Emotional NDE: Mother & Child DIE, Mom LEAVES Child in HEAVEN; Met by GUARDIAN ANGEL with Lorna Byrne

Lorna Byrne has devoted her life to reminding humanity of the spiritual potential within us all. She is the author of several best-selling books, including Angels in My Hair: The True Story of a Modern-Day Mystic.

Lorna‘s teachings result from a remarkable gift, a divine connection providing her with incredible knowledge of the spiritual side of life. She has physical sight of the unseen world, including angels, spirits, and other spiritual beings, who she says guide and teach us every moment of every day. This gift is not from meditation, visualization, psychedelic experiences, or even books or studies, as she is uneducated in the traditional sense and severely dyslexic.

Lorna‘s vision of the future is one where there is no division or boundaries between people, where our spiritual side is accepted and transcends all beliefs. According to Lorna, the future depends on this spiritual evolution. Lorna is the founder of the Lorna Byrne Children’s Foundation, which helps vulnerable and marginalized children, and Sanctuary, her center in County Kilkenny, Ireland.

I just left and I went with my guardian angel. And how would I say, I went to the most fantastic playground to play in. And there was this fantastic playground. It literally had everything in it that you could possibly think of and millions more of one thing about the playground was

Alex Ferrari 0:22
I like to welcome to the show, Lorna Byrne, how you doing Lorna?

Lorna Byrne 0:34
And I am delighted to be talking here with you, Alex. It's got to be a hopeful, hopefully very exciting, I'm looking forward to whatever questions you're going to ask me.

Alex Ferrari 0:45
I appreciate that so much. I'm looking forward to our conversation, because you've had a, like, a, let's say, eventful journey so far, on your path here on earth. So before we get started, we'll be talking also about your book, Angels in my hair, which is a great title, by the way, for a book. But the first question I have for you is, what was your life like, before you had a near death experience?

Lorna Byrne 1:14
What of what I can say to you, I've had quite a few near death experience. So like, given when I was being born, there was problems, you know, so even then I had a near death experience, even though I was still an infant, I hadn't been fully born. as such. That question I can't really answer because it's like, I haven't got there yet.

Alex Ferrari 1:47
In what sense?

Lorna Byrne 1:50
In the sense of luck in life different than so many other people and I think that's because I've been educated by God and the angels. I wasn't in school or anything I was pulled out of school at but in the, into the back of the class, I was ignored, because I was considered retired it. So the angels have taught me everything I know. I can't read. I'm severely dyslexic. So I can't even pronounce every word. As as such, and sometimes I might say something a little backwards. Okay, fair enough. You know, so So in a sense, it's like, I can't answer that question.

Alex Ferrari 2:40
Fair enough. Fair enough. So you said you had multiple near death experiences in your life, which was the most memorable, the one that really knocked your shoe boots off, as they say?

Lorna Byrne 2:52
Well, I think one was where I died from my baby died, okay, at the same at the same time. And that is the most memorable because the angels had told me that God was going to take my baby home to heaven, you know, on the birth, and the birth would come early. And I died that that day. Because I went with my baby, you know, I went through what everyone calls that tunnel, I call it the spiral staircase. Because it's, it goes, it goes like that. And, you know, I just told him, my baby, and my arms and my soul. You know, it was like, I was where I was meant to be. And it was just so full of light and love and, and it always is, because it's, it's lined with angels with that Glice in that in that way, and even other time watching other souls that were on the same journey as myself with my baby. And I can only say, that is such peace and calmness, you know, there's such love, there's no fear or no anxiety and in any way, but then an angel stood in front of me, this beautiful angel, and just I always use the word sometimes No, Weiss, because it's not quite like white that we have. It's a white. That's why you should then snow whiter than anything else, but it's full of light. It's full of life in that in that way. And this angel just stood in front of me and said, I can't go any further that I shouldn't have come with my baby. I wasn't meant to and that I had to go back and I didn't want to go back Did you know but yes, I knew I would have to. And for what I say I always just, it's like that, that love of this beautiful angel standing in front of me, and looking at my little baby boy in my arms, you know, and he's smiling at me. And his beautiful eyes II, he was so perfect, and so beautiful and so full of light. And God's saying I had to go back. And about the same time almost. Because it's like, as if, you know, time doesn't exist at all. And the angel putting out her hands her arms to take my baby, and she taken my baby ever so gently. And then I haven't go back, I suppose that is the one most memorable for me, in that sense, but I have had others. You know, when I was maybe between 12 and 14, I know good for time and age. In that sense. When I was having my appendix out, the doctors told my parents, I haven't written about this one yet. But to all my parents that I had died, you know, that my heart stopped, and they had to struggle to get to get me back. And one thing I love about near death experience, we shouldn't be so afraid of it. In that sense, I think it's a great comfort, when people hear stories of someone dying, and God sending them back. Because I think that gives people hope, about their loved ones have known that their loved one is still alive, but not in the physical form, in that in that way. And I think it gives proof as well that, you know, we all have a soul. You know, we're not just a human being, we're a spiritual being as well. You know, I always say for that intertwining to happen of the body and soul. I think when people share their death experience with others, it helps, it helps a person to get through grief. You know, it helps, you know, a mom or a dad or a brother or sister or a best friend to feel, well, they're not really dead. So that's the reason why sometimes they feel their presence. Or sometimes, you know, something reminds me of them. Or suddenly I'm thinking of them in that in that way. I think it gives grace, comfort to so many people. And I don't think people actually ever thought of that. I haven't written many stories on the different near death experience is I have I've had, I have one that I'm going to write about. But it's completely different to whatever I heard from other people. You know, when other people talk about them true. And I have already said it to my publisher, so he said, You're not to say a word. So I kept it.

Alex Ferrari 8:40
Fair enough. It's a tease, it's a tease I get that.

Lorna Byrne 8:43
Yeah, you know, they they do that on you in that in that way. But it's important for us to remember that we don't die. It's only the physical but we're meant to live life. So again, anybody that will be listening to this. I would say to them, you know, they're meant to live, and not to dare take their life whatsoever, no matter how down you might you may feel or how difficult life is you're going to get through it. And it's going to get better. It always does. It always does. And you need it. And I need you. Everyone needs you know, and you are loved. And I think just so many people have to be of all ages reminded of that, that they are loved even if they think they're not. I love you. And I don't even know who you are or where you are in the world. But I love you.

Alex Ferrari 9:47
Okay, that's beautiful. So you were mentioning that you you were having a surgery, and you had a near death experience then what happened on that near death experience.

Lorna Byrne 9:59
I am when, what would I say? I remember what what way? Would I describe it? Because I haven't written about it. So here I'm thinking now what part of it will I give to you? You know, because it's too it's too long. It's like when they put me on there, and I was still very conscious of that. And it was like when they started the surgery, and they were almost finished. And I just decided to leave. That's the only way I can explain that you have to remember I was a child. And I wanted to go and see my mom, see when my parents were. And I just remember this, this little part of it, my guardian angel, grabbing a hold of my soul and saying, Lorna, where are you going? And I just, how would I say my guardian angel grabbed me here, and that's enough, grab but gently. And I turned around and looked at my guardian angel, and just said, I'm going to check my parents, I'm going to see where my parents are. And my guardian angel said to me, though, not here. And I remember, you know, we just for that moment, been a bit astonished. And I was in this in the theater. I was in the room. And then I left. I just, I just left and I went with my guardian angel. And how would I say, I went to the most fantastic playground to play in, I went to heaven. I, I'm skipping loads where because it would be too long, but I went to heaven. And there was this fantastic playground, it literally had everything in it that you could possibly think of and millions more. But one thing about the playground was, how would I say, How can I describe this? It's like it was like as if I was going through colors. If you can imagine that. Colors, you know, all kinds of colors, and seem to my left may be a swing. And it was in among all of the colors. And then the swing would turn to a particular color itself, sometimes purple, the colors I loved mostly in that in that way. And heading over to it and sitting on the swing. And it was like as if I could go as high as I want it. And the swing could swing around. In and that in that way. And at that time, I didn't want to come back. And then there's another little piece of this.

Alex Ferrari 13:31
Please, you could tell me it's okay. You can make it a little long story. I'm very fascinated. So as much as you want to tell us about this journey. Please feel free. As long as it's okay with your publisher. I don't want you to get in trouble. Tell us all you want.

Lorna Byrne 13:43
I don't want to get into trouble with as well. I'm not allowed to give everything.

Alex Ferrari 13:48
So as much as you could give us.

Lorna Byrne 13:50
Yeah, it's you know, sifting out this way and added it moving. And it actually went around like that. You didn't it wasn't the usual way. The swing it went right round. And it was like as if I was going around the world. I was going around the world. And so I'll skip again that bit. And then how would I say this, this other part, and this little piece? My guardian angel took hold of my hand and said to me, Lorna, you will have to go back soon. Can you hear them calling you look over there was like to my left. And I looked and it was like how can you describe it? I could see the theater. I could see the doctors and the nurses. I could see what they were doing. I could see how would I say II like panic, in that, in that sense, they had a child and the child heart had stopped, and they were working to get going again. And I said to my guardian angel, but can I not stay here? I'm happier here. You know, my guidance angels saying no, you're going to have to come back. So let's go in that direction. My guardian angel Watson fairy. Oh, I'm pushing you back now, my guy who was very gentle in that way. And then just one stage. Again, my guardian angel said, you know, it's really time now. It was like, How would I describe this little part? It was like locking down the spiral staircase, to the theater in that in that way. And my guardian angel just said, We've got to get closer now. And I just said, Oh, my God, let me stay. And then I just heard the voice of God, saying, No, Lonnie, you've got to go back. You've got to go home. And I said, I'm home. I was, I always do this. So I came back. And how would I say, and then when I woke up, it was like, I woke up in my bed. They had already bought me out of the theater. And I was in, I was in the bed and my mom was there. She when I opened my eyes, she she was there. And I remember just opening them or barely opening them, and seeing her and closing them again. As plus as much as there's a lot more than that, but I

Alex Ferrari 17:10
That's as much as you can give us right now. Yeah, fair enough. Fair enough. So let me ask you, because most human beings, when they're here, don't have a near death experience. You've had a handful already in your life? Why do you think that you, on your soul's journey in this lifeare being you're jumping in and out so much when most people don't ever jump in and out?

Lorna Byrne 17:36
And that's a lovely question. I've never been asked that. So I kind of don't know how to answer a Foley. And I know one thing, how would you say medically, I should be here. You know, so each time I'm sent back. And I have my full faculties. And I guess it's to give a message to the world as well. To tell people, you know, that you are loved, that you have a soul, that there's more to life. You know, life is incredible, no matter what you think you're alive. So you're meant to be feeling the life. And you have the soul and this beautiful guardian angel that is helping you through life. Life is precious, and energies in the sense of, you know, I talk about the intertwining of the human body and the soul. You know that it's part of evolution. It's another step. We're all in search of everyone in the world, whether they say to you they believe or they don't believe. Or they say to you, oh, well, when you die, you just decay. And that's it. And there's nothing more. But yet behind this, I know that they're hoping that there is more in that way. You know, and I have met so many people who would be you know, there could be TV presenters, you know, they could be newscaster, and I was talking with them. And sometimes they might say, well, they don't believe at all, you know, but then the boss told them whoever was in charge. They were to be really negative in that way. And then they come running out after me when I leave and say by the way, I believe everything. You know, we want to believe and I think it's very important for us to believe that were not just a human being or a spiritual being is well, and for that intertwining I just say it's like a plush up to the body and soul coming together. We all want that to happen. Because we, in a sense, want to believe that there is more to life. And there is all this, I can say to you, I'm severely dyslexic, you know, I was considered retarded. And I wasn't as educated as humanly. But I was educated by God and the angels. So I look, I don't understand human beings. My, I can't figure that out in that way. But yet I have been taught to love everything. And even the most horrible person, you might believe in the world. I still love them. You know, one thing the angels used to say to me when I was a child, and that was, if someone said something hurtful, and I as a human child was feeling a little hurt. They would just say to me, Lorna, they know no better. And it was only after time. How would I say in the same, those words, taught me to love you? No matter what, just to reach out and give you a helping hand, no matter what, no matter what the rest of the world thinks of you. I still love you. And it's something very hard, but I believe that's my soul. Because that's what your soul is, is that love. That's what makes you human. If your soul was taken away, you wouldn't be human. Right? You know, you wouldn't have that. That compassion or that hope or that empathy within you. So I don't even know if I answered your question.

Alex Ferrari 21:58
It's a it's a lovely answer. Regardless if you answered it or not, it just it was a I think you started to answer it, then you went off somewhere else. And I loved it. That's what always happens, which is perfectly fine. Because it's it's honestly, it's Spirit coming through you saying the things that need to be said by the so people listening and watching can get the message that they need when they watch this. So I think both you and I are vessels that way, because sometimes I'll ask questions I didn't even plan on I'm like, where did that come from? Apparently, someone needed to hear that question answered. So don't feel bad. Don't feel bad. You're doing perfect. So you mentioned you mentioned angels a lot. In our conversation alone. And in your writings and your experiences. Can you explain to people what it looks what they look like, from your point of view? Because there's so many different versions of angels from the wings with Michael with the sword? And, you know, all of that, like, what is what were the angels that you were interacting with look like?

Lorna Byrne 22:59
Well, I I think the way God uses angels is incredible. Because when I eventually managed to do angels in my hair, on tape, and then someone else type typed out. One thing I would say to God, you know, you know, I didn't say to God, what like, call you? Because God has hundreds of memes, you know, depending on the religion you're in, and I knew I would get ridiculed over it. I even said, you know, God, I've literally killed over it. So what like, call you? And I named out a whole load of names. And God turned around to me and just said, Lord, what do you call me? And I remember being so annoyed, you know, asking me the stupid question, what do I call you, you know what I call you? And I, I turned to look to God. And I just said, God, of course, you know, that's the way I said, God, of course. And the one thing that God had said that it was universal, if you use the word God, no matter what belief someone has, they know who you're talking about, in that in that way. And I just love the way God used his angels with me to educate me in a different way. And be because angels in the world are considered what would you say friendly? Most of the time, you know, even fluffy, you know, pretty, you know, all of these these things, and the more acceptable they're even more accepted or acceptable than God itself, than the Creator itself. You know, so I love the way God How does angels teach me everything I know, I wouldn't be talking to you here today. Only for I was reminded a million times, and still am today not to say certain things. And to keep it a secret. You know, if I had said, as a child, that there was an angel beside my mom, or my dad, I wouldn't be talking to you here today, because they already considered me retired, I would have been put into an institution. But they kept reminding me and they are very beautiful, they are this incredible light. And they always give this human appearance, like us, the human appearance like us, but it's so perfect. So perfect, in that in that sense. And one thing I love about them is that they are neither male nor female. So they can be one or the other. Or both. In that in that sense. But one thing I do love about the angels, and that is they can wear any clothing, and the clothing is always sometimes real casual like ours, I have to say, they would often do that. But other times, wow, if I was addressed designer and could draw the mouse, you know, we'd have all kinds of style, you know, the clothing would be sometimes I only describe maybe a portion of the clothing, because it would take me hours to describe every single detail. And I love the way you know, the way you have your top on there. Okay, while an angel can change its top without taking it off. You know what I mean? It's it just changes that we're, uh, we have to take our clothing off to put clothing on. They don't have to do that. But the other thing I love about the angels is they have an I've written a little about it, they have great depth. It's like as if you can step into an angel, and maybe put it in the human human way, keep going through doors. And it's never ending in that in that way. And their eyes are. They're gentle. I never have seen an angel get angry, or anything like that, or complain or DeVos they never do that your originator loves you unconditionally. Doesn't matter what you do. It just won't give up on you whatsoever. And then of course, the unemployed angels when I started to talk about them. And because the first time I saw them was when I was a child, unemployed angels, unemployed angels. I named I call them they

Alex Ferrari 28:16
Do we is there a union that they have to join to make sure that they get work? I don't think they're gonna strike.

Lorna Byrne 28:27
But as as a child, the first time I saw that, you know, I was told to look up towards the sky, and I just could see these. I didn't realize they were angels. But these are what I call like balls of light, you know, towards orbs, but orbs of light just tumbling down, and so bright. And then all of a sudden, just as they came to the earth. They opened up, they unfold it, and just this beautiful angel. And how would I say? I remember watching the messy child. And how could I describe sometimes it's very hard to describe, but if you could imagine an unemployed or angel around you, and you're a thought has come into your head maybe to fix a plant because I see you have a plant there. You know, it needs some work done on it, and you reach in, but you're a bit achy and hurts. Well, that's where you can ask an unemployed Angel. They're already dying to give you a helping hand. You know, and since I spoke about them, people all around the world have been sending them everywhere. And I'd say you don't just send them to people that you know believe in angels, you send them to everyone. Anyone that you think of is in need and it doesn't matter what the faith is. But I remember this old lady, and one day seeing her carry a shopping bag. And an unemployed angel had its hand around the shopping bag as well, given the human appearance, and then I never told the story. But then it was like maybe could have been a year later. Or maybe six months later, this elderly lady comes up to me, and just as long as you remember when you were walking over the bridge in Maynooth, and I said, Well, I've walked over that many times. And she just she just said, well, on a particular day, when it was windy and rainy, I was carrying my bag, but I had asked an unemployed Angel, did you not notice how smart I looked? Because it was much lighter. She said, under normal circumstances, if I hadn't asked, I would have been struggling, it would have been harder for me than what was. So unemployed angels help us with all the trivial things in life. You know, the things that you might feel, you don't need help with, you know, in that in that way. So ask them to help you send them to anyone you know, that needs a helping hand. And at the moment, I think everyone in the world needs a helping hand. So I've asked God to let everyone have an unemployed Angel around them. Or a half a dozen, I don't mind as many as possible.

Alex Ferrari 31:36
I love this concept of the unemployed Angel, and that you've named them these unemployed angels is a it's a great, great way of looking at it. Can I ask you? Do they have a sense of humor?

Lorna Byrne 31:48
Yes, they do. They do have a sense of humor and an eye. And they can be very serious to, you know, when they're trying to help you to go in the right direction. And you're not actually doing it there all the time trying to make life easier for you. But they can't overstep that freewill, that choice that you have. And yeah, they do have great sense of humor. I have sometimes I remember being in a hotel, but was the section where you could have people were having drinks and they could have some food. It wasn't like a restaurant. And I nearly burst out laughing. Like, I was sitting at a table here, and I looked up, and I just see this unemployed Angel. How would I say this? Sometimes it's hard making faces in front of this man, and going around him in circles. And it was like, you know, changing the wind around him. He was trying to the unemployed Angel was helping to try and cheer him up. But the funny thing is that what happened was, he looked at me, like he was way down the other end of the room and suddenly turns so I know, the unemployed angel had something to do with it. And I burst out laughing. And he comes up to the table and says, What are you laughing at? And I said, oh, sorry, I just saw something very funny, you know, in that in that way. I said, I just saw something funny passing you by, you know, I used some excuse in in the room. And I said, Why burst out laughing? And he said, I thought you were laughing at me. That's what he said. I thought you were laughing at me. I couldn't tell him. Yes, I was. I was laughing at the unemployed Angel. But the unemployed Angel was doing. But he had changed. He had cheered up have worked. You know? And so, yes, they do have great humor.

Alex Ferrari 34:06
Do you? Do you see angels all the time or is it just occasionally?

Lorna Byrne 34:13
I see them all the time.

Alex Ferrari 34:16
So how many do you see how many are around me? Right now as we speak.

Lorna Byrne 34:20
I can't see them around you. You're on the screen. It's very seldom. It's would be a very unique reason why I would see them but I know that they're with you, of course, but I can't see them on screen. I'd always be truthful. Okay?

Alex Ferrari 34:36
But in person, you can see them better.

Lorna Byrne 34:38
Oh, yes in person, I would see your guardian angel and any other angel that might be around you for any reason. And it's like, you know, the room here has angels in it. It's normal for me. Like you go out on the street and you're well Walking through your town and you see people passing you by and everything. How much notice do you take of them?

Alex Ferrari 35:07
Not much?

Lorna Byrne 35:12
Well, it's the same for me with the angels and less one of them attract my attention for some reason. And there's always a reason. There's always, for some reason, but they get my attention. Because it's normal. It's normal and natural for me. And I could tell you many stories, but I'd have to, what would I say think of one and ask the angels to help me. While one other little one, I'll just give you a little one. And I was walking up the street, not far from my home here. And, you know, there was people coming and going, and you know, cars going up the road. And there was an elderly lady. And well, maybe she wasn't that elderly. I keep forgetting I'm elderly, you know, time and, and things like that, you know, doesn't count bursts. Maybe she was about 40 years of age, but she did have a walking stick as well. But she had a little dog with her. And her guardian angel attracted my attention. And, and spoke to me and just said, Lorna, be ready. And I didn't know what be ready was for in that sense. So when an angel says something to me like that in any way. I am ready. You know, and the next minute, her little dog, she dropped the lead. Don't ask me how she died and the dog charged up the road past me. And I used my force to stand on the lead. You know? That's just to Astoria, and sometimes it could be, you know, a guardian angel or an unemployed angel gets my attention or another angel. And I'm being told something of the person. And it doesn't mean I go over to them. I never do. But I pray and I asked for them.

Alex Ferrari 37:28
And I tell you story I because it's one of my favorite Angel stories of all time. I had a near death experience. She came on. And when she came back, she was able to see angels. And she was telling me a story. She was like, the funniest thing that ever happened to me was I was in traffic one day. And I looked over and generally she sees these tall, seven, eight foot, angels around like yourself. And this, this guy just pulls up in the sports car. And he is yelling and honking the horn and just acting a fool. And in the passenger seat, there's his angel all scrunched up. Because the seven in a sports car tried to do and then she's like, they she's like, I rarely ever interact with them. They never look at me. They never talked to me like other than if it's something like yourself, like there's a point. But this angel just turned his head looked at her and just went up his shoulders like, what am I gonna do? This is my guy that he drove. And I was like, well, that's a heck of a good sense of humor, I have to say.

Lorna Byrne 38:40
Yeah, that's lovely. Angels do have a great sense of humor, but I know they can be serious as well. You know, like, I would often see them, you know, holding the light light in front of people that are feeling very down helping them to see the light of hope in their life, you know, in that in that way. And I'm just so happy that I wasn't how would I say that that I was the educated like you are. I'm I don't lock on being dis so severely dyslexic and every way a crippling as such, it's a nuisance, you know, because you have to figure out everything in that in that way. But even being considered retired it as a child. You know, that stopped me from being how would you say, you know, influenced by the world.

Alex Ferrari 39:51
It was a gift.

Lorna Byrne 39:52
So, yeah, so I haven't I haven't been you know I am because of everything that has happened in my life. And God given me the courage, like from the time I was very, very small, the angels were telling me I would write, you know, and I always remember the day, you know, and I was married and all. And they would say that they'd be best sellers. They'd go all around the world. I used to think they were crazy, you know, silly, but I always remember the day and I know, I always tell this story. But I was feeling my young daughter, she was asleep in her prime, and I was feeling her home. And I was a busy mom. And I was walking up the lane towards the house, the passage and the next minute, I could hear Archangel Michael calling me. And I knew he was coming up behind me. And just stopping and turning around and getting annoyed with him, you know, I'm busy. What are you doing here? Like, in in that way? And, you know, he just said, I have a message for you from God. And I remember just standing there that day and my hands on, you know, the bar, the pram, you know, the handlebars of it. And turning to Archangel Michael, you know, and being annoyed, you know, saying I'm busy. And, and he just says, you know, God says, says, you're going to write soon. And all my life, you know, I had never said yes. To God. Never said, Yes. I was avoiding it. I'm a good avoider. And that way. And just looking at her Archangel Michael, and being really annoyed. And just saying to him, you know, how on earth does God expect me to even write one book when I can't even read? Alright? I couldn't even write my name, my children, which is another miracle, my two boys would write their school notes. The teachers never said anything. So there's a miracle for you. Surely, then you will see children's handwriting. And then you will nothing about me. You know, and Archangel Michael just said, you know, it's getting near time for you to write. And I just got so annoyed with them man had at all. But time for God is different than our time. You know, so it was after Joe had died, that I suppose it wasn't that far ahead. In time. I knew then, I had to write. Because I always knew I couldn't do what God asked me to do. While he was alive. You know, it wasn't, it wouldn't have happened because he was too sick. In that in that way, Mike. But Archangel Michael had said help would be sent. And as soon as I said, Yes, is soon one day in the house and minute, I just said, Okay, God, yes, I'll do it. And do it. Now. I don't know how you're going to work the miracle I can't read or write. You have to work the miracle. And Joe died. And then someone knocked on the door, someone that I had only met through the family, and just said, you know, knock in the door and came in, had a cup of tea. And then just said, I have something out in the car for you. Went out to his car. Now remember, we have no money at all. Like, and brought in these two big boxes, and a small little box and put them on the table. Because I had said to him I was going to write at one stage and everyone looked at me. You know, I'm going to write how can she write you can't even read or write like, you know, those very close. I knew I couldn't. And it was a Dell laptop, what's right here. It was a printer, and it was a dragon that and he just left the boxes on the table. He left and I open them and I said God, what are these? And I was told their computer. And I said well you haven't got a hope this miracle what God is that to me? You know in that in that way, and then the strange thing was I just said to someone else, and neighbor, and I go on to write. And they just looked at me. And then when we were down here at the farmhouse with my daughter, that's another story. A neighbor here, in, in Thomastown, turned around and said, I can set up your computer for you. And he did it in a way that nowadays, all these technical people are just crazy. Because for me, they say, and you do this, so that, you know all that, forget it. And he gave me two buttons to press and speak into it.

Alex Ferrari 45:49
That's, that's amazing. That's amazing. I have to ask you, all this talk of angels that we've been talking about, and your near death experiences and all of this kind of mystical conversation we're having, I have to imagine that at one point or another in your life, you've had some skeptics, you've had people that said, this is insane. But other than when you were a child, as an adult, like this is insane. This can't be true. What do you say to your skeptics? What do you say to people who just like this is crazy, this is insane. And

Lorna Byrne 46:27
When when that happened, at first, I would have said, you know, what have you got to lose? Nothing to believe in something that you might think is impossible to discover the meaning of life? And a lot of people less very skeptic. Isn't that wonderful? Just think about it. You know, they're curious, no matter what they say, if they say you're crazy or mad? Why are they saying those things is because they want to know more? You know, just think about it, they want to know more? You know, we watch an awful lot of movies that have to do with, you know, spiritual things. You know, we even watch GT, you know, all of those things. And we might say they're all crazy, or they're all mad in that sense. And yet science back a number of years ago, went in search of the old writers that wrote fiction, the originals, so that they could look at them to go into science on them as well. How do you think you get your technology? You know, it comes through the mind of someone else. It's imagined maths or imagined. Everything is in that sense? So where's the proof? In that, in that way, I would say to you to the skeptic, you have nothing to lose nothing whatsoever. And you know, many a time I have been asked by different religious groups, like you know, priests and bishops, imams, ministers, rabbis. And back, I don't have many years ago, before the epidemic, the first time I was asked it, I was shocked. And that was these are highly educated people. They have studied all the different Bibles and Crohn's and all of that. And they turned around and they asked me, Lorna, Is God real? And here, I'm looking at them, actually very shocked. Because, yes, God is real. So wouldn't it be great if you discover that now when you're alive, instead of at the moment of that, and allow that spiritual growth to grow within you? And for that intertwining to start to happen within yourself? You know, of the human and spiritual being the soul, that spark of light of God that lives forever. You don't you don't die in and it's so tiny, and yet it's so enormous. It fills every part of your body, but it's out there as well. You have nothing to lose. Like you just think of all the scientists of the past the ones that were maybe executors are drawn into asylums or, you know, horrible things happened to them, because they said no. And the earth goes around the sun. You know, it's not the sun that goes around the earth or, you know, you need to wash your hands. You know, even even the guy that discovered the first computer, you know, the algorithms or whatever you call them. They all thought he was crazy, you know, but he kept at it and kept at it and others joined him. And still, that first computer can do everything that computers do today. I don't know, if you're, if you're knew that

It's just different levels. But different levels of speed and, and things a

Lorna Byrne 50:30

Alex Ferrari 50:31

Lorna Byrne 50:34

Definitely. Definitely.

So are there any common misconceptions about angels you would like to address?

Lorna Byrne 50:57
Well, I do love angel's wings. But I know when someone does a picture of of an angel or a statue, they do birds wings. But the wings aren't like that at all. You know, the way we do wings, and they come out of the shoulders. The wings come straight, they go straight down. In that sense, in, I don't know how to describe that. But I always remember the first time you know, with my editor, when I was running Johnson, my hair was been finished off. And he asked me a question. And I said to him, or angels, you know, I had written in the book, angels feet don't touch the ground. And he said, What do you mean angels feet don't touch the ground. I said no angel feet never touched the ground. And they looked at me, but no one ever knew that. And I said, I thought everyone knew because you see, unless you ask me, I think you already know your nose. And he was astonished. And he went off and done research. And I said to him, you know, but it must be written somewhere. You know, I thought mankind knew that. So one day, seemingly, when he was in, what would you call it? An opera, like all artists, you know, paintings. And he was looking at religious paintings from real old artists. And what do you think he noticed? In some of them? It was never touched the ground. So those artists then were probably very spiritual, very connected. You know? It's like as if the angels have, I call it like a cushion between the Earth and us. And even if an angel just say you saw an angel one day and walked up towards you, you would think its feet were touching the ground? But they're not those that question. They just, it's like they give, how would I say I love it that allusion in that in that way. And because many people around the world would report at different times of the life of seeing an angel, you will often have heard of it, you know, in an accident or something. And the person is saying was the man or the woman that was here with me all the time. And the rescuers are saying, We're the first. That was an angel. Keeping them keeping them alive. Their guardian angel giving a human appearance that wouldn't frighten them in any way. Something that they would recognize. And I love that I always remember a lady telling me she was in a car accident. And she saw an angel appear suddenly in front when she was charged was in the backseat, no seatbelts or anything. And she saw an angel appeared in front of their car and put its hands on it. The car crashed but she said it didn't go over the bank. That was an angel. Again, you know, I love stories like that when people are not afraid. Why should we be afraid to talk of the spiritual part of ourselves? We shouldn't be are afraid to talk with God or the miracles that happen or you know near death. experience or the pain or the hurt, or the laughter or the joy, we feel.

Alex Ferrari 55:05
Beautifully said. Now, you tell me what the sanctuary is. I heard that there's something called the sanctuary in your world.

Lorna Byrne 55:13
Yeah, again that's a huge miracle. And I would always say, it's not my doing and it's God's doing. This is God's plan, by the way, not mine at all. I've just taken part in it. And when I was a child, I have to skip loads. But when I was a child, I knew of it. I saw it, when I was older, I was even there but spiritually. And then when angels and my hair came out, skipping way to that family in America had got the book and also my hair. And what would I say it made a huge impact on the family. So the husband and wife went looking for myself. So they came to an event in London, no, not London, in New York, that I was doing in one of the churches there. And he asked a question, well, his wife was waving her arms to get attention, because she wanted her husband to ask the question. And it was something that I had always said to my son, and I had said to my publisher, as well, my editor, you know, was that one day? A scientist would come along, and have loads of questions to ask. So the lady said, No, it's my husband that wants to ask the question. And he just asked the question, Will garden the angels be interested in science? You know, bringing religion and science together. And I just smiled and said, yes. Because I knew exactly loads of that story. So then they went again, in search of us. And eventually, they found us and got in touch. And we invited them over to Ireland. So here in the farmhouse, they found out more about myself, and other things, I do that I don't advertise, okay. And they wanted to build on extra rooms to the farmhouse so people could come. But we never got planning permission. So skipping forward again, I was traveling six to nine months out of the year. So my two children, Niall, and said, Mom, let's try and find somewhere around that we could maybe rent every now and then, you know, and you could do talks, there are workshops there, whatever. And then, a friend sent a video clip to my son, and my son sent it to me. But now go back in time. Okay, remember, the video clip has come in, but gone back in time when Joe was alive. And heading down this way. The car went in slow motion. And how would I say I went into another time. And Archangel Michael was standing at these two big pillars, and Lilo gate. And how would I say I turned and looked at him. And he just said, Lorna, it's like as if the car and all vanished. But skipping lots of that. He said, Lorna, you will live here one day. And Joe was already sick then. And honestly, I could see over this wall was this small little roof. And I just said no. Joe is too sick. How could we move into that? That it's too small. And Joe, as he was driving just said, Lorna Are you on right, what's wrong? And I just turned and looked at him and I said, I'm fine. And the car drove off. And then coming back to when the video, the clip, whatever you call, it was sent, my son rang and he said, press watch a call button. I know what button to press. And I pressed it. And when it opened up i Our friend sent it as a joke tonight because he knew they knew we had no money but this one because I kept saying it's Thomas town. This is where it's meant to be. And the clip opened up of what do you think I saw first, I got a terrible shock. I saw the two pillars and the gate, and the little roof. I was all I got such a shock. I was, I was dumbfounded. I said, God, what are you doing? What are you doing on me? I said, No way. Can we live there? You know, Joe had already died. I had my younger daughter living with me. And we're in this farmhouse. And that's another story. But then the video started moving down this dusty road to this big derelict house. And my son just said, Mom, what do you think we don't have the money, it's a laugh, you know, it would be ideal because it's actually in Thomas town. That's what you said. God said, it's in Thomas. That's why everyone thought it was the farm house. Sure. My son decided he listened to his guardian angel, and sent it off to the American couples kappa in America, they came back instantly. And they said, that's it. We're getting it. They bought it, I've lost money they bought. So this is all God's plan. So and so many other people have done so much as well. And the sanctuary is about part of it is about it's God's plan. That's what you must remember. It's not mine at all. So the part I know I have to play is to teach people to see not to luck, because you should be able to see what I see, you should be able to see what's in between the screen and me, between your screen and yourself, you should be able to see all of that, you should be able to see angels, as I see them physically, you should be able to look out your window and just see grass, but see all of the energy, all of what's happening. All of the critters, everything. That's normal and natural for me, but it's not for you. But again, that's because society and religion for generations have taught you only to luck. You weren't allowed to think for yourself, you weren't allowed to see things. Everything is translucent sites knows that. But I could have told that, that. And I was a child, I could have told them, you know, so my part is to teach that but to teach love to teach connection between the human self and the soul. The other being that is you and to teach you how to love again, to have compassion and hope to be better, to be better. You know, because I've been shown so many futures. And that's part of what the sanctuary is about, but much more. And I can't describe that much more in that sense. Because when people come, it's like as if, you know, we've had a lot where men would come and they would say, Well, I only came because my wife or my girlfriend said I was to come. Yeah, no. Bias. They turn around and then and they say but this has blown my mind away. This I'm understanding myself for the first time or the feeling that love or that compassion. It's hard to it's hard to describe and kill feign the sanctuary. The word convene is an Irish word, seemingly. And translated, it means sacred place. So you see God picked all this. Not me. You know, this is God's plan, and it will still be here in 300 years and more. There's lots going on. We do lots of things. We do the workshops, you know, but it's, it's growing and I know for from schools all around the world, children will be sent and they will come for a few weeks. The same with college students but I love the power When God showed me what I would call men in suits, you know that our highly qualified would wouldn't dirty their hands or anything like that they work on paper or screens or whatever. And their company sends them out one part was where I was so sure, there was about 20 of them. And, you know, they looked around and said, What's for breakfast. And I looked at them. And I said, just go out there and put those wellies on and go out and get your breakfast, you forage for it. And I can't remember what happened after that, that part. But they did put the wellies on, and they went out. But when they came back, they were different. It was like, as if they were full of light. And they cooked their own breakfast. They done it, they it was like, as if they changed. You know, and that's why their company sent them.

Yeah, again that's a huge miracle. And I would always say, it's not my doing and it's God's doing. This is God's plan, by the way, not mine at all. I've just taken part in it.

That's so beautiful. I'm gonna ask you a few quick questions. I ask all of my guests. What is your definition of living a fulfilled life?

Lorna Byrne 1:06:19
I live a fulfilled life. I enjoy every moment, whether it's good or bad, or pain, or laughter. I'm alive. I love life. And I don't know how to answer that for you. Like, it's a question if you could keep on answering.

Alex Ferrari 1:06:45
Throughout your life.

Lorna Byrne 1:06:45
Yeah. life.

Alex Ferrari 1:06:50
If you had a chance to go back in time and speak to little Lorna, what advice would you give her?

Lorna Byrne 1:06:55
What would I give her? I would tell her, I love her. That's what I would do.

Alex Ferrari 1:07:03
How do you define God?

Lorna Byrne 1:07:04
God? Oh, wow. What a question. And how do I define God? I'm always giving out to God. And But yet God seems to have great patience. And gives me great encouragement. And no matter how much I give out to God, or say, No, I always know eventually, I have to say yes. And I will say yes. And I will be glad I said, Yes. And how would I say when I'm in God's presence, you know, God often calls me, his bird of love. That's the name God has given me. My bird love. My bird of love, if I'm saying that, right? Because I can hear the Dyslexic coming in there, in that in that way. And anytime, anytime I have died. I never want to come back. We want to stay there. It's just that I'm sent back. I have I don't have a choice. I fight and give out about it. And but I'm told no, you have to go back. God is love.

Alex Ferrari 1:08:31
Now, God is love, and then what is the ultimate purpose of life?

Lorna Byrne 1:08:38
To live life. It's a gift you've been given this, your soul is in this human body. And your soul has made you human. Because you feel love. You know, there's compassion and hope there for you. So it's a gift. And it's to live life, even if you only have one leg. It's to live life. You know, there's there's so many. It's like, no way a child who was an extreme case, and skipping the story. You know, at a talk, he stood up and the whole room and silent you could there was seven or 800 people there and you could hear a pin drop was like no one even clear their throat or anything. No one. No one saw him to that moment. And he just said, Lorna, I don't have a question. He was a child. So he said he just snapped question. He said, I just want to tell you. My guardian angel is my best friend. And then I knew I knew already what was coming. And I always do but I won't. I won't say it And he turns around and he says, Lorna, can you ask God for the gift of life for me, you have the gift of life. Everyone out there has the gift of life. God didn't give him the gift of life for an extra two years or something. But he did come to the sanctuary. And he loved it. He came on on Dean occasions, and God did take him back home to heaven. And, you know, we have photographs of him and this big huge tree, that he helped to take the IV off. And he's actually swinging out a piece of IV, yellow, because he was so sold, and the IV is so strong. So we call it Noah's tree now, years ago, he died two years later. But as he asked for the gift of life, you have the gift of life, even if you've only one leg, even if even if you're having difficulty in life, you have the gift of life. And there's so many people out there in the world, that the bullets have already fired, they've already hit the human body, and the human body is dying. And they're asking for the gift of life. And that's why I always say, Don't commit suicide, you have the gift of life. You know, no, I didn't have the gift of life. But God gave him extra time. Because when he did die, the doctors couldn't understand how he still lived for that length of time. Because his brain was scrambled egg. He shouldn't have been alive. So a miracle did happen. Extra time was given. I give out God every day about that by the day. But God does that he puts people into my life. Sometimes they get better to move on in life, and I love that. But sometimes they don't. You know. So cherish your life. Enjoy it. And don't be rushing around and feeling you know I have to it that it's all about material things. It's not. You know, if you have a loved one that is critically ill and you know, they're going to die. Like every parent like everyone, you will give every material possession you have for them to live. Because material things at that point may not think. So live life and enjoy it.

Lorna such a beautiful message. Where can people find out more about you, and the work you're doing and pick up your book, Angels in my Hair.

Lorna Byrne 1:12:59
