happened that I've been working toward a minute. Couldn't even savor it and be like, "Oh, I'm so proud of myself. It was like, well, what's the next thing?

Alex Ferrari 41:22
Yeah, what's the next thing? Yeah, it's that's building a tolerance,

Marisa Liza Pell 41:25
and nothing ever like hit it. I need more and more and more, and it's because all of this disconnected from the body, right? Which I didn't know most of my career that it wasn't just intuition. We needed both. We need science. We need spirituality. We need both because this is the vessel we're born into is a mission, but yeah,

Speaker 1 41:44
yeah, she

Alex Ferrari 41:45
got you in.

Marisa Liza Pell 41:46
Yeah, so for two years, two years, every three months you have to go on this guy's show. I'm like, I know, like I'm not, I'm not putting together a media packet. I have no time, no energy to edit stuff. I just don't want it. So finally, she just kept being persistent. I'm like, all right, look, I'll do it. I'm like, but if you want, you have to submit me. And I didn't expect it. Like she said to like, how many people want to come on the show? And I'm like, all right, if you want to submit me and put like take the time to put together like my 25 year career and videos, and so she went and did it. She went and did it and emailed you guys, and like literally, it was like seven days later. She calls me up like she had just seen Lego Jackson, gotten his autograph, screaming, crying. Oh my god, you're not gonna believe this! And I'm like, what? She's like, oh, they want, they wanted, they want you to come on. I'm like, okay, like, okay. So I'll respond. That's good, and here I am, like drinking like iced tea out of a straw. I don't know if somebody on YouTube is going to be like, "Is she drinking out of a mug out of straw? I am. Yes. So anyway, it's for your lips because I like my lips. Yeah, exactly. So I remember you guys are like, "Okay, like let's do it on Zoom, because I was like not going to fly down, right? Because I was like, "I don't even know this guy, so then we get we get on Zoom, and I'm like, I don't, whenever I do stuff, I don't like to have like a bias of anything, so I don't. You haven't seen any of the shows, no, I didn't know who you were, didn't ever see anything, and you're just on Zoom, and it's just like a guy, like a guy with a coffee shop, yeah, and you're like, oh, well, hi Marissa. Like you must be a big fan of the show. I'm like, I have no idea who you are, and

Alex Ferrari 43:24
I'm like, that's amazing. Let's get no idea. Like, and you just

Marisa Liza Pell 43:28
laughed, and I was great talking to this guy. Oh, it was

Alex Ferrari 43:30
great. Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 43:31
and we had like, I mean, I was like, I don't, I don't know. We just had the most amazing interview because I didn't care.

Alex Ferrari 43:37
Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 43:38
I was just like, I'm not like, oh, I'm going on, and I'm. I have to talk about it. Have an outline. I was just like, I'm just gonna talk to this guy because my friend put me up to it. But like, literally, this came, and and it was like something that I mean, it just opened up to your audience, and and I don't like, I really don't read the comments or anything. But then, you know, she was like, you got to read all the comments. Like once we're you know we were on vacation and I'm like oh she's like no no they're all like positive and I'm like what she's like they love you and I'm like what is going on like what is happening so and then the and the episode and the

Alex Ferrari 44:11
episode aired while you guys were on vacation

Marisa Liza Pell 44:14
and we didn't have a laptop you had

Alex Ferrari 44:15
no laptop and we were unprepared for everything totally unprepared you're like you might

Marisa Liza Pell 44:20
want to have your systems in check, so I, I, I did warn you. I did warn you. Well,

Alex Ferrari 44:24
but you didn't. You didn't. You didn't. I didn't know where. Yeah, I didn't heed the warning, but I did warn you. Like, look,

Marisa Liza Pell 44:29
but I did. I did. I put like a. I locked down the website. I had like links, but it was the new website. I didn't think that people would find your old website. Because I, because I'm like, here's the link for the show notes and everything's in order. I built something like seven years ago on old website and people like all these people went and found like the old wooden roller coaster in the amusement park and were like that wasn't working. The cars weren't even running. We're on vacation and I'm like, what is going on my phone? And like. Our, we had videos on this one server that expired years ago, and people were like, "We can't get into these videos, and we're like, "Oh my God, there's like videos that are black in there. We have, so like Alex was like, "We have to like stop at a restaurant. Alex is

Alex Ferrari 45:13
is your husband? Yeah. Yes. So everyone knows just no confusion. Yes.

Marisa Liza Pell 45:16
So we, you know, we stopped at at a restaurant, and after they closed, he went up to the manager. He's like, and I'm sitting there freaking. I can't even enjoy the vacation because we're getting hundreds of people being like, we can't get in to see these videos. And I'm like, there's no videos. And he had to borrow like the manager's like laptop on vacation. On vacation. This is weird. While they're wearing silverware, like they're closed, and I'm there for two hours trying to find videos to like put up, and we're like, "Oh my god! I mean, because I've been in the industry for so long that we've had big events, we've had, but this was like a tsunami all at once. Like it was like it was very intense. Yeah, it was the most intense wave that we've ever had. So I, it happens. I know how to like, yeah. So it was. We were prepared the second time. The

Alex Ferrari 46:01
second time, you were a bit more prepared. Yeah, yeah, and we're you will be prepared for this. Yes, we're already

Marisa Liza Pell 46:07
we're already preparing now for this time.

Alex Ferrari 46:09
It's I did warn you though. I did. I did my job. I did my job. I do. I do generally let people know. Like it just you know.

Marisa Liza Pell 46:17
You were kind of casual about it though.

Alex Ferrari 46:19
Well, because I'm not like, hey man, you gonna get the tsunami and stuff. Like I don't know what's going on. You're

Marisa Liza Pell 46:24
like you you might have some people coming your way. That's what you said. Well, that's that's

Alex Ferrari 46:28
generally what I say. I'm like, look, you might have some. I thought maybe 100. You might get a bump of of traffic. You might get a bump of traffic a little bit. Speed bump to me. Yeah, that's how. But I can't because I can't promise that for everybody because not everyone gets the reactions. It all really depends on the the instr the instructor or the the guests and their energy and how people connect with it. And the reason why you know you came on like when you were brought to me by my wife, and she's like, I think this might be a good person for you to have on the show. I looked at your stuff. I'm like, oh, first of all, I love the East Coast energy. So I was like, "Oh, I can smell my own. So I can smell the East Coast energy, but this kind of irreverent attitude towards spirituality, which I love because they're grounded and it's kind of like, "Look, you know, this is what I do. Yeah, I talk to dead people. I channel. I I do psychic work and all this. Like, yeah, sure, but it's very nonchalant about it, and that's I love that kind of attitude. So when I saw that work in your in your work, I saw that energy in your work. I was like, oh yeah, we're gonna have a good time. And those are usually some of the best conversations when I have someone like who's irreverent to the the whole scenario. Yeah, I love buy

Marisa Liza Pell 47:34
me a mind body spirit fair. Like I just I'm and there's nothing. No, there's nothing wrong with nothing

Alex Ferrari 47:38
wrong with it. Hey, listen, I you've never seen me at one either. Yeah, nothing that's. I'm just not up in

Marisa Liza Pell 47:42
clouds. I'm not up in clouds about it. Like everything's going to be fixed from like a crystal.

Alex Ferrari 47:46
And like I said, you know, I mean, and and again, nothing wrong with crystals. I

Marisa Liza Pell 47:50
have crystals in my house.

Alex Ferrari 47:51
Exactly, I love the crystals. I have them around here somewhere. But the the point is that the way I've approached this whole this whole business of what I'm doing and this mission is grounded. It's grounded. It's trying to ground it in a place where people can really grab onto it and not be so far out. And we talk about very esoteric things on this show, and we go far out. Go out, but it's done in a very grounded way. And that's what I love about your energy and why we wanted to bring you on as a mastery teacher because of this kind of energy that is rare in this space, it's not. There's not a lot. I've done. We're closing in as of this recording. We're closing in on 700 episodes, and I've spoken to a lot of people. And it's it's not. It's rare to find people who are in a grounded space when doing this. So I appreciate that from you. My

Marisa Liza Pell 48:41
students get a little upset because they think when they come, like the work that I'm doing now, like most people come and are highly sensitive, so they have intuitive abilities. They're really interested in the psychic and the mediumship stuff, and I'm like, you can't talk about it for at least a year. Like we're not going there because if you're trying to do the work in the body and mediumship at the same time, it cancels each other out. You can't do that. I'm not gonna. I'm definitely not gonna teach it to you if you don't work on your trauma. Definitely not. Well,

Alex Ferrari 49:08
I mean, it's like, it's like any. It's the basic teacher's motto. Like you need a basis. It's dangerous. It's it's so perfect example. I go up to China somewhere and go to the Shaolin Temple, and I walk in. I'm like, I just saw a kung fu movie, and I would love to be able to do a spinning back kick like I saw in John Claude Lancome Bloodsport. Can I do that, please? And I'm and you try to do that at first, you'll kill yourself,

Marisa Liza Pell 49:37
correct,

Alex Ferrari 49:38
and anybody else around you.

Marisa Liza Pell 49:39
So go be mad

Alex Ferrari 49:40
exactly because, but you're going to do a year of other work to get to the place to be able to do that thing that you want

Marisa Liza Pell 49:48
consistently,

Alex Ferrari 49:48
consistently high

Marisa Liza Pell 49:49
broadcast, and you're going to be safe. But and the safety of people is my concern, mr. Miyagi. What do you have? What do you have them do? Wash cars, right? For like a really. Why am I doing wax on, wax off? Why why am I doing that? Well, eventually plus a memory, but like when when the people I'm training, like because I didn't have that when I had my school for 12 years. I didn't have that. My life was a mess. I didn't have the somatic work. I wasn't grounded in my body, and it showed. You know what I mean? In the fulfillment of my life. So now I'm like I want to keep people safe. I want to keep them. I want to have them feel a connection to themselves, and connect to their own GPS system because it's important.

Alex Ferrari 50:30
I want to ask you this because you just popped into my head as teachers. So lately, there's been a lot of different things happening in the world. Yeah, yeah. You know, and you know, people obviously organizations and industries and things are all being shaken up, right?

Marisa Liza Pell 50:45
Right.

Alex Ferrari 50:46
But there's a lot of heroes that are falling that I've seen in the spiritual space, you know. And then you you go down like you start. I went down rabbit hole and started watching a lot of these like cult and cult documentaries and stuff like that on HBO and on Netflix and stuff like a fascinating. I'm like, I want to know what the psychological like how do people fall into that and who are they and what is about this teacher? What is that teacher doing and where has that teacher gone? Because usually these teachers have a they have a good message. They start in a good place, but they skew. So you were just saying that you know when you were teaching; you were a mess. But the information that you were giving was still valuable.

Marisa Liza Pell 51:24
Oh, absolutely! But people couldn't step into

Alex Ferrari 51:27
it, right? That's my point. So just because there's a teacher who is teaching very valuable, very absolutely ancient wisdom things like that, but then you watch you watch a show like Wow Wow Country with OSHA, and I know there's a lot of OSHA fans out there, and I know that OSHA, as a spiritual teacher, has profound stuff. But on a human standpoint, the man went off the rails, and that and that documentary shows it. Whether you believe it or not, it's up. You know, it's it's up. The comments will do whatever the comments are going to do. But the man had 46 Rolls Royces. You know, you've gone too far. You know, and all the stuff that came out afterwards. So that teacher, that that teacher, and a lot of spiritual teachers don't go through this work. They don't dig in deep and filter all that stuff out, so they don't fall for victims of these kind of temptations. Of sex is a big one. Money, fame, the spiritual ego is one of the worst egos I feel out there. Where there's masters like there are on the wall here who did all that work and then went out and taught and never fell for those like Yogananda, never fell for any of that stuff. He was a fully realized master. So I just wanted to get your opinion on why do you think these these figures are falling, and your take on what I just said in regards to like just because there's a beautiful spiritual teacher a spiritual teacher who is teaching beautiful information doesn't particularly mean that they've done all the work themselves. What's your think take on

Marisa Liza Pell 52:57
it? Yeah, remember I said the world can't hold the trauma anymore.

Alex Ferrari 53:00
Right,

Marisa Liza Pell 53:01
right. So there's no shortcuts anymore.

Alex Ferrari 53:04
That's the key.

Marisa Liza Pell 53:06
So the reason why so many spiritual teachers in the last 20 years are so talented, so gifted. I've helped so many people in the first 20 years of my career. I mean, I've helped so many people. I didn't help myself, so it's sad. I feel bad because the reason why the spiritual teachers are the spiritual teachers is they're able to disconnect from the body more than somebody who had a very healthy like family life, and so we develop these talents because we had to manage energy at a very young age. We've had to be very be like, "What's that sound? I have to laser around this energy. I have to chameleon around this energy. You know, you're used to being highly sensitive and perceptive at a very young age, where you develop a talent for

Alex Ferrari 53:56
it to

Marisa Liza Pell 53:56
stay safe. So your intuition then gets used as a threat detector in your life, then it's for your own guidance. So I could tell you 5 million times around the sun what's going to happen, what's going on, what to do-all this great wisdom when it comes to like a decision I had to make. I couldn't access that for myself because all of that was disconnect. I was disconnected from my own inner GPS system.

Alex Ferrari 54:20
But was that intel is that intellectual wisdom or was that energy?

Marisa Liza Pell 54:24
Felt sense.

Alex Ferrari 54:24
No, no, no, no. Like when you're saying that you couldn't do it for me, that means that was the energy or the the teachings that you were teaching were on intellectual level, or there was still an energetic level too. But you just couldn't apply it for yourself.

Marisa Liza Pell 54:36
I was doing readings for 20 years, so I wasn't like doing spiritual teachings. I was, I was,

Alex Ferrari 54:41
but with a spiritual teacher, I mean, like in general, you know, like would they? So if they're if they're teaching something that's very, you know,

Marisa Liza Pell 54:48
they could channel it.

Alex Ferrari 54:49
They could channel. Oh

Marisa Liza Pell 54:50
yeah, because it's they're out. Their their gift is being out of the body. They're more comfortable out of the body. They're more comfortable in disconnection because being in the body is numbing for them. It's traumatic. It's it's painful. It brings them back to ground. It brings them back to all those emotions they don't want to experience. So most, I would say, 90% of the spiritual teachers, psychics, mediums that are huge, very gifted, have learned that talent at a really young age, and they're good at disconnecting from the body, numbing from the body, disconnecting from the body, and those talents serve a lot of people, but it's sad because their own life is important too.

Alex Ferrari 55:28
But of course, they have their own journey,

Marisa Liza Pell 55:30
right? But the the effects on the body, the effects on the mind, the effects on the spirit, I didn't realize till I stopped. In COVID, like when when COVID hit pandemic, I was doing live shows, big live shows all around the country, and most of my performances were live. And I was doing readings like every day. I was like full time, like family groups, you know, medium show, mediumship all the time. And it wasn't until I stopped when all the shows were shut down and production that I'm like, oh my god, I feel so much better. Like I didn't realize the toll it was taking because I was so disconnected from myself and my body. I couldn't. The first time I felt real love was when I had my daughter. I was able to because there was no threat. There was no pure love. She loved me, and I was the first time I was able to really be affectionate with somebody, really like, just it was just pure, you know, and like a

Alex Ferrari 56:27
puppy. Yeah, cats, you know, I love cats,

Marisa Liza Pell 56:31
but like I couldn't really connect on a deep level with people, or because you were

Alex Ferrari 56:37
so guarded.

Marisa Liza Pell 56:38
Yeah, my I could at it. I had a lot of friends, lots of friends, but I could only go so far. I couldn't like talk to them about my feelings. I couldn't like talk about going through repairs and ruptures and all that stuff. But I mean, I just lived in a life of anxiety and overwhelm and shutdown and fight or flight because I was constantly managing energy and being codependent. Like that's what it was.

Alex Ferrari 57:00
But it was it was your body in your mind. It was your mind doing basically protecting itself.

Marisa Liza Pell 57:07
It was protecting itself by the career I chose.

Alex Ferrari 57:10
Interesting. What do you mean?

Marisa Liza Pell 57:11
I chose that career because it was it's easier for me to be out of the body than in it. You don't

Alex Ferrari 57:16
focus on yourself. You focused on others.

Marisa Liza Pell 57:17
Most of the people that applied to work with me, what do you think their job is? Guess

Alex Ferrari 57:22
you mean like your clients, like people that you used to read for?

Marisa Liza Pell 57:25
If there's no, no, no, not the people that come for the somatic healing.

Alex Ferrari 57:29
Oh,

Marisa Liza Pell 57:29
what do you think that a common denominator of what they do based on their trauma? What do you think they do? Oh, what's their job?

Alex Ferrari 57:39
Creatives.

Marisa Liza Pell 57:40
Nurse.

Alex Ferrari 57:42
Oh, wow! Medical field. Oh, really?

Marisa Liza Pell 57:46
Do you know why a lot of people go into that high adrenaline field? Because they had alcoholic parents that they couldn't fix. I'm not saying everybody. Sure,

Alex Ferrari 57:56
of course.

Marisa Liza Pell 57:56
But a lot of people they want the the the spirit wants to believe now they can heal someone that they couldn't fix in their childhood.

Alex Ferrari 58:02
In any whatever that is, whatever that is. So

Marisa Liza Pell 58:04
I went into my career not because yeah, I'm sure that there was a point to it, but like all of it was trying to heal people and fix people. I mean, basically give them healing on on some level. But I wasn't healing myself.

Alex Ferrari 58:18
Interesting.

Marisa Liza Pell 58:19
And I had a very sad life, a very painful, anxious. But yet, I'm on a stage in front of 600 people, making them laugh. You couldn't. They're like, "Oh, you're so successful. You have so much going on for you. You're doing so well for yourself. And I'm like, I go home and I'm in a ball on the floor.

Alex Ferrari 58:34
I'll tell you what.

Marisa Liza Pell 58:35
You know what I mean?

Alex Ferrari 58:35
I'll tell you what. Look, I've I had the pleasure of working with throughout my career with a ton of stand-up comics.

Marisa Liza Pell 58:43
Oh yeah, that's that's another that's another

Alex Ferrari 58:46
ton of stand-up comics I worked with. Yeah, and some of them are dear friends, and I and I've spent a lot of time in clubs and with them, and and spent time off off stage with them, and the concept of the sad clown is absolutely accurate. I mean, some of the

Marisa Liza Pell 59:03
that's how they some

Alex Ferrari 59:04
I've worked with some of the biggest standups in the world. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 59:07
and and they're great people there, but they they they are carrying some stuff with them.

Marisa Liza Pell 59:12
Oh, they're a lot of different. I mean,

Alex Ferrari 59:14
carrying their they carry stuff, and but they'll go and I saw it. I'd be with them and I'd go on like a tour with them and I could see them before, then staged, then afterwards. I'm just like, how do you like? How do you live? Watch. They

Marisa Liza Pell 59:28
live in nervous system dysregulation. They live in states of overwhelm, high production, overproduction, and overwhelm, and then shutdown. And most people, most people live in this cycle right here. They overproduce because they-that's where their worth is. They overdo, they overwork, they over succeed, get so overwhelmed. The nervous system gets overwhelmed because it's beyond their capacity. They crash, they isolate, they-they shut off the world for a little while, rev the energy back up, and go through the whole cycle again.

Alex Ferrari 59:56
It's-it's fascinating because I would see there were some stand-ups that I that. Were called road dogs because they would just be on the road every weekend, no matter what. And they and they did not need the money,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:00:06
right?

Alex Ferrari 1:00:07
Like at all, they bought it

Marisa Liza Pell 1:00:08
out of themselves. They're they were

Alex Ferrari 1:00:10
they were making millions a year, and I would see like every every month every weekend they would be on the road somewhere, and they come back home for two or three days, and then boom, back on the road, and they would do this constantly. And I was wondering, I'm like, wow, they can't get off the high because it's a high being on stage. You know that

Marisa Liza Pell 1:00:28
it's a disconnect. Yeah, yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:00:29
It's a not only a disconnect, but it's a high. You get you get adrenaline. When I did the Ascension conference, and I was on stage, and I don't know where it came from, I became a stand-up. I was like, I was making everyone laugh. It was. I had a ball like after I got off the stage. On like what happens when you go? No, no, no. I was fine. No, I was completely cool. Yeah. Um. But it was a high. I get it. And I go, oh, I can see how people could get addicted to this. Yeah. Um. And then I told my wife we should do this every week, and she's like, no. Until

Marisa Liza Pell 1:00:57
you have an audience that doesn't that doesn't work for you, right?

Alex Ferrari 1:01:00
But but you know that scenario was like people who came because they loved you yeah they loved you and they love what you're doing and everything but a standup you never know what you're gonna do so it's a much more difficult thing but even

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:11
as a medium when I had shows where people were shooting for me you don't you don't know the energy of the crowd or the night and we used to assess the crowd by the psychic jokes the psychic jokes and when I like looked out, I'm like, "Oh, nobody's laughing at that one. It's going to be a tough night. You know, you just know that like, there's people going to complain no matter what you do,

Alex Ferrari 1:01:28
right?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:29
You know. Oh, I know. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:01:32
I know. People think I, my, I'm going to say. Yeah, people don't.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:35
You know, say it. Say it. No, people

Alex Ferrari 1:01:36
don't like my laugh.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:38
What? I

Alex Ferrari 1:01:38
don't understand it. It's the insane thing. People like he laughs too much. He's always smiling. You're too happy in this

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:44
industry. You're too happy. I'm too

Alex Ferrari 1:01:46
happy. Your laugh is fake. I'm like fake. Fake.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:01:50
No, that's the thing. I could I could vouch for this. I talk to you outside of here. I'm not not trying to laugh either. No, I talk to you outside here a lot. Yeah, we we've been

Alex Ferrari 1:02:00
together for for a long time now, working on these shows, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:02:03
And you're actually even more like crazy and funny outside, like like you're like a little bit. I'm poor composed. I'm a little bit more composed. Yeah, but you are like I don't know, like why, like we're not spirituality is humor. It's a sense of humor. It's you're supposed to have fun. You're supposed to laugh. You're supposed to enjoy life. That's

Alex Ferrari 1:02:21
the one of the highest vibrations. Yes, like it's one of your highest. It's one of the highest vibrations is laughter and yeah, and being in in happy and

Marisa Liza Pell 1:02:28
but who you know somebody is going to say that about you is somebody who can't who who isn't having fun.

Alex Ferrari 1:02:35
Yeah, or does or but why

Marisa Liza Pell 1:02:36
do why do people even feel the need to feel like they have to go and write that about you. What I find

Alex Ferrari 1:02:42
fascinating. Let's get on a let's get on a rant. Yeah, yeah. Okay, go ahead. What I find fascinating is that you know you know I I don't read all the comments, but I I glance at them every once in a while. I'm sure you do. I do look at the comments every once in a while, and I find it fascinating. Like some of the like the negative ones are hilarious. I think they're they're great because they're so out there. I'm like, wow. I mean, fantastic. Some of them are sharp, but really well written stuff. Yeah. But I'm going. Why are you here? Yeah. If you're watching this, that means there's a curiosity, or you're just a troll. And if you just want a troll, God bless. Do what you want to do. Fine. But if you're here and you're watching this and you just like you know what these people are crazy they're talking about the devil's work or they're doing this and why are you here? Because I don't go to other people's sites that I don't agree with on on any anything else and just write negative, like you know you don't go to a racist YouTube channel. I'm like I can't believe you people are doing this kind of stuff. Like

Marisa Liza Pell 1:03:39
yeah, I'm not gonna go to like a bocce ball like YouTube channel and be like, oh, you guys are just why are you doing that with the balls? Like I'm not gonna like that. Just was a weird example. Well, yeah, like a

Alex Ferrari 1:03:50
pickleball. They like pickleball. It's not real, and this sucks. Like it's like I'm not. Why am I gonna do that?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:03:55
Want to believe? By the

Alex Ferrari 1:03:56
way, I do like pickleball. I haven't played it, but I want to believe they

Marisa Liza Pell 1:03:59
want to. They really have, they're really lost, and they really want to, but their like nervous system and the like something won't allow them. So, oh, the best, and it's it's such it's so annoying, is that when people start to like one little thing doesn't see like seems like you say something. Oh, it's a scam. It's a scam. Everything's a scam. Well, but but I

Alex Ferrari 1:04:19
understand why people do that because they have so abused. They've been so abused, and there's so much of that going around that people. I get it. Oh, I get it. But people just

Marisa Liza Pell 1:04:28
use it too freely. Like it's just like everything's a scam. Like everything. Like oh, I can't like sign out of something. It's a scam. You know. Like no. Like just go look in the settings. It's there. Like like any any any in this industry, it's any excuse to use the word scam. It's so annoying.

Alex Ferrari 1:04:46
Yeah, because there's been so so many bad players over the years.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:04:49
Yeah, but that's not my fault. It's not your fault. No,

Alex Ferrari 1:04:51
no, no. I get it. You're

Marisa Liza Pell 1:04:52
a scam because you laugh too much. I

Alex Ferrari 1:04:54
laugh too much. So that means that

Marisa Liza Pell 1:04:56
you are fake.

Alex Ferrari 1:04:56
I'm fake. I'm and you are Joker. There's no way. I could be this happy. I like.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:05:01
I don't. I'm not. I'm not trying to be out here to impress anyone. I. I don't care. I'm not. I'm gonna say what I'm gonna say and like whatever, like because I'm not trying to advance my career right now. I'm not trying to, like, I'm not trying to do anything. I'm just being like, this is the way it is. This is what I believe, and I'm okay with it today. Before I was like, well, can I say that? Can I say this? How do I come across? How are people going to see me? Like, I don't care.

Alex Ferrari 1:05:25
Let me ask you a question. I'm going to ask because this isn't. It's on the topic of this. Yeah. I, you know, one of the things every once in a while we'll get comments about, like, because I refer to what we do, like what psychics and mediums and channels do sometimes, as the craziness or the insanity of like what happens to you, and they get upset. They're like, I can't. Can you use another word? They get triggered by it, and I find it fascinating because I'd say it in a very loving, humorous way. There's never been one guest who's been offended by it because it's just fun. When I'm like, when you hear people talking to you in your head,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:05:58
yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:05:58
it's crazy. It sounds crazy. It sounds insane, and we have to talk about it like that because it isn't like something that happens to everybody. So, what is your take on why people go down that road? Like they can't because it's humorous. I'm trying to bring humor to this because if I can't say, Marissa, look, you talk to fricking dead people.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:06:21
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:06:22
that's not that's crazy. What did you think the first time you saw Uncle Bob walk in the room? Kind of thing. What's your take on that? Why do you think people get so like bent out of shape? Not everybody, by the way. This is a very small percentage, but I find it a fascinating one because they know I'm, and they've even said, "I know you're saying it with humor, and I know you're doing it with love, but can you find another? I'm just-is it a triggering thing for them? I guess I don't

Marisa Liza Pell 1:06:46
even understand what you're asking me.

Alex Ferrari 1:06:47
You because people don't like what people don't like. I use those words.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:06:52
This has been such a working part of my life, even before I knew what I was doing. That it's not anything different. It's not like I'm just normal person walking around. All of a sudden, I hear a voice. It just-it's not Hollywood. It doesn't work that way.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:02
You're not Whoopi Goldberg. No, it's not. I hear somebody

Marisa Liza Pell 1:07:06
singing. I'm like, no. It's like it's always been a working part of my life.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:10
But you understand my the the understanding of someone who hasn't had that their entire life that it's not. I think everybody

Marisa Liza Pell 1:07:16
has these things happen.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:17
Yes, but that opened it up as much as you two are. But I think people

Marisa Liza Pell 1:07:21
think it's that dramatic, and it's not.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:24
Fair enough.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:07:24
But some people, everybody's mediumship is different. Okay. Yeah. So some people have a smell, like some people do. The Claires. No, the Claire's.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:32
Yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:07:33
And they're like, "Well, I'm not a medium, but I could smell my my uncle's aftershave, or I could smell the. I'm like, "No, that is a form of mediumship. It's just your form, you know. I don't like get people static, like seeing them as a as a visual. Say dead people. I don't, but some people do, and they're muted, so they don't they don't hear. But I get it as an informational channel. I get I get everybody's is different, but it doesn't mean it's wrong.

Alex Ferrari 1:08:02
No, no. But my point is, my my question is, why do you think people are triggered by me using the word crazy or insane?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:07
It's because a lot of people that watch your show have been children that have been experience have experienced things,

Alex Ferrari 1:08:15
sure,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:15
and they were told by adults that they were crazy, or that didn't happen, or so they were invalidated at a very young age. So the pattern is that their subconscious. Any time they feel invalidated or thought of as crazy, they're going to get triggered. That's it.

Alex Ferrari 1:08:32
Makes absolutely all the sense in the world.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:34
And it's this is sensitivity because

Alex Ferrari 1:08:37
I get

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:37
it. You know, I get it. My own mother like would not come see a show for eight years. She thought she went to see Priest. She's like my daughter. Like I came home one day,

Alex Ferrari 1:08:46
exorcist.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:47
I came home one day. This is in high school. Came home one day, and I used to love going to this bookstore. They had Chris. They had crystals, and they had books. Yeah, it's

Alex Ferrari 1:08:55
like an occult book section. Yeah, and I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:08:56
loved like reading like Brian Weiss and the Reincarnations. I just enjoyed it. Yeah, I come home one day. Like I, I was driving at the time, and there is a one of those big barrels, and it's on fire in the in the driveway. It's all my books, all my cards, everything is on fire. She lit everything on fire in the driveway. Went to see the priest. She, I mean, it took her eight years. I was doing shows, and I needed a ride because I couldn't drive there, and she stood like there's the door over here. She stood with the door propped open, and a chair there because she didn't know what was going to happen in the room. And she'll tell this story like to the day. There was a person I guess who came in, and they their chair was against the wall, and they had a jacket on their chair, but no one could see it because it was against the law. It was like a NASCAR. It was dad, her dad's NASCAR

Alex Ferrari 1:09:44
favorite NASCAR. Yeah, with a number on the back.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:09:47
Yeah, and it came through with the number, and she pulls it back from the thing, turns it out. My mom ran like she ran out, like she just ran, and then she's like, she saw how much it meant to this woman. She saw how. How healing it was. She saw that people crying. She saw people being like having healing moments, and from that point on, she's like, "Wow, this is the most amazing thing. But it took her eight years of like, not we want to talk to me about what I did, and then she started being a big supporter after that. But yeah, people have it in their mind. They have certain things in their mind about this stuff,

Alex Ferrari 1:10:23
and the reason, yeah, because of the because of her programming, because your mom's programming over the years, she couldn't wrap her head around this because she's been told that this was evil or bad. Oh, I don't

Marisa Liza Pell 1:10:34
think she. Well, grow Catholic.

Alex Ferrari 1:10:36
Oh, well, there it is. Yeah, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:10:37
But my spiritual experiences that I had, especially the one I had when I was 14, had was a religious experience. It wasn't like,

Alex Ferrari 1:10:43
and she was on she was on board with it.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:10:45
I don't think she ever really talked to me about it, but it was a religious experience after I got confirmed. So it's connected to my faith. What was your?

Alex Ferrari 1:10:58
By the way, what was your confirmation name? Do you remember?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:11:00
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:11:01
What's your comfort? Because I have a confirmation name. What's

Marisa Liza Pell 1:11:03
yours?

Alex Ferrari 1:11:04
No, no. You have to tell me yours first,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:11:05
Christina.

Alex Ferrari 1:11:07
Yeah. Lightweight. So what I did, I was, I was at this point in when I was, I think it was middle school, right? So eighth grade or something like that when we confirmed, like 14 or something, and I was already, I didn't buy anything that they were selling, so I was already out. Like I just, it was like this makes no sense to me. I don't care. So then I was like, well, they go, well, you get to choose your confirmation name. I'm like, I do. I'm like, yes. I'm like, does the priest have to read this out loud to everybody? They're like, yes. I'm like,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:11:39
oh my god, what'd you do?

Alex Ferrari 1:11:41
So, and my friends were like, "You won't do it. There's no way you were going to give this name to them to read. Like, hold my beer. I don't drink beer, but hold, hold my soda

Marisa Liza Pell 1:11:53
at the time. At the time,

Alex Ferrari 1:11:55
hold my soda, and we're there in confirmation, and all of a sudden, you know, Jenny, blah blah blah, and you know David, and then goes Alex, and you see the guy pause, and I knew the priest, and the priest knew me, and he's like, and you could see like the like cursing underneath his breath, Bartholomew Humperdink,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:12:22
you didn't.

Alex Ferrari 1:12:23
Bartholomew Humperdink is my confirmation. Bartholomew Humperdink

Marisa Liza Pell 1:12:27
is my confirmation, and he made him read it. Oh,

Alex Ferrari 1:12:30
out loud! And the entire church was like, "I gained legendary status in eighth grade. At that point, I mean,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:12:39
that should be your life's work, right there. You should just give. You know, we should give back to your fans in the comments. You should give them their confirmation names.

Alex Ferrari 1:12:47
Oh, everybody in the comments, what you need a confirmation. If you need a confirmation, I want the most entertaining confirmation names ever. Please let's let's start listing off the list the best confirmation names you can get. I think you

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:02
should give people their confirmation names.

Alex Ferrari 1:13:04
I don't have the time to give everybody their confirmation name, unfortunately. But if you leave a few in there, I might go in and give you a couple. Well,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:12
the person, I mean, your fans are a little skewed, a little older than 14. Yes. Yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So if there's a few in there, I mean, you might have one or two.

Alex Ferrari 1:13:20
Absolutely, absolutely, but yeah, Bartholomew Humper Dickens, and they could say, "Oh, it

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:23
was Alex Ferrari that gave him a cover. You could still get priests to for all for all for all the Catholics for all the

Alex Ferrari 1:13:32
Catholics are out there. I'm still

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:34
Catholic today. I'm not a recovering Catholic. I'm still Catholic. Okay, still Roman Catholic.

Alex Ferrari 1:13:39
Really? So you go to church still? I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:40
still not every Sunday, but I still go and I still like because my religious, my spiritual experience was religious, and that's when these gifts got activated.

Alex Ferrari 1:13:49
Well, let me let's dig into that just for a slight second because I have another friend of mine, Julie.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:13:54
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:13:54
she's she calls herself a cafeteria Catholic. She comes and grabs things when she needs them, and but she goes to church every Sunday.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:01
Yeah, I don't. I know, but she's disciplined. But yeah, but she

Alex Ferrari 1:14:03
goes, and and I'm like, but you don't believe in anything they're teaching. Like I don't understand why you're there. She's like, oh, it's the energy of the room, and and I. She goes, I can see energy flowing through the the priest and coming out, regardless of what there is something going on, and there's just the group praying and everything. There's a power in a congregation, that's not

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:22
really what I'm there for. But I no no, but that's her point. Yeah. So

Alex Ferrari 1:14:25
because again, you don't. I'm assuming you don't buy a lot of the dogma.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:29
Right. Right. No. It's more about the Catholic mystics that I'm. So you're more into like

Alex Ferrari 1:14:34
the Gnostics and

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:35
no, no, no, like Padre Pio and Saint Teresa and you know like

Alex Ferrari 1:14:38
Francis.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:39
Yeah. Yeah, and like the things that I saw in my vision, I mean, it was the reason I have these abilities and why I'm on this path is because of that experience. So it

Alex Ferrari 1:14:49
was the Christian mystics that that really drew you in and kept you in. I mean,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:14:53
I wouldn't say they drew me in when I was 14 and I had this experience. Like I did see Jesus, like I did have. Experience, and I saw Franciscan monk. I mean, I don't know. Still to this day, I can't tell you if it was near death or if it was if was just a experience. But like, I woke up as a 14 year old kid and being like, I want to go home. And I mean, I saw like I saw things on the other side, yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:15:21
No, so you had like a full blown kind of almost awakening.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:15:24
It was well. I had a I had a light go through my chest and go through my whole body and go into complete euphoria. Yes, and when I got back from Next Level Soul in October,

Alex Ferrari 1:15:34
something

Marisa Liza Pell 1:15:34
I had a four day euphoric experience. The light going into my chest. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:15:38
that must have been intense.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:15:39
Well, it God answered a 10-year prayer, yeah, because none of none of this stuff is just for me, of course. To take it and help other people, but like when you tell the universe, put me through it, get ready because it will. But you're gonna get the rewards if you if you stretch yourself and you take right now is a time in the universe to take big leaps and to take big risks for your dreams and your big mission. Like, stay out of the comfort zone is what I would say to people: is the more out of your comfort zone you are, the more rewards you will reap, and the more you're going to help humanity. And that's for you, really specifically. I'm talking to you. Me personally, yes. Tell

Alex Ferrari 1:16:23
me again. I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:26
think you need to do a little stretching.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:28
Oh, I'm stretching.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:29
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:16:30
I'm stretching more now than I've ever stretched in my life.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:32
More creative stuff that you want to do.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:33
Oh, I see what you mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, because your

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:36
creativity is what's going to open up all that body stuff that's going on. That's what's going to heal that.

Alex Ferrari 1:16:42
Well, I mean, mastery was the first kind of.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:44
Yeah, it's still connected to your work and what you're doing, but there's that little boy dreams and goals that you have in there. Oh, you mean like

Alex Ferrari 1:16:51
to do a Star Wars movie one day, or you know? And

Marisa Liza Pell 1:16:55
there's still stuff that that you need to push through that has to happen in the next seven months. And there's a California reference,

Alex Ferrari 1:17:02
okay.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:17:02
And I told you Portugal. All right. Well, all right. Before we get into, oh, sorry, just before before

Alex Ferrari 1:17:07
we get into that. No, we don't

Marisa Liza Pell 1:17:07
need to get into it. I'm just tell I'm just telling you that part of your mission is what the things that I'm doing, the things that are people are going through. If you stay comfortable right now, you're going to be real uncomfortable. So your comfort zone is going to be real uncomfortable. If

Alex Ferrari 1:17:24
you stay, if you if you're comfortable right now, if you stay in the comfort, you're going to be real uncomfortable in the

Marisa Liza Pell 1:17:28
next seven years. Yeah, this seven year cycle is risk taking, launching, taking big leaps and strides in your life to help humanity. That's that's really it's about making an impact in the world. We have to do that within ourselves in order to bring it to the world. Every single person is responsible, and if people still sit there and they're just on the internet making comments, being like the world sucks and all these things are horrible, and let me talk about politics and let me rant and rave and complain, you're not helping the world. In my community, nobody gets to talk about that stuff. They can't because we need. You have to have a space where you get in the helicopter for a little bit so you can see clearly and can make your decisions. You go back into the world any time and see what's going on and engage in negativity, engage in comments and political inscriptions. Very easy, right? So people are like, "Well, you're you know you won't let us talk about all this. I'm like, "No, because you have to have a space where you don't have any of this energy. There has to be a clean energy where you can feel safe and it's clear. Because your intuition right now is not about giving readings; it's about guiding yourself. And there's an intuition which is external and an intuition which is internal. It's in the solar plexus. It's a felt sense. It's in your body, and if you're disconnected from your body, you don't feel anything's going on your body. You can't feel that, which is a true intuition for the GPS system that needs to turn on, and that's intuition and movement. It's not static intuition. We talk about that in the master class. But I see something with film over there for you.

Alex Ferrari 1:19:00
You know, it's it's very interesting because people have been asking me for years on the show, like, when are you gonna start? You know, like it's easy, like, yeah, when are you gonna start making movies or shows or things like that? And I've been very kind of like dipping my toe in all of it, and because it's it's something that I'm you've work you've been working with me now, so you understand. You know, I was working with you and directing you in in what we were doing yesterday with the course, and I'm very particular about how I want to do things, and I want to do things at a very high level. So whenever I go into a project, it has to be at a certain quality level, or I'm just not going to do it.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:19:36
Yeah, yeah, I get it.

Alex Ferrari 1:19:37
So I've been dipping my toes. So mastery was a huge leap for me,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:19:42
which by let me just say, it's like I saw some of the other other like just little trailers, yeah. And I first let's just talk about like obviously you have expertise in knowing channels and that kind of thing, but like his editing skills, like I went to I went to. Most people don't know this, but I went to graduates. I have a master's degree in film and tele and television. Most people don't know that, so I have a a love for editing and the arts and film and all that stuff. And your editing skills, oh, beautiful! I appreciate that. So, like all the colors, everything's cohesive. Everything's done so well. You're not going to see that on a lot of other networks where it's just like Zoom calls or whatever, like you put so much time and effort into your art that like people need to see that and appreciate like the other work you do, which is all the art. Like you as an artist, I don't think people know about that. I think they see Next Level Soul and they probably think other people do this, but you

Alex Ferrari 1:20:38
do it. No, I do most of it. I mean, it's beautiful. I well, I appreciate that very much. And you're

Marisa Liza Pell 1:20:44
highlighting all of these teachers, these spiritual teachers. It's so beautiful, like how you're highlighting people that are doing these master classes, and you're you're not just like taking whoever's coming and wants to do it. Like you're putting together a group of people that are really going to serve your audience. That's

Alex Ferrari 1:21:01
what we're trying to do, and I appreciate, by the way, and it's very respectful.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:21:04
It's very, it's very good.

Alex Ferrari 1:21:05
Well, I appreciate that very much. I respect those kind words. Yeah, I mean, a lot of people think that we know this massive giant corporation. It's just my wife and I, and you guys, and in a beautiful team that we've put together to do certain things. But I'm not editing these because I don't have time to edit these these these anymore. But but the mastery classes, all the trailers are cut by me, and the website's done by me. Yeah, the graphics are done by me. It's like it's it's a lot of stuff that I I need to let go of. The

Marisa Liza Pell 1:21:35
transitions, the music, the the graphics, the B roll, everything

Alex Ferrari 1:21:42
is is beautiful. I appreciate that. So people

Marisa Liza Pell 1:21:44
watch that and they probably think like you just pay people to do this, but it's it's you.

Alex Ferrari 1:21:48
Well, you know what? It was funny when I was when we were putting mastery together, and then we'll go into mastery. When we're going when we're talking about mastery, putting together mastery, I wanted to do something that hadn't been done before. So in the way that I never seen the esoteric ideas be presented with real respect, real true respect, and I wanted to highlight these these wonderful teachers that we have on in mastery and present their work in a way that hasn't been presented before. So when you have a psychic abilities course or a mediumship course, or astrotherapy course, or things like that-that you don't nothing like that exists in the world. So I wanted to do that, but then so we put it together, and then I hired. We have a great producing and and post team that's putting together the editing and the graphics and all that stuff, and I'm overseeing all of it, but when it came to the trailers, um, I was like, "Who am I going to hire for this? I'm like, you know what? Let me let me just try one, and it opened up something in me that I'd forgotten about because I hadn't cut trailers in years, years ago. Let that lead

Marisa Liza Pell 1:22:58
you.

Alex Ferrari 1:22:58
And when I opened that door up, I was like, because I got my start as a as a commercial editor and a promo editor. That's when I was a kid. Yeah. So I've forgotten the feeling I got. Now I love like I do. I'm doing all the promos for all the mastery classes because I have to because I first of all it's very difficult to hire someone to do it because they don't have to understand the concepts and all that stuff. But but now I enjoy it. I I love it, and I could do them. And it's it opened up doors. I was like, oh shoot, I gotta go do this now. Okay, now so it's it's like the universe is opening certain little steps for me to take. So that's

Marisa Liza Pell 1:23:32
what you have to pay attention to because that's the answer. That how does that feel in your body when you?

Alex Ferrari 1:23:38
Oh, I feel when I feel fantastic when I'm doing that stuff, that's or on set. Yes, did you see me? Like

Marisa Liza Pell 1:23:43
that's your intuition. That's your second intuition opening. Is the felt sense in the body is the truth. And if you are disconnected from that and only into the external intuition, you will not feel that because you will not have access to it. So the universe is saying this is the answer to your question. You need to follow this. So sometimes people are like, "Well, if it doesn't make me money, it's not a side hustle. Like I'm not going to do right. Most of the things that led me to the greatest times in my life and to the greatest successes, even like were the things I started and I had no interest in making money with them. Like it was just like I did it for the joy of doing it. So something's trying to tell you something with that, and you need to follow that and put more of that energy into your life.

Alex Ferrari 1:24:32
We are we are doing that. I'm shooting. I mean, we just shot a course. I have another course coming. Another teacher coming in this weekend. We're shooting

Marisa Liza Pell 1:24:39
Lobos. What's that?

Alex Ferrari 1:24:40
Lost Lobos.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:24:40
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:24:42
Why did you say Los Lobos? I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:24:43
don't know. Los Lobos

Alex Ferrari 1:24:44
is a a Mexican band.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:24:48
Well, I don't know. They

Alex Ferrari 1:24:49
they sung La Bamba back in 86. Like

Marisa Liza Pell 1:24:52
somebody just told me to say that to you.

Alex Ferrari 1:24:54
Los Los Lobos. I mean, I mean, I I enjoy their music, but I'm not a huge fan of them. But I mean, like.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:00
Some connection.

Alex Ferrari 1:25:01
Con los lobos.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:02
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:25:03
Hey.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:04
Yes, con los lobos.

Alex Ferrari 1:25:05
Hey man, i i I love the guys. I mean, I love their music.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:09
Just remember, I said it.

Alex Ferrari 1:25:10
All right, los. I'm gonna call you like you won't believe. I was just hanging out at this coffee joint, and Los Lobos walked in. There's

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:18
like Steven in your life. Do you have a Steve

Alex Ferrari 1:25:20
Spielberg, no, I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:23
feel like there's going to be like some like I I get a sense because it came throughout the whole interview and I'm like, wait, I'm gonna wait, I'm gonna wait. So there's I feel like this is a California reference, and I feel like it's somebody business related that's alive between the ages of 52 to 59, and I feel like he might be presenting something to you, which you might not like initially. Be like, I don't, I don't want it. This is this. But this is

Alex Ferrari 1:25:52
like a big person, like someone we would all know.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:25:55
No, no, no. It could just be someone that you, somebody in business. Oh no, it's a business. Like

Alex Ferrari 1:26:00
not maybe not film business just business.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:02
I don't know. It's it feels more like a project.

Alex Ferrari 1:26:06
Oh, okay.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:07
And I feel you really should consider it because you might not want to.

Alex Ferrari 1:26:12
All right, when it comes in, the first

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:13
or last name or some variation. Yeah. All

Alex Ferrari 1:26:15
right, I'll. But

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:16
it's ink. It's a California reference.

Alex Ferrari 1:26:19
Yeah, I don't think. I mean, I mean, and

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:21
not LA,

Alex Ferrari 1:26:22
and not LA.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:23
No, and there's a connection in 1972 with this person too. So you just just write these things down, or just oh wow,

Alex Ferrari 1:26:30
okay. I wasn't born yet, so

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:32
no, with this person, there's something significant with him in 1972. Like maybe he had a big, some sort of big career thing in 1972. I don't. Well, if there

Alex Ferrari 1:26:43
were 19, he wouldn't be 59. I don't know. I just, I just get

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:46
1972.

Alex Ferrari 1:26:47
Okay. All right. Well. Yeah. You know, it's always been like there's there's a handful of people that I've been dying to get on the show, and I want to have a conversation with about. He won't be on

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:57
the show.

Alex Ferrari 1:26:58
No, no, I understand.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:26:58
Yeah, I understand. He's like a business person. No, no, no. I'm talking, but that's on

Alex Ferrari 1:27:02
a separate standpoint. Yeah. But someone like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, James Cameron, and a handful of others that I would like. But they're like,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:27:15
yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:27:15
like people I would love to just sit down and have a deep conversation with because they're people who shape my my career and my life in many ways, so yeah, it's it's fascinating. I've heard so many because I talk to so many psychics and I hear so many different things, and I always I always because you know people offer me these these information and I'm like okay and I pack it in my back of my head and then when I hear four or five people. It's like say the same thing. I'm like, all right, I gotta pay attention to that one. I gotta pay attention to that

Marisa Liza Pell 1:27:46
one. These these you just want to write these down because you won't remember them. Well, yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:27:50
it's being recorded, so we're good. I know, but you're not gonna be like,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:27:52
oh, let me go to like 145 on this date and remember what she said. I just write it all down now because then you have

Alex Ferrari 1:28:00
it. All right, because

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:01
this hasn't happened yet. So no, and when

Alex Ferrari 1:28:03
is the thing? When do you think is happening? A year, two years,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:05
six to nine months.

Alex Ferrari 1:28:07
Oh, this year,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:08
I think so. I'm not good with timing though. Give or take within

Alex Ferrari 1:28:11
12 months.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:12
Yeah, I think so. I could usually feel like if it's further out or closer, but I just feel like you've been working on your own for so long that like being a part of like a team project or doing something like that might be like I'm a I don't know like oh

Alex Ferrari 1:28:25
I'm a lone wolf yeah so this I mean I'm a lone wolf with a beautiful team but yeah but but this

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:29
this wouldn't be like a lone wolf project and so that's why you'd be like I don't I don't know I

Alex Ferrari 1:28:35
don't want do I want to go play in that sandbox

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:37
yeah because it would definitely take you away from what you're doing like now

Alex Ferrari 1:28:41
that's the thing, though. Like, like let's say, if some, if tomorrow Stephen shows up and goes, "I want you to do this this show with me, what would you

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:49
do? That's the question. Can you imagine?

Alex Ferrari 1:28:54
I mean, yes, I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:28:55
can. So it leaps.

Alex Ferrari 1:28:57
So, like, let's say something like that presents itself to me, and this, I think, is a good lesson for everybody involved. If something like that is presented, if if there if there's something like that is presented to you, it's either one of two things: it's one, the path you should be taking, or two, it's a test to see if it if you're still holding on to old stuff.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:29:14
Correct.

Alex Ferrari 1:29:15
It's one of those two things. I if any of that would present itself, I don't think I would. It wouldn't be like something I would um be holding on to. I think it'd be like, hey, are you are you ready? Here's the shot. Do you want to do it? But like, if tomorrow Marvel shows up and like, hey, you want to do an Avengers movie? I'd be like, absolutely not. It's not in

Marisa Liza Pell 1:29:35
no no no no no like that. No, no. But not that I would even be

Alex Ferrari 1:29:37
in the conversation. I'm just saying the stupidity of it. But um, but if a project of that magnet, I wouldn't be interested. But if someone that I respected shows up and go, hey, can you would you be interested in doing something like this? But come at it from your perspective, it'd be an interesting conversation. But I don't know if I could leave what I'm doing for six months.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:29:56
Comfort versus

Alex Ferrari 1:29:57
no, no, I don't know. Literally, I don't know if I could leave. Doing this for six months.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:30:01
What's happening right now?

Alex Ferrari 1:30:02
Tell me. Yeah, your

Marisa Liza Pell 1:30:04
nervous system is triggering.

Alex Ferrari 1:30:05
It absolutely is. I'm already getting a little. I'm getting a little some some coming up while we're doing this. This is

Marisa Liza Pell 1:30:12
good. This is an exercise showing you where your capacity is to even imagine that.

Alex Ferrari 1:30:16
Well, because I've been burned so many times.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:30:18
Protection coming up right now.

Alex Ferrari 1:30:20
I've been burned so many times by by Hollywood and by all that kind of stuff. That and if anything showed up like that, it would have to be through somebody that I just. Your eyes are changing, your speech is changing, you're talking fast. That means to me, we've hit we've hit the electric fence just by talking about it. Okay, so imagine we need to work this out. What we need to do. Thank you, everybody, for watching this therapy session with me. This

Marisa Liza Pell 1:30:43
is what we need to coach on the resistance. This is where the somatic expansion work is absolutely necessary because we're you're like even thinking about embodying that, and it's already your protectors are like, no, you've already been down this road. They're going to start telling you stories.

Alex Ferrari 1:31:00
I'm I'm literally feeling like I'm feeling a little sick in my stomach right now. Yeah, like I'm feel I feel like energy is coming up. Like it's it's weird. I'm this is fascinating to like go through this. We'll take

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:10
you through an exercise to stop that.

Alex Ferrari 1:31:12
Let's let's do. I think everybody should go through this exercise with me. Let's do it. Let's do it. Okay,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:17
you're gonna sound like a cow a little bit.

Alex Ferrari 1:31:20
I've sounded worse,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:21
so I want you to pay attention how you feel right now. You feel a little anxious. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:31:25
it's it's hilarious. I mean, I wanted people to understand. We're just talking about what ifs that are so out there in my because it's like lottery ticket. Like you know, if Steven Spielberg comes in and gives you an offer to make a movie or show,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:38
yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:31:39
that is literally a lottery ticket. Not not every human being on the planet gets it, and there's only hundreds, if not a few hundreds, of of people in the world that have ever gotten that. So now

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:48
your nervous system is saying, "Well, there's not really a chance.

Alex Ferrari 1:31:50
Oh no, no, no! I've been I've been close. Like, do you understand? I went on Stephen's reality show called On the Lot back in the day. So

Marisa Liza Pell 1:31:57
now we're talking about Stephen.

Alex Ferrari 1:31:59
Yeah, because I'm using that as an example. Yeah, yeah, but I'm going to talk about Stephen. Yeah. So I almost got, and for people who don't know, and this is old school stuff. I got to the top 25 of Project Greenlight in season two. Then I interviewed Chris, Chris Moore, the producer. I'm like, why didn't I get in? And I was in the actual opening credits of season two, and I was on HBO, and everything was super exciting. But I didn't get in. Then on the lot, which was a show one season that Mark Burnett and Steven Spielberg put together about finding the next great director, I was flown out. I got to the very end of it, didn't make it through. So I have no doubt that that could happen because I was close a few times.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:32:38
Right.

Alex Ferrari 1:32:38
But I know you're like laughing. You're like, this is hilarious to watch this just me unravel in front of you, everybody. I'm no, I'm like going crazy. This is

Marisa Liza Pell 1:32:47
what I do, right? And you understand. I noticed

Alex Ferrari 1:32:49
my voice changing. I noticed the tempo of my voice changing right now. My energy is very like out like that. Now I'm my defenses are up. I'm actually really analyzing myself as I'm talking right now because I'm I'm I'm terrified. I'm scared of

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:03
it. Yeah, yeah. It's

Alex Ferrari 1:33:03
it's really interesting.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:05
Just think, you're just imagining it. I'm just imagining

Alex Ferrari 1:33:08
it. I'm just imagining the idea, the potential of something like that happening, and I'm already like defensive. So this is a great lesson for everybody watching. That is like when an opportunity presents itself, and you're not capable of holding it. That could be a relationship. That could be a job. That could be a career move. That could be your body. All that kind of stuff. Whatever it is, if you can't hold the energy for it, it'll it'll go.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:33
Yeah, a lot of people. I don't. I I don't know if I've talked to you about this last time, but I don't like the word self sabotage.

Alex Ferrari 1:33:39
Right.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:39
I don't believe in it because it's self-shaming. Yeah, and

Alex Ferrari 1:33:43
agreed.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:44
It's like just no, you don't have the capacity. You have limited capacity for

Alex Ferrari 1:33:48
it,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:48
and that it's not like you're doing this to yourself so that you don't have your dreams happen or whatever. No,

Alex Ferrari 1:33:53
of course not.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:33:53
Yeah, but your your nervous system, like this, is where I push people to show them this is even just imagining that, so people are like, "Well, what's, what's my highest level path? Well, if I told you, you would freak out because it like if I told you what your highest level path is, that your nervous system cannot even comprehend the possibility of it.

Alex Ferrari 1:34:11
So, can I tell you what my spiritual teacher told me, Connie?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:34:15
Yes,

Alex Ferrari 1:34:15
yes, Connie,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:34:16
yes,

Alex Ferrari 1:34:16
92 year old Connie, who's still still feisty as ever, Connie. When she brought this in, she knew everything you're saying, and she know, and she still doesn't tell me everything. She'll tell me you got to open up a spiritual podcast, and I'm like, what? If she would have told me this, I would have never been able to hold the idea, ever. She's like, if I would tell you, your head would explode. So she piecemeals me as I'm ready, as my capacity grows, she pieces milled me, and now she'll stretch me just a little bit farther, and just a little bit farther, and just a little bit farther. And I'm getting to a place now where I'm like, listen, I think I'm ready. I mean, I've been told everything. I can see where where we're going, and hopefully, what we'll be able to do in the world, all of that. And she's like, nope, you're not you're not there yet. I can't tell you every. Because if I tell you everything that's going to happen to you, you're you won't do it. Not only will you won't do it, your your nervous system will start to fry because you won't be able to grasp it. Right. So now going through this, that all makes so much sense because I just didn't have you

Marisa Liza Pell 1:35:15
embodied it.

Alex Ferrari 1:35:15
I couldn't have the capacity for it. I just didn't have the the ability to hold on to that idea, so just merely saying that Steven Spielberg is going to call me one day because he's a fan of the show, and and it's like, hey man, I want to do this, I want to do a show with you. I it's so mind boggling to me. I can't even I can't hold on, and I'm anxious about it. And it's we're having a conversation. That's how powerful this is. So let's open up the capacity within myself to accept any of that kind of information, that kind of opportunity, whatever that might be, if it comes to me in the future. Because when it does come to me, I want to be prepared for it. If it does, to make a real a real decision that how can I serve humanity better? Because it's not going to be about me. It has to be how can I help humanity? Because it's I really don't care about me. I want to help people. So if this project, I just need to open up. Right. So how do we do? I

Marisa Liza Pell 1:36:05
want to say one thing about this this work. Right. When you get there, a lot of people want the guarantee of what they're going to jump into.

Alex Ferrari 1:36:13
No, no.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:36:13
So no, no, no, no. I'm saying when I do this work with everybody, they're like, "Wait, I have to jump off the high dive, and I'm standing here, and like I just did this with with Jackie, who you met. Her dream job came up for her. She's been with another job 18 years, and I'm like, it's coming around. The merry ground keeps coming around. Came up every five years, right? And she's like, I feel like I'm standing on a high dive, and you're asking me to jump, and I can't do it. I'm like, yeah, because you're looking at safety versus, I you don't the unfamiliar road to the nervous system. It doesn't matter if it's the dream job or something. It doesn't know the difference between good and bad, and so you're going, you're jumping into the unfamiliar nervous system. Doesn't like unfamiliar.

Alex Ferrari 1:36:54
Yes,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:36:55
because at least if there's a pathway of dark force, at least you know when the the dog's going to jump out. At least you know what's there.

Alex Ferrari 1:37:01
Constant, yeah, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:37:02
But she like she wanted to people please. She wanted to like please you know everybody that she's been with for a long time and her higher and she's like the everything just started coming up, and I'm like I don't know if she's gonna do it. I don't and she's been doing like finally she jumped in this work after 30 years. It took me four years to get her there. It took her two years to get me here, and she's like, I I haven't ever been in this situation because you want to be able to see the road, and when you have to do these jumps, there's no guarantee, there's no foreshadowing, there's nothing, there's nothing there in front of you. You just have to jump.

Alex Ferrari 1:37:38
Before we go into this, I was just thinking about this because it's something I always bring up. Is like why I did years ago. I did a documentary series in Florida about the Florida Lottery winners, and I always found it fascinating that people win the lottery. Most of them either self-destruct, lose all their money, or back to where they were within five years, and all of that makes most sense after this conversation because they're just capable. Not even though the money is there and it's just money, right? Energy, they don't. They can't

Marisa Liza Pell 1:38:08
receive it. They can't. Not

Alex Ferrari 1:38:08
only can they receive, they can't hold it.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:38:11
That's a lot of energy, and

Alex Ferrari 1:38:12
they want to get rid of it as fast as possible. And then there was one guy I never forgot him. There was the I had I interviewed people who just spending and spending and spending and spending, and then you knew they were going to run out eventually, and self-destruct. And then there's other one who didn't quit his job. He was like in his late 50s, early 60s.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:38:29
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:38:29
didn't quit his job. Went to his work every day. He's like, I don't want to lose my pension. He'd won $10 million, and he did not want. So he just put it in the bank, literally, and did not even look at it. He just couldn't process it, so he just left it alone. He goes every once in a while. My wife walks past a dress she wants. We buy it for her. That was a quote. I never forgot that. I was like, wow,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:38:54
because he's still living in the same limited capacity. He couldn't.

Alex Ferrari 1:38:56
He couldn't even grasp. It's

Marisa Liza Pell 1:38:57
almost a betrayal to his childhood. It's to everything. To everything.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:01
Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:01
you have to be able to hold this stuff.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:03
All right, so let's let let's hold, and I want everyone to go through it with me. So, tell me, just

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:08
I want to know. I first want you to observe your body. Okay, tell me where you feel the triggering.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:14
Right here,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:14
right there, right there, right here, right.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:16
Yeah, that's where the anxiety anxiety started coming. You

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:19
notice your speech?

Alex Ferrari 1:39:20
Oh no! I my speech started to change. Feel a

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:23
little spacey. Like your visions are not as clear.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:28
No, I didn't feel that. No, I actually sharpened.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:30
It sharpened. Oh yeah, because you're like dilating to like running from the tiger. Correct. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I got my

Alex Ferrari 1:39:36
my everything's sharpened all of a sudden, and then then and then I was like, wait a minute. But then this, and then you heard my, you heard it.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:42
You're still in

Alex Ferrari 1:39:42
it. I'm still in it. Exactly. I'm not the mellow, chill guy. I'm like I was like,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:47
yeah. Okay.

Alex Ferrari 1:39:48
Yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:39:48
So when we're about to go into these things, and you might have to be in a position to go into these things, you want to train like a Olympic athlete to train to go up the mountain if you're. Up Mount Everest, you're not just going to go up on your own. You got to train if you're running a 2K and you never ran before. You got to train, so you have to train this system to build up resistance and tolerance to stepping into the doorway. Because everyone's like, "I want the answer. What's my purpose? Want the answer? Well, what are you going to do with it? You got to step through the doorway. The somatic work is what does it. So, because you see, what happens? Yeah. So we're just gonna do a quick little exercise. Okay. Um, which we have another one in mastery that's like a sequence. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Alex Ferrari 1:40:30
Yes.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:40:31
So this one's gonna make us like I don't know like how you want to do this audio wise because it's it's a really weird sound that you're gonna have to make. So you know like the moo sound that the cow makes. We're gonna say voo, right? But in a lowest register. So, so like a foghorn. So you're gonna put your one hand on your chest, okay, and then your other hand on your belly. You're gonna take a deep breath through the belly all the way up, and then we're gonna go voo all the way down. No, that's a little, no, no,

Alex Ferrari 1:41:04
to love. Voo, oh, voo, like that.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:41:07
But like project out, like a theater voice, project out, and go all the way down past the point where you feel like the exhale pushes all the breath out. Okay, go a little further, but you're still breathing from the chest. I want you to breathe from the belly. Okay, you're you're like this, right? So you're gonna take as much as you can and boo. Reach me with the voo. Reach me. Good, good, good. Oh, press it more. Okay, two more times. Keep elongating that boo. Try to reach me with the boo. Keep going, keep keep going. Try to reach me. Good. Keep going. Keep going. Did you like that? One more time. Keep go low. Not not voo. Voo.

Alex Ferrari 1:41:59
Okay.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:41:59
Okay. All like breathe. Come on, the best.

Alex Ferrari 1:42:04
Okay, I do this all for you guys.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:42:09
He's not coachable. No, no, no, not ooh, no, you're breathing from the chest down to the shoulders. Okay, pull it up. Take as much much breath as you can. Think of the longest voo. We're

Alex Ferrari 1:42:28
gonna be there. You go.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:42:36
Keep going. Reach me. Project out. Keep going, keep going, keep going, keep going. Push. Okay, hands on you. Can't no. Don't talk. Hands on you. Close your eyes. This is the rest and notice part. Okay, so this is what I tell all of my clients. This is the most important part. Is that we allow that allow that work to integrate. Okay, so I want you to just take 30 seconds, breathe, and I want you to notice in your body what has changed. Even a millimeter, are you breathing deeper? Do you feel less of that microwavey energy? Did you drop down a little bit? Do you feel any tingling in your hands or your feet?

Alex Ferrari 1:43:24
Can I speak?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:43:25
No.

Alex Ferrari 1:43:25
Okay. I'm just asking. You have

Marisa Liza Pell 1:43:30
to be aware of your body right now, Alex. Breathe, and just make some mental notes about what has changed. We're not looking for a football field of change. We're looking for just a small amount of relaxation that the body registered that the somatic work signaled safety in the body. And if the body changed, then safety has been restored on some level. Okay, you can open your eyes. Can you breathe?

Alex Ferrari 1:44:05
I can.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:44:07
Well, you're back.

Alex Ferrari 1:44:09
Yeah, I feel better. No, no, there's there's the anxiety is gone. Yeah, that energy left pretty quick. I might

Marisa Liza Pell 1:44:16
feel a little bit teary in the eyes because it's a light headed,

Alex Ferrari 1:44:18
but I might have been just because I was breathing out so

Marisa Liza Pell 1:44:20
much. Yeah, but if I did feel a drop.

Alex Ferrari 1:44:23
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel, I feel like we did when we started the conversation at the beginning of the interview. Like I feel much more. You can actually hear the tone of my voice change. My cadence, my cadence is different now. I'm deeper. I have a more Barry White voice situation. Yeah, but I feel a lot better. So now, so okay. So now that we've gotten here,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:44:44
so now what I would do with you is I would say if you're feeling like you have to take a step in your life, that's hard. Even if it's just like a little action and your body's triggering, you do this, and now I would tell you to take a micro step into it.

Alex Ferrari 1:45:00
Before you even before you finished conversation, in my head, I just went, okay, so let's open ourselves up to Steven Spielberg offering me something, and all of a sudden it just started to come up again. It's lighter though.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:45:16
It's lighter. Not the intensity is what maybe was at an eight before. Is it at a three?

Alex Ferrari 1:45:20
It's at like a two or three now, but I felt it just go, and I was like, "What is that? Wow, wow, that's like holy crap!

Marisa Liza Pell 1:45:30
So that's when we in your this is like one one little gym, like you do a little bit, like you need to build your, you need to tone that nerve, tone that vagus nerve. That's what we're doing. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:45:42
that that I still like. It's wobbly inside right now. I'm I'm I'm much more chilled.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:45:48
Yeah, than

Alex Ferrari 1:45:49
I was when we first went down this road. But I'm act I'm actively just listening to my body right now, and I feel this kind of like it's not gas. It's like it's like a

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:00
little bubbly,

Alex Ferrari 1:46:01
yeah. But it's like energetic bubbly. It's not like physical bubbly. It's energetic bubbly. So it's kind of like it's really interesting. You're in

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:08
your body now. You're grounded and you're

Alex Ferrari 1:46:11
interested. You're

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:12
talking almost like an arrhythmic song, like your rhythm, like it's very

Alex Ferrari 1:46:16
yeah yeah

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:16
different.

Alex Ferrari 1:46:17
It's not kinetic like it was before. No,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:19
you were all the way getting getting ready to pop. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:46:22
yeah. I was like like that. Now I can't even get to there. Like now, I'm like I'm not there anymore, so I can't even pretend to be. You just

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:29
deactivate it. You didn't go and get a massage and then go into stress and deactivate the same energy that's in the body. You released a little bit of that old energy for good.

Alex Ferrari 1:46:41
Wow.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:46:42
For good, that's a rewire. So then, the vagus nerve is the most spiritual portal to the other side, and that's in the body. That's science, and we're toning that nerve to your divine vessel, to your divine channel, right? The vagus nerve is the channel.

Alex Ferrari 1:46:59
I actually feel like tearing up.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:47:01
Yeah, that's the sympathetic energy, the fight or flight energy coming out of the body.

Alex Ferrari 1:47:05
I feel like I literally feel like I want to kind of like I want to release. Like I don't. I'm not holding it back. It's just not coming out. But I feel

Marisa Liza Pell 1:47:11
right

Alex Ferrari 1:47:12
the urge for it, and I. It's like I felt the my lips start to

Marisa Liza Pell 1:47:18
quiver,

Alex Ferrari 1:47:18
quiver a little bit. It wow.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:47:21
That means your body needs this work. It's handling it very well. It's already starting to respond to it because it knows it needs. There's so much pressure that's building up and chronic pain, all that stuff. Is your body saying we need to move this? Let it because the. I mean, in the InstaPoc and hold only so much pressure before, like if you don't have that release valve. So what we're doing is we're taking the release valve on the top of the InstaPot, and we're opening it up a little bit at a time. I

Alex Ferrari 1:47:50
have to ask you though, okay, because right now I feel a whole bunch of stuff going on in my body. What do

Marisa Liza Pell 1:47:55
you feel? Talk about it.

Alex Ferrari 1:47:56
So the energy, it feels like I'm changing the water in a in a fish tank.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:03
Yeah, clearing up.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:05
It's like when you when you pour out when you when you take out water from a fish tank, and you leave a little bit of it in, it looks clear.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:15
Right.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:15
Until you pour the new water in, and then all the crap comes up.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:18
Right.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:19
That's what I'm feeling. I feel all the crap coming up.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:22
Let me test your intuition real quick, okay? I'm gonna do a little test. Sure. Okay. When you try that on, does it make you feel excited?

Alex Ferrari 1:48:29
Try one on the idea.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:30
Just the dream, the big dream. When you try it on, is there excitement? There could be fear, but is there a little excitement in the body about the possibility of having? Yeah, of course. Do you feel the excitement?

Alex Ferrari 1:48:42
Yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:43
Before you felt the fear.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:45
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:46
And you couldn't feel the excitement.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:48
So yeah, I feel the excitement now more than I feel about the fear.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:48:51
Right.

Alex Ferrari 1:48:52
When you first, when we first had the conversation, the fear was the first thing that popped in, and it wasn't even. It was fear disguised as protection.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:49:00
Well, your protectors are real.

Alex Ferrari 1:49:02
No, no, but it was my protecting. I I came up because I was afraid, but it wasn't like oh, I'm afraid of doing that. No, no, no. I just started. So just imagine

Marisa Liza Pell 1:49:09
that most people live like this 90% of the time in fear and protection. They can't access what you just accessed. The excitement is the second intuition.

Alex Ferrari 1:49:21
Okay,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:49:22
which is the felt sense in the body of the truth. So you just felt the excitement underneath the fear and protection. Most people can't get to that because they're so dysregulated. The excitement means that it's right. The excitement means that. No, I saw myself

Alex Ferrari 1:49:36
on set with Stephen,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:49:37
right, and I saw myself.

Alex Ferrari 1:49:39
Oh, I felt. I mean, I'm like I'm getting I'm like wow I'm now all sorts of other energies coming up now I feel very excited about it about the potential of just being there the I visually put myself there next to him working on a project and I don't know what that no idea what any of it is

Marisa Liza Pell 1:49:58
hey do you see yourself expanding?

Alex Ferrari 1:50:00
Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:00
you just expanded, right? Because you're internally had a little expansion, and now you're able to visualize it without triggering, right? That's the first step. Now I want to test your external intuition, okay? Because these things come back on when we start opening and dropping. Most people think we need to keep going up and up and up.

Alex Ferrari 1:50:22
There's

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:22
more disconnection. What's first thing that comes? Do you see anything about me?

Alex Ferrari 1:50:26
No.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:27
First thing that comes up.

Alex Ferrari 1:50:28
Say that one more time.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:30
Psychically. Oh, can you see anything? Is anything coming through about me?

Alex Ferrari 1:50:34
No. That like from about you?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:37
Just anything that comes to mind-a vision, a word, a feeling, a thought, a a picture. I want to take you down into your intuition a little bit. Let's talk about the book. Anything about the book? I'll just ask you. Like, you're a psychic.

Alex Ferrari 1:50:50
Okay.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:50:51
Anything about the book I was talking about?

Alex Ferrari 1:50:53
I mean, I know, I know this for there's fear behind it. Yeah. There's fear about how you're going to release it, that I know,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:01
right?

Alex Ferrari 1:51:02
Because we had a conversation about that yesterday, so that's not any intuition. But I can sense. I we actually did this yesterday, talking about your book. I was calling you on stuff that you were like,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:15
right?

Alex Ferrari 1:51:15
And I was calling out. Do

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:16
you get a vision? Do you get any other things that don't make sense that comes first thing? What comes? I mean,

Alex Ferrari 1:51:22
the only thing I see is I see you signing books. I saw that came right away.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:25
Well, how did it come?

Alex Ferrari 1:51:28
It just came in. Like as I see you signing books, I see you sign. Like I see you with a pile of books, and I see you signing them. Is

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:34
it in a mall? Is it in no?

Alex Ferrari 1:51:37
No, it's like in a bookstore.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:38
Okay, and what am I wearing?

Alex Ferrari 1:51:41
It's like a reddish purple thing,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:44
right? So I'm tapping into what you're seeing

Alex Ferrari 1:51:47
because you are a psychiatric.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:51:49
No, I could, but you're okay. So there's a clairvoyance right there coming online, and what's the feeling you're getting from that vision? What's the feeling? Is there excitement? Joy there, joyful excitement. Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 1:52:01
are you? I see it for you.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:52:03
Are you looking at it from like an outside perspective, or are you there?

Alex Ferrari 1:52:08
No, I'm looking at it from from above. Like um, the it's an angle. I can only speak about it in angles. So it's a high, high upper left angle. Like if this is the table, it'd be like up there looking down at you. Yeah, I could be standing, but it could. It's a little higher.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:52:21
What color is the cover?

Alex Ferrari 1:52:27
Blue, bluish cover. Okay, that's what I. I mean, that's first thing that pops up. Have you

Marisa Liza Pell 1:52:31
ever experienced a clairvoyant vision like that before? Okay, so now we're knowing you're in your body because you're starting to access that vision, okay? You're starting to access the second intuition too, which is the felt sense. We've known up to this point in, so I'm liking that you're starting to even go deeper with it, because sometimes we go into the vision, but we're not going into the feeling of why that message is coming through. So if I take you deeper into that to that vision, I would ask, why is that message coming? What what is it? Is it is it that I need to? Why you need to hear it? Why?

Alex Ferrari 1:53:11
Because you're scared.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:53:13
Why?

Alex Ferrari 1:53:14
Why are you scared? Oh, that's a that's a deep question that I don't know if we want to go about it in this conversation. We'll talk about it later. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But because

Marisa Liza Pell 1:53:22
it's not a fear of writing the book. No, no, no. That's not a question. No, no, no. It's the

Alex Ferrari 1:53:26
fear of a lot of other things around the release of the book, and that, and then you're digging, and it digs into your own, yeah, yeah, your own trauma when you were a child. Yeah, we all go through all that stuff. Yeah. So it's, but so like for me, the fear of the Stephen's the Stephen job was because of all the stuff I went through, and not being able to hold the space for it. So it's very interesting. I got to meet a hero of mine recently. I'm gonna get teared up. I got to meet a hero of mine the other day, and he lives here in Austin, and he is probably the main reason I became a director. And his name is Robert Rodriguez.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:54:10
Robert.

Alex Ferrari 1:54:10
Robert Rodriguez.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:54:11
Remember our first?

Alex Ferrari 1:54:14
Did you say Robert? You did say Robert, didn't you?

Marisa Liza Pell 1:54:17
And you didn't know who it was

Alex Ferrari 1:54:18
because I didn't have a yeah. But Robert Rutgers. The

Marisa Liza Pell 1:54:22
first time I came, that's the name that kept coming the whole show.

Alex Ferrari 1:54:25
Well, Robert was, you know, he's he's. I mean, I've been a fan of his forever, and he was an an idol of mine, and he helped me get started. And I always knew, for whatever reason, I knew that one day I would there would be something that would happen that I would meet, and the other day I was at at an event in in Troublemaker Studios, and a dear friend of mine, Hank, would you like to meet Robert? And I said, sure.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:54:54
Oh my god! And then

Alex Ferrari 1:54:55
I got to, and I was alone because my kids were they had to do something else, so. I was there, and and I got a picture with him, and we hung out and talked for like 20 minutes about parenting.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:55:07
Right, I

Alex Ferrari 1:55:08
get to talk to my filmmaking idol, and I'm talking about

Marisa Liza Pell 1:55:11
kids, yes,

Alex Ferrari 1:55:13
and stuff. But it was such a beautiful experience, and he was such a gentleman, just beautiful soul, and he was so nice and kind. And it was, you know, it was. I mean, if there was a Mount Rushmore for me personally, he's on

Marisa Liza Pell 1:55:26
it for me, right?

Alex Ferrari 1:55:26
As as a filmmaker, and it was to. But I, after it, I was like, huh. I finally got to a place where I could do this, like I that I could open myself up to, even imagine this idea, of meeting this man,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:55:43
well,

Alex Ferrari 1:55:43
and now you know,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:55:45
but you just took so you just expanded right here, right now, past a capacity point. You were at a window. Your body's been telling you you've been at a window because some pain that's been going on in the body. Your body's like, we need to move. We need to move this energy, and so like you right now, you're like a baby, like like like you're calm as a baby right now.

Alex Ferrari 1:56:06
Very much like

Marisa Liza Pell 1:56:07
and you're like in your emotion, you feel you're embodying this moment, and you're savoring this moment. It's not like okay, what are we gonna? How we how many more minutes till we we're done? Like you're not thinking of that. No, you're in you're savoring this present moment, and that's the big win. And what we did, you activated your intuition at the same time. You dropped in the body. We expanded past the trigger, and now this dream doesn't feel it's it's not an eight. It's a two. It's like just bubbling at two. Now you're at an expansion point, so you're ready to take the next step.

Alex Ferrari 1:56:40
I'm very like right now. I'm mellow. Like I just, just I'm like high. Exactly. I'm a slight bit high.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:56:48
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:56:49
Even though I've never taken drugs. That's how

Marisa Liza Pell 1:56:51
connection feels in the vagus nerve.

Alex Ferrari 1:56:53
Well, I felt this.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:56:54
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 1:56:54
I felt this in other meditations sometimes when things open up and certain spiritual places I've been to. That I felt like I felt I feel high right now, and I'm very chilled and very mellow and relaxed, which is the complete opposite. I mean, people could literally see

Marisa Liza Pell 1:57:12
it

Alex Ferrari 1:57:13
transform real real time when I went from the idea of Steven Spielberg to now. I'm like, yeah, sure, yeah. I'm, I'm completely like, sure. I mean, I don't know if I'll do it. I don't know what the situation is. I don't know the circumstances are. But I'm open. Body just accepted it. But I'm completely open to it. The body

Marisa Liza Pell 1:57:32
just accepted it. So when the body accepts it, it's not rejecting it anymore. Wow. So how can you magnetize something you're rejecting? Oh,

Alex Ferrari 1:57:43
so that's how can

Marisa Liza Pell 1:57:44
you bring it in?

Alex Ferrari 1:57:46
Wow, yeah, throughout everybody's life, yeah.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:57:50
Now there's no block to it. You can imagine it, hold it, embody it, feel it. You feel the excitement. Your body is connected to it. You're embodying the moment in just in the imagination. It's such a huge shift. We're not even taking the steps yet, but you have to take the step in the body first. You're at a different level now.

Alex Ferrari 1:58:08
Wow!

Marisa Liza Pell 1:58:09
So this is what it feels like. Most people cycle through fight or flight and shutdown, which are two states in the nervous system. On the ladder, shutdown's lower, fight or flight's higher. Ventral is what a lot of people go to Hollywood for. They think that they're seeking that sense of what you're feeling now in the fame and the fortune and the money. That's what people think because they're getting a slight hit of dopamine. What they're looking for is the ventral space in the nervous system. This is science, and then that opens up the portal to the other side, to the intuition. Those two things need to align in the crown area. So you just opened up, you just cleaned off that window. It was a little dirty. You just cleaned it off, and so now it's like you're in the body. You you're actually in your body for the first time in a long time. You're in your body. You're experiencing. It's like, hey, I'm on Earth high, and you feel like, ah, everything feels just fine. It's like getting in that pool, and it's like

Alex Ferrari 1:59:08
warm and it's like different temperature. Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:59:11
and imagine living like this your whole life. That's the goal. You're in a you're in what's called the ventral state in your nervous system, where the story you're telling yourself is completely different than what you're telling yourself three minutes ago, because your nervous system state comes first, and then the story your thoughts tell you comes second, not the other way around.

Alex Ferrari 1:59:32
Wow, wow. Well,

Marisa Liza Pell 1:59:35
so now you'll probably take a nap.

Alex Ferrari 1:59:37
Yeah, I feel like taking a nap now, but we have more work to do. But no, I well, I appreciate that, and that's a really great. Yeah, I'm a little high, so everyone has to bear with me. Yeah, that's a great leadway into to what we've done. I can't speak.

Marisa Liza Pell 1:59:55
Do you want me to promo it for you? I couldn't form it for you. I

Alex Ferrari 1:59:59
am out of. Man, what did you do to me? Oh, what did I do to myself? I mean, Jesus, you allowed

Marisa Liza Pell 2:00:03
it. You were ready.

Alex Ferrari 2:00:06
Wow, that was people

Marisa Liza Pell 2:00:07
are probably going to be watching this like me, like, oh my god, look at him try to promote. I can't

Alex Ferrari 2:00:11
talk. I can't like. So, like, what we're been doing? Next level

Marisa Liza Pell 2:00:15
soul mastery. Yeah, okay. No, no, no.

Alex Ferrari 2:00:19
So at this point, everyone. By the time this airs, everyone should know that their next level soul mastery is out. Yeah. Um. Um. Give me a second. We'll we'll get we'll get to this. I swear, Marisa. Um. All right. So we did

Marisa Liza Pell 2:00:32
a masterclass yesterday. Okay. So we did film. So we all

Alex Ferrari 2:00:35
right. So we filmed this course. Um. And this actually is, you know, I understand the course at a much different level than I did

Marisa Liza Pell 2:00:41
takes you through this process almost right.

Alex Ferrari 2:00:43
It takes you through this process, but going through it is is a completely different experience. But I see you use some of the techniques that we talked about yesterday in the course, but this is. I mean, I could just tell you. I mean, I can't barely speak. So, so please, I'm sorry, everyone. Please bear with me. I'm doing the best I can. The course is called the Stress Detox, and it is about tell you tell everybody what it's about. I can't

Marisa Liza Pell 2:01:19
talk anymore.

Alex Ferrari 2:01:23
I need a drink. I'm like, and it's getting worse. What's happening? It's like I'm like getting your

Marisa Liza Pell 2:01:32
body saying thank you. So you know all that tension that we hold in that in that always protective state. The body just holds it because it doesn't feel safe to relax, and then the people that are traumatized, you start to relax. The body's like, no, no, no, you can't relax. That's vulnerable. You can't do that. So it keeps us in a state of hyper vigilance. So your body just relaxed for the first time in 40 years,

Alex Ferrari 2:01:55
50, yeah, like

Marisa Liza Pell 2:01:58
really relaxed, like internally, not just like oh, I feel relaxed because I'm watching a a TV show or I've

Alex Ferrari 2:02:04
meditated or the

Marisa Liza Pell 2:02:06
first time your body said I feel safe enough to let go for a little bit, like your internal organs, your vagus nerve, your vagus nerve is what we toned, what we reset in that exercise. Then the spiritual alignment work comes after that. It can't come before it. We can't do spiritual alignment work because people can't step into it. I can't give you a psychic reading and say you're meant to do this. You wouldn't be able to step into it. Your body would trigger. That's why the psychic readings are kind of like at this stage of the game with where the world is. I got to get you past that point to step through the doorway,

Alex Ferrari 2:02:41
right,

Marisa Liza Pell 2:02:42
and continue to hold it, and then you be like, "Oh well, I stepped through the doorway. Yeah, let's consistently hold it now. Let's hold that vibration so it doesn't drop. You just gotta taste. This is like if you look at a glacier. This is a tippy tippy

Alex Ferrari 2:02:58
top, yeah, of the glacier.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:03:00
Tip. Imagine if you feel like that with just a little bit of like the the 1% of the work is like you feel like that now how you could feel every day you could feel like this every day of your life

Alex Ferrari 2:03:13
yeah it changes everything like um so the course talk about the course

Marisa Liza Pell 2:03:18
just talk about stress detox is the course. Actually, had a different name, and you channeled psychically with the name. Okay, okay, that name

Alex Ferrari 2:03:29
popped into my head. Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 2:03:30
now, now

Alex Ferrari 2:03:31
I'm I'm defending myself again because I can't open myself up to say these things out loud. You did, you did. So you're going to become a psychic.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:03:38
I'll be the interviewer.

Alex Ferrari 2:03:40
Yes, I channeled. I channeled when we were we were we were doing the course, and we had another course name title for it. I swear, God, my poetanol. Oh my god! I swear, I'm a professional. We have

Marisa Liza Pell 2:03:55
this course called Trust Detox, where I go through five days of practical insights that are very simple to use and helps you get above the energy, above the scatter thinking, above the mental noise, above all the dysregulation you're experiencing and how overwhelmed you might feel at the moment. And it's it's it's not just a course on like spiritual talk and theory, it's very practical to where the things I'm going to ask you to do are very simple, but they go against your biggest bad habits, probably.

Alex Ferrari 2:04:31
But it also is necessary work in order to open up spiritually, because a lot of people get caught in that in that kind of vortex that you can't. That they want to grow spiritually, but they're all this crap is holding them back. Yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 2:04:45
they're in the weeds.

Alex Ferrari 2:04:46
And there's there's only so much you can go. There's only so far you can go spiritually or frequency wise. Stop laughing. Frequency wise in your life until you get rid of all this kind of eyes

Marisa Liza Pell 2:04:56
are all closed. I'm glazed over.

Alex Ferrari 2:04:59
I can't see myself. Have no idea. Anyway, so we're doing the course in middle. Like I think after lesson two or three, I turn to you. I go, I have the name of the course. Yeah, he just channeled. I just go. I just it just popped in my head. I'm sorry. And it's called. I think the stress detox. And you're like, that's a perfect name. I'm like, yeah. I. I. It just came like literally while you were doing this, and I'm like, great. That's. I'm like, yeah. That's gonna be a Well, it is as of this recording. It is available now on Next Level Soul TV. Just go

Marisa Liza Pell 2:05:25
experience it.

Alex Ferrari 2:05:26
It's available now on Next Level Soul TV. If you if you're a member, if you're an annual member, and if you if you want to buy it, we'll have a link for it as well. And if you want to taste a little bit of taste of the course, watch just watch the show, but if not, we actually put together a free masterclass that takes you through different little tastes of what we've been doing, and the masterclass itself could be a breakthrough. I mean, this conversation is obviously been a breakthrough, so and that was just such a small thing that you this wasn't like a deep 1000 things. It was a few little things that took you down, but I guess my body was ready for it.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:06:06
Yeah, your body like obviously trusted me enough to allow it. So you have to trust like the information. You're doing this publicly, so like there wasn't much fear of like allowing yourself be open to your audience, which I find very admirable that you would do that here, and show them like, like because that's what you're, what you're showing is the true you,

Alex Ferrari 2:06:28
yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 2:06:28
and it's vulnerable, yeah, yeah. I have no

Alex Ferrari 2:06:30
problem with that stuff. I don't know why that's that that stuff. I'm I've always been. I'm very authentic. I'm who I am. Like this is me.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:06:37
Yeah.

Alex Ferrari 2:06:38
So I. But your

Marisa Liza Pell 2:06:39
body hasn't been open.

Alex Ferrari 2:06:40
No, my body's probably been protected. Yeah, so

Marisa Liza Pell 2:06:42
you could still be friendly and open in your speech and like appearing happy, but your body's still holding tension. And so right now, what your audience is watching is your body has released, and it's in alignment with you've you've jumped into the body.

Alex Ferrari 2:07:02
So before we go, because we could keep talking for hours, and yeah, we can we can't. When I was writing my first book, shooting for the mob, I went through. There was all of the stuff that it. So much stuff came up.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:07:17
Yeah,

Alex Ferrari 2:07:17
it took me a while to write it, and I would skip chapters because I knew where I had to go emotionally to write it, and I would be crying while I wrote it, and I had no idea I was holding on to all of that. And it released and released. And then when I went to do the audio book, I had to stop. I wrote another book, did the audio book for that one, and then came back and finished the audio book for the for this one, because it was so difficult for me to go back, even read it, even deal with it, because I hadn't, and that was a version of this. I would imagine, like I'm just really, I guess that was more releasing than anything else, right? But I guess I hadn't opened the ability to even.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:07:57
Yeah, I mean, you could have emotional moments, and you can have like, you can have moments where you release that stuff. Sure, sure. But a lot of this stuff is in the muscles. It's in the joints. It's in the organs. It's in it's in the fascia. It's in stuff that your body's just holding because it doesn't feel safe yet. You could tell it I'm safe. Like this is ridiculous that I'm having all this anxiety. And is it? Is it?

Alex Ferrari 2:08:25
And is it get worse as you get older? Because when you're younger, your body can handle a lot of you can handle a lot more stress.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:08:32
Well, think of the Insta Pot and think of different layers of pressure, right? So,

Alex Ferrari 2:08:37
yeah,

Marisa Liza Pell 2:08:37
it's like decade one, this amount of pressure, and also the and also the

Alex Ferrari 2:08:41
pot's younger, so the pot can actually handle things a little bit differently. A little shaky. It gets a little shakier as you get older. Yeah, it's

Marisa Liza Pell 2:08:47
like not knowing you have the release valve on there to to let some pressure out.

Alex Ferrari 2:08:53
Wow! If you want to get the mastery course, just go to nextlevels on mastery or nlsmastery.com. I'm really struggling here. You sell in this course? I'm just like I'm doing the best I can. So you go to nlsmastery.com. It's all in the show notes below. Where can people find out more about you and the amazing work you're doing in the world?

Marisa Liza Pell 2:09:11
I feel like I'm drunk. I haven't drank ever. Go ahead. Wow. So marisalisapel.com, or you can just Google Marissa Pell. Obviously, many of you do because you found yeah you got rid of the old website,

Alex Ferrari 2:09:28
right?

Marisa Liza Pell 2:09:29
We are we lived two years. So yes, we're in the process of switching all that over before you air this episode. There'll be

Alex Ferrari 2:09:42
a few. You you have there'll

Marisa Liza Pell 2:09:43
be one website now, marisalizapell.com, or you could Google Marisa Pell. It'll come up. Just my name, Marisa Liza Pell, and it'll be in the show

Alex Ferrari 2:09:52
notes as well. Yeah. Thank you for sharing your your wisdom and your teachings with us on Next Level. I do hope it's going to help people out there in the world, and I appreciate what the thing that just happened here. Our this expansion, I appreciate it and thank you for it. Okay, it's changed a lot. The situation, the situation. I

Marisa Liza Pell 2:10:15
know the presentation.

Alex Ferrari 2:10:18
This is I've never I've done 2000 interviews. I've never had this happen to me before. And

Marisa Liza Pell 2:10:24
Robert came up from the first one. That's what. So Robert came up from

Alex Ferrari 2:10:27
the first one. So Stephen's coming somehow. Stephen's coming. I guess

Marisa Liza Pell 2:10:32
maybe I'm predicting the people you're gonna meet. I think maybe that's what it is. Hold this as long as you can, because it's it's like this is the win. These are the wins today. They're the most important in my life. Is when I'm able able to savor moments and be fully present and have time slow down. Yeah, and actually be like I am at one in this moment. Like I'm not in the past. I'm not in the future. Like I'm here and I'm connected. And the wins for me today are when I have those moments in life. Like those are the wins. The more of them I can have, that's what I that's what I live for today. Are these moments with you having this moment is real? It's present. It's connected. I'm not feeling like oh we're in the studio and we're interviewing and I'm separate from that. And you know, I feel like we're in it. We're in an energy right now. We're in the bubble, and we are connected. You're connected to yourself. I'm connected to myself, and now the universe is limitless.

Alex Ferrari 2:11:37
And with that, I appreciate you being here and everything you're doing to awaken the planet. So thank you.

Marisa Liza Pell 2:11:42
Thank you.
