Mercury retrograde is the period, a few times a year, when Mercury appears to move backward in the sky, and astrologers read it as a time to slow down, review and repair.
Why It Matters
It is the best-known transit and a cue to double-check plans, mend communication and revisit unfinished business rather than start fresh.
